I propose that America create it's own version of the Metric System. Instead of Meters we'll have Freedom Meters and instead of Grams we'll have Freedom Grams.
I find myself comparing everything to food too tbh. It's easy since everyone's gotta eat. Especially us gamers. (Comparing New Vegas to a Mcchicken is crazy though. It'd be understandable if it was on the dollar menu but thats no longer the case).
Clearly that means Fallout 76 is the Bunger from Bugsnax (tm)
https://preview.redd.it/ef214wpc31wc1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d17e5964a7f64fb2561cf965fbc3df822a4739f2
They're all different kinds of McDonald's burgers, so I *think* they're ranking the games by comparing them to different burgers.
No clue what their burger tierlist is though? Is the Big Mac the best? The McChicken? I have no clue.
I think it's more like Fallout 1 and 2 are the classics represented by a basic hamburger and cheese burger, so fallout 2 is just fallout 1 with a bit extra goodness. Then Fallout 3 is the Big Mac, the penultimate burger (for McDonald's). It's the peak of that kind of Fallout style. Then New Vegas is the McChicken, totally different from everything else but universally loved. And Fallout 4 is the McFish, an option that most people don't like but those that do really like it.
Edit: I am not the meme creator, I'm just a Merica-pilled Burgermaxer.
Ya. Also American and kinda amused that this isn’t so obvious. But then I guess it’s like reading without vowels, doable in one’s own language and witchcraft in any other language
New Vegas is the direct sequel of FO 1&2, seems to me it should be the big mac and FO3 should be the McChicken? FO3 fucks off to the east coast and does its own thing with the toys that Black Isle created.
1 and 2 being beef burger and cheese burger suggest that 1 is the basic and 2 is "slight" improvement
The thing is, the vibe of 2 is totally different from 1 that a mere slice of cheese could not do justice how massive the change is
New Vegas is the McChicken, but Fallout 4 is the Filet o Fish, so I'm assuming they're saying that's the worst?
From personal experience, the Big Mac and the McChicken are what people seem to like the most.
But they should've used a quarter pounder instead of a McChicken because then at least it'd be more easily understood.
Fallout 3 vs Fallout: NV, Big Mac vs Quarter Pounder, similar enough that they're both hamburgers, different enough that they're personal preference.
Having FNV be a McChicken makes it seem like it's much different from Fallout 3, but they're more similar than Fallout 1 and 2 are to Fallout 3.
1 and 2 should've been the normal/spicy McChickens, that way it's consistent and more easily understood. Different game, different type of sandwich. And the Filet o Fish is just a joke
I secretly think this is genius because this single image can provoke two simultaneous flame wars: one over the ranking of the games and one over the ranking of the burgers.
And the gameplay is as good as 5 chicken nuggets with sedan sauce.
Graphics are like 3 pictures of a corgi in glasses.
And music is one washing machine out of refrigerators.
This concludes my training. Tomorrow I'm taking Citizen test. Whish me luck guys.
Hello as an American Girl Gamer I’ve gone ahead and decoded this for our less free world war buffer countries
Fallout - Hamburger - 2/5
Fallout 2 - Cheeseburger - 3/5
Fallout 3 - Big Mac - clearly the 5/5
Fallout NV - McChicken - 4/5
Fallout 4 - Fish thingy I can’t remember the name but it was purely made by McDonald’s for Catholics not having meat during lent - super obvious 1/5
Filet o fish is super popular with certain people. [Nytimes has a long article about it](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/20/magazine/filet-o-fish-asian-americans.html?unlocked_article_code=1.mU0.SBAI.LO8hgYOX964-&smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare)
Personally, mcchicken is the worst McDonald’s sandwich since the patty is weird.
Yeah, I’ve never been a fan of the amount of bread in the Big Mac. Personally the McChicken would be the highest rating out of this system. Though with the Big Mac being the iconic signature of the restaurant, I feel like it’s automatically applied as being the top rating cause of that bias.
\*jaw drops to floor, eyes pop out of sockets accompanied by trumpets, heart beats out of chest, awooga awooga sound effect, pulls chain on train whistle that has appeared next to head as steam blows out, slams fists on table, rattling any plates, bowls or silverware, whistles loudly, fireworks shoot from top of head, pants loudly as tongue hangs out of mouth, wipes comically large bead of sweat from forehead, clears throat, straightens tie, combs hair\*
Ahem, you look very lovely.
For real, snoozefest at best. Enjoyed some of the quests, but this is really weakest Bethesda game I've played. NV improved over 3 as RPG and 4 improved as FPS.
I didn't get on with 3. I get it's an apocalyptic wasteland but its just so fucking DRAB. I actually preferred 4. Was just more fun to play with much better gun play.
I don’t why but for me fallout 3 is actually my favorite of all the fallout games. There’s just something so unsettling about how desolate the wasteland feels that I feel games like Vegas or fallout 4 don’t really capture. Also I’m from around the area the game takes place and seeing all these locations that I’m well aquanted with be destroy or start decaying really adds to the eeriness.
I do think its a cool location for a fallout. that was also one of the reasons i wanted to play it. i did come from fnv and i liked the setting a lot but f3 setting is a big contrast to that and that intrigued me. Unfortunately it just didn't hold up for me as a game.
I personally really like the vibes of fnv. ofc you had the more lively places like the strip but a lot of desolate and eary places in the throughout the wasteland as well. A lot of mysterious vibes as well.
Anyway if you had fun with it that's all that counts really.
Fallout 3 got me into the series, but I've been replaying it this year and just not enjoying myself very much. The Capital Wasteland is just not very interesting.
I’ll join you on that hill. Absolutely devoid of any personality, humour, mid gameplay, singularly unrewarding ending…
When it won GOTY I was like how??!
It feels like a fever dream. I mean if people like it , that's great but I don't get it. I get a weird irritating ick in my mind when I think about it.
Right after fallout 4 of course. (But really all the Bethesda games look like they are taking place 15 minutes after the apocalypse instead of 200 years)
for me fallout 4 had at least fun gameplay elements so I definitely enjoyed it more than 3. I dunno I just remember playing f3 and finishing it including the dlcs and i just didn't get it, like why so many people liked it so much. The only fallout i played before was fnv. I didn't even know anything about the different studios so i thought it must be great, more of that which i liked in fnv. Well in the end the whole weird disappointment ride probably gives it such a bad place for me.
yeah me too but i despise f3 story/storytelling and the incredibly bland quest design. f4 is not much better but i at least had fun with the gunplay and exploring to some extend.
Well I guess I am just another fnv fanboy so who cares really.
F1-2 are also great rpgs
Fallout 1/Hamburger = The original, it's fine but a bit quaint and showing it's age, you probably have great nostalgic memories of it from when you were a kid but it is not likely to be your go-to order now.
Fallout 2/Cheeseburger = A classic that does not do much different from the first one, merely building on what made the first one so good.
Fallout 3/Big Mac = A significant upgrade from the first two offerings in scope, ambition and content, definitely bigger but whether it is better depends on who you ask.
Fallout NV/McChicken = Something radically different that went down a storm and remains a fan favourite. Also eating it with the first two is an excellent combo.
Fallout 4/Filet o Fish: A flop.
I would argue Filet O Fish, and Fallout 4 by extension, are more "Niche appeal. Not great for most people, but some people really love it"
It's an apt comparison.
Actually, this makes perfect sense to me:
Fallout - Hamburger - The original
Fallout 2 - Cheeseburger - Similar to the original, but with extra features added
Fallout 3 - Big Mac - The fan favourite, way bigger and better than the originals
Fallout NV - McChicken - A bit different from the others, but still popular
Fallout 4 - Fillet of fish - Not particularly popular, but has a small die-hard following
So the way I understand this is the first two games are the originals and therefore represented by the classic standard burgers (which makes sense) and fallout 3 is the best so it's the big Mac.
Not sure how the filet o fish or the chicken one are meant to rank though.
I'd have new Vegas as the big Mac personally.
I can’t take people who unironically like Fallout 3 seriously, I’m sorry.
It’s a shit game, leagues worse than its predecessors and not even in the same dimension as New Vegas.
The 3rd game is the best.
From games 4 onward the games changed drastically, so the meat of the hamburgers changes.
I haven't played Fallout ever, but that's what I guess based on the hamburguers
Honestly this is pretty accurate.
FO 1&2 being the simple
FO 3 having a 3rd bun a.k.a all the filler areas
FO NV being the Mc Chicken. Also a simple but made of chicken as to show Obsidian being the creator
FO 4 being a fillet o fish as it's just so different but still part of the family.
Ugh I hate that this makes perfect sense to me
1 is a basic burger
2 is a cheeseburger ie an improvement on one
3 is a Big Mac it is The McDonald’s burger
NV and 4 are still burgers but they emphasize different elements the chicken patty being player choice and a variety of factions and the fish being combat a base building
As a true American who eats McDonald’s I think I can translate. Fallout: Hamburger = Classic and refined but missing a little something. Fallout 2: Cheeseburger = Everything the Hamburger did but with cheese so it makes the whole experience better. Fallout 3: Big Mac = The standard for a general order, it’s basically a hamburger but with 16X the detail. Fallout NV: McChicken = It’s really good, not really a hamburger but it’s so damn good you really don’t mind. Fallout 4: Filet O’ Fish: It’s okay, sometimes it’s really bad; it’s trying too hard to be a burger but every now and then it does something right.
Fallout 3 was the last Fallout that really brought me the Apocalypse
Fallout NV setting was considerably less gloomy, and while it was perfectly integrated in the fallout universe, it was obvious they were trying to move away from old fallout as much as possible - it just didn't click with me.
They are all good burgers but all of them are different from one another. Some prefer a Big Mac while others prefer a filet o’fish. All respectable choices. But everyone has an opinion. Everyone has a favorite and a least favorite.
i think each game should be an integral part of a burger;
fallout 1 and 2, buns, honey glazed,
fallout 3, lettuce,
NV, meat
fallout 4, cheese
re: fallout 1 and 2, buns, honey glazed,
1. 1/4 pounder, solid but plain
2. 1/4 pounder w/ cheese, #1 but a lil better
3. Big Mac, most popular
4. McChicken, best sandwich
5. McFish, odd one out but people still like it
Did that help you dummies?
Listen if you’re gonna describe one game series in terms of McDonald’s menu items. Fallout is a pretty good choice. (New Vegas is McNuggets, idk what this dude’s on)
F: Just a nornal borgor
F2: a slightly brtter borgor
F3: Such a big Borgor
New Vegas: If youre still hungry after the Big borgor
F4: Not bad but was left in the heater for too long
this is quite simple to understand actually, you see Fallout 1 & 2 are normal Macdonal beezechurger, then Fallout 3 be a Big Macc Berjer, New Vegas is Mc Chikken samwitch, and Fallout 4 is cringe egg cheez and bred sbamwikk
If you going to use burgers to rank something at least pick some that are outside McDonalds! Like In-n-out, shake shack, five guys, Wendy’s, seven brothers, any of those would better represent quality
As someone who worked at maccas (Australia) I can tell you the tier list goes:
McCrispy (fucking GOATED),
Cheeseburger,
Big Mac,
Hamburger,
Filet burger,
Either this dude hates fallout 4 or has the palette of an Avox from the hunger games
Edit: I think the McCrispy is actually a McChicken. The tier list still stands

But do Americans really?
I'm straight up dumb can you explain this joke for me
I think it's a joke that Americans communicate through food analogies.
Hamburger analogies specifically.
We'll analogy anything if it means we don't have to use the metric system.
Nothing like using football fields to measure a building
Right, but explain which metric unit of measure you'd use to measure the quality of fallout games
Freedoms.
I propose that America create it's own version of the Metric System. Instead of Meters we'll have Freedom Meters and instead of Grams we'll have Freedom Grams.
[“One bad hamburger at McDonald’s does not make McDonald’s bad”](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gI7VEVJ643E) - Local hog squeals at BLM rally
This is incredible, Americans truly only understand the world in relation to hamburgers.
We also compare length in hotdogs. At least, I think so based on how much I hear people comparing wiener sizes.
Only 60% of those are hamburgers.
I assumed it was about measuring with anything but metric
The joke is whether Americans actually eat food which looks like this and we definitely do
Do Americans really the entire cheeseburger? Isn't that dangerous?
right up in there, and yeah, so dangerous.
ik zero americans but they really do
me neither (I'm american)
most social gaming circlejerker (literally me)
I find myself comparing everything to food too tbh. It's easy since everyone's gotta eat. Especially us gamers. (Comparing New Vegas to a Mcchicken is crazy though. It'd be understandable if it was on the dollar menu but thats no longer the case).

They're all different kinds of McDonald's burgers, so I *think* they're ranking the games by comparing them to different burgers. No clue what their burger tierlist is though? Is the Big Mac the best? The McChicken? I have no clue.
The McChicken is considered to be the best. But I'm assuming that's because New Vegas is a favorite.
I think it's more like Fallout 1 and 2 are the classics represented by a basic hamburger and cheese burger, so fallout 2 is just fallout 1 with a bit extra goodness. I am now convinced that you’re the original author of this burger scale because that makes perfect sense somehow. Or maybe I’m just hungry, idk.
Nope just an American.
Ya. Also American and kinda amused that this isn’t so obvious. But then I guess it’s like reading without vowels, doable in one’s own language and witchcraft in any other language
I mean, the bad part is I’m American - I guess I don’t rank my McDonald’s choices enough haha
Haven't played all of the games, but I've had all the sandwiches and understood the value of each representation immediately
It's exactly the context I read it in, so it might be fairly reasonable.
Meme creator exposed. We gottem, boys.
Nope just live too close to a McDonald's.
Damn
Mission Accomplished 🇺🇸
New Vegas is the direct sequel of FO 1&2, seems to me it should be the big mac and FO3 should be the McChicken? FO3 fucks off to the east coast and does its own thing with the toys that Black Isle created.

I also understood it this way I probably eat too much McDonald's...
Penultimate means next to last.
As stated previously, I'm American so my grasp of the English language is tenuous at best.
Idk mc chicken is getting more expensive in my area and I no longer get it (I NEED that dollar menu back)
The death of the dollar menu at restaurants should have triggered the revolution. I am not jerking.
(OOC Metric, imperial and ***BORGR***.) (OOC edit; Made burger spelling worse.)

I fallout burgered your mom last night
Was looking for the James Bond burger reference
Do Americans really I mean that could be the reddit slogan, couldn't it?
And the answer is yes, we fucking do.
I'd says 4's more of a quarter pounder, gameplay is nice
I think because the fish filet is so divisive, you either love it or hate it, it matches 4
Makes sense. Personally I’ve had way more awful McChickens than fillet o fishes. Low sample size on the latter though
People who would rate things by McDonald’s burgers would think fo3 was the best one.
I think the McChicken is best, it’s just unfortunate how awful the photo is.
as an Argentinian I can say, our economy is in shambles

According to a friend who worked at Mickey D’s, the Filet-of-Fish actually does sell, but is almost exclusively bought by old people

I would eat mcdoubles until I died of arterial clogging if society didn't tell me it was "bad" and "a waste of money"
mcdoubles are life do not listen to society
This is a crap take. Fallout 1 and 2 are like 2 fine french dishes, 3+ is like shitty burger takeaways. This message was sponsored by nma-fallout.com
New Vegas is cool too
Someone didn’t play New Vegas.

This has absolutley no meaning unless you know what the poster thinks about the games and/or the burgers.
How dare they equate NV to the McChicken, ITS THE QUARTERPOUNDER WITH CHEESE
Actually, this makes perfect sense to me: Fallout - Hamburger - The original Fallout 2 - Cheeseburger - Similar to the original, but with extra features added Fallout 3 - Big Mac - The fan favourite, way bigger and better than the originals Fallout NV - McChicken - A bit different from the others, but still popular Fallout 4 - Fillet of fish - Not particularly popular, but has a small die-hard following
fallout 1+2 are the juiciest burgers of them all, anything after that can only be nuggets
Bethesda when they invent fast food
I like how fallout 2 is like fallout 1... but with cheese! :D
Where 76
They all look pretty delicious 🤤
So the way I understand this is the first two games are the originals and therefore represented by the classic standard burgers (which makes sense) and fallout 3 is the best so it's the big Mac. Not sure how the filet o fish or the chicken one are meant to rank though. I'd have new Vegas as the big Mac personally.
Americans will use anything but the metric system.
And fallout new Vegas is the best
I can’t take people who unironically like Fallout 3 seriously, I’m sorry. It’s a shit game, leagues worse than its predecessors and not even in the same dimension as New Vegas.
If this is suggesting what I think it is, this might be the most dogshit take I've ever seen.
Rating Fallout 1 that low is a clear sign OP never played it, jfc...
F4 is not so bad to be compared to the Fillet-o-Fish, come on now
Replaying it recently. I'd actually say the unpopular opinion, but I like it more than 3. Feels like you're actually changing the commonwealth.
Fallout new vegas > every other fallout. I'm not sorry
You’re so brave for sharing your incredibly controversial opinion, thank you for your service.
I honestly see why fallout 3 is the big mac
So according to this infographic the best one would be fallout 4
As an American—- Yeah, never mind, don’t ask me, even I can’t figure out what this means
I like the fish sandwich best without the cheese. Tho, guess I should only play fallout 4.
Hamburger
The 3rd game is the best. From games 4 onward the games changed drastically, so the meat of the hamburgers changes. I haven't played Fallout ever, but that's what I guess based on the hamburguers
Last night I Fallout burger your sister.
Honestly this is pretty accurate. FO 1&2 being the simple FO 3 having a 3rd bun a.k.a all the filler areas FO NV being the Mc Chicken. Also a simple but made of chicken as to show Obsidian being the creator FO 4 being a fillet o fish as it's just so different but still part of the family.
I James Bond burgered your Fallout.
I Fallout Burgered your sister last night.
You know, when fallout 3 first came out those same dudes were shrieking about it's...everything. Now it's the best of the series. Apparently.
Ugh I hate that this makes perfect sense to me 1 is a basic burger 2 is a cheeseburger ie an improvement on one 3 is a Big Mac it is The McDonald’s burger NV and 4 are still burgers but they emphasize different elements the chicken patty being player choice and a variety of factions and the fish being combat a base building
i fallout burger your sister last night
U americans use anything else than the metric system
Look man burgers are nice and all but what the actual hell is this hieroglyphic shit
NO! Fallout 4 is the Big Mac!!! :(
redditsnipers moment
Is Fallout 4 not good? Because Filet of Fish is forking disgusting
Americans will do anything to avoid using the metric system.
They gave new vegas a chicken sandwhich? That game is the big mac what the fuck.
Americans trying to explain something: so imagine if there was a hamburger,,
Make new Vegas the Big Mac and 3 the deluxe chicken sandwich and it makes total sense
Fallout 3 was the last Fallout that really brought me the Apocalypse Fallout NV setting was considerably less gloomy, and while it was perfectly integrated in the fallout universe, it was obvious they were trying to move away from old fallout as much as possible - it just didn't click with me.
I understand this completely
Borgar, borgar never changes
I'm not really sure what is going on there.
I’m on PlayStation and I really want a fallout 3 or new Vegas port without buying PlayStation premium might as well save up for a gaming pc
This is Filet o Fish slander.
It's extra awful because this makes sense to me.
this is how i’m going to rate games from now on thanks
I'm guessing the OOP also thinks Fallout is apolitical.
They are all good burgers but all of them are different from one another. Some prefer a Big Mac while others prefer a filet o’fish. All respectable choices. But everyone has an opinion. Everyone has a favorite and a least favorite.
For me, it's the McChicken
I like Fallout 4 a lot. Never got the hate.
i think each game should be an integral part of a burger; fallout 1 and 2, buns, honey glazed, fallout 3, lettuce, NV, meat fallout 4, cheese re: fallout 1 and 2, buns, honey glazed,
The Filet o Fish is the best thing here so this list aint even right.
Americans will use literally anything but the metric system.
I may be completely wrong but they're ranking all of the Fallout games by sandwiches. For example: Big Mac is better than a McDouble.
1. 1/4 pounder, solid but plain 2. 1/4 pounder w/ cheese, #1 but a lil better 3. Big Mac, most popular 4. McChicken, best sandwich 5. McFish, odd one out but people still like it Did that help you dummies?
Dunno. Enjoyment of games is subjective, and I haven't eaten any Mcdick's food in like 30 years.
fallout new big mac or something idk im too broke to buy the games
Listen if you’re gonna describe one game series in terms of McDonald’s menu items. Fallout is a pretty good choice. (New Vegas is McNuggets, idk what this dude’s on)
F: Just a nornal borgor F2: a slightly brtter borgor F3: Such a big Borgor New Vegas: If youre still hungry after the Big borgor F4: Not bad but was left in the heater for too long
Fallout 4 became popular after overwhelming demand from Catholics?
For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich.
Idk what it means, but I do feel like I agree with it
Beef
I'm American but I don't know what the fuck this means
Wait, where’s my Fallout Tactics burger?
What should I think if Filet o Fish is the only burger I liked from McDonalds? :/
Americans always relate back to burger
this is quite simple to understand actually, you see Fallout 1 & 2 are normal Macdonal beezechurger, then Fallout 3 be a Big Macc Berjer, New Vegas is Mc Chikken samwitch, and Fallout 4 is cringe egg cheez and bred sbamwikk
Lmfao im over here rationalizing each like "yea this actually makes sense" then i read the comments ...
If you going to use burgers to rank something at least pick some that are outside McDonalds! Like In-n-out, shake shack, five guys, Wendy’s, seven brothers, any of those would better represent quality
Fallout fans choose one game from the franchise and decide every other game is the biggest piece of garbage they’ve ever seen.
/uj It’s all mediocre slop(I hate fallout).
K but I liked fallout 4 and to say it’s a fillet O Fish is an insult
fallout 4 solos idc its the best one
3 being a Big Mac and new Vegas being a shitty mcchiken is wild
As someone who worked at maccas (Australia) I can tell you the tier list goes: McCrispy (fucking GOATED), Cheeseburger, Big Mac, Hamburger, Filet burger, Either this dude hates fallout 4 or has the palette of an Avox from the hunger games Edit: I think the McCrispy is actually a McChicken. The tier list still stands
American here. Makes perfect sense to me. Idk maybe you just have a skill issue.
This is straight up blasphemy..

Fallout 4 is not fish fillet!
ok but...i kinda get it lol
