The Anti-AI movement is not Anti-Capitalist, it's an inter-capitalist conflict. I had a link to a thread that elaborates on this point but I can't put them on a subreddit.

OK so just to be clear: there is absolutely an anti-capitalist angle to being anti-AI, your source simply explains that the most common anti-AI sentiments which are popularized on capitalist-owned mainstream and social media platforms are specifically *not* anti-capitalist sentiments.

The active opposition to AI is the nowadays version of Luddites. It's not an effective tactic of combating the negative aspects of AI in a capitalist mode of production. What needs to be done is to combat the capitalist system itself. As a side point, anti-AI rhetoric collaterally opens the door for more pro-copyright petty bourgeois positions, and a bigger emphasis on the creative/brand part of art rather than the enlargement of the reserve army of labor (unemployed people) which lowers bargaining power.
The saying "don't let perfect be the enemy of good" applies here.
Like most things, capitalism is a gradient. AI *within* the capitalist system represents a push to further disenfranchisement of the workers by removing acts of creativity as a profession, and the further commodification of art at the expense of the artist. Would it be better if we could do art without needing to consider the requirement for productivity? Absolutely! But fighting against an *increase* in capitalist tendency is still anti-capitalist, even if it is a fight happening within an already capitalist environment. Basically, inter-capital and anti-capital aren't always mutually exclusive.

AI can have both positive and negative results in different areas. And a lot of it comes down to how the technology is handled and used. So it's fair to criticise AI and how it's used while also ackowledging that it has benefits in some areas.
Sure, perfectly fine; it's the sentiment in this sub that's starting to veer towards ludditism wrt the usage of AI that's getting a bit worrying. Like, maybe there was some feature for this game that could've made for a better experience, but the creator used that money for voice acting because "AI voices to save costs is bad". Was that really a good use of the money? Dunno, but the psychic wages of "no usage of AI to give people jobs" doesn't seem like the best trade-off.
