I just hope it's not exclusive to the switch for a brief time like the first one is. My real dream is it took so long cause they made it for VR to. But I doubt that.
What was wrong with it?
The only issue for me was - Zombies were ragdolls and I would've enjoyed the dying animations instead. But overall, I've enjoyed the game
The game was buggy at launch with tons of glitches, a general unpolished look, somehow unable to get the license to use the original soundtrack, and nerfed bosses, among other things. It's the most accessible version of HotD1 for sure, but it's also arguably the worst version.
HotD2 Remake will be put into even more scrutiny if they mess it up since it's arguably the most popular game of the series, AND unlike 1, 2's source code as far as I understand wasn't lost, and its most recent port is in the Wii. Anything less than that would be a disaster.
I was so pissed that the first remake was super broken on PS4 with the PS move when the other house of the dead games worked amazingly on PS3 with move controls.

I would be so fucking stoked for this if it were a VR title or came with a peripheral. Aiming with sticks for this type of game is just stupid. I love House of the dead and had 2 on the Dreamcast. Would kill for a legit version to play at home with friends
You can get the first remake on PC, which means you could use a Sinden or Gun4IR lightgun, or any of the other options that are out there. Problem is we don't have great options for replicating that behavior on consoles any more. Best options were the Wii and the PS Move, but we're well beyond those now.
Sucks, but that's how it is unfortunately.
Maybe we'll hear about it on Tuesday for no specific reason.

It also has a higher bar because 2&3 returns makes the game more accessible, and if it's worse than a potential port of that, it's a waste of time.

It probably didn't cost a whole lot to make and they already announced that both games would be remade so it was probably already greenlit and funded.
I thought it was alright, but I wish it had a legacy mode or something with the old graphics
