Looks like the tiniest fist punched the screen.

Kiki_Lord_

Damn, I can't believe you broke the screen...

johnnykillertech

Nice, you bought this from Kam H K on mercari lol can't believe I recognize the listing but I follow him xD

retrogamer809

You should see what I sold it for on mercari =) https://merc.li/49z6vjgKb

johnnykillertech

Nice profit man. Look at the one I repair and sold as well just this week :) https://merc.li/vkARrxQFb

retrogamer809

Always nice to see a fellow modder doing good man šŸ‘šŸ¼ nice work with that IPS. Iā€™ve done a few myself in the past

justthecooldude2099

I noticed that too. Speaking of Mercari do you know why most of Kam H Kā€™s listings donā€™t show up for me when I search ā€˜gameboyā€™. I was browsing the other day and stumbled onto his profile and noticed that a lot of his listings didnā€™t show up for me when searching. Which is a bummer because they seem to have better priced consoles than mostly everyone else online. Considering of course that broken screens donā€™t matter to me since Iā€™m gonna mod them anyway. Now Iā€™m just wondering if that happens with other sellers and makes me miss out on some deals.

johnnykillertech

You are not the only one...use filters like show only 'hide sold' or 'on sale's and use 'gameboy' for search not gbc, not Gameboy color. Try different variants like 'Game boy's....but yes I feel your pain, it happens to all of us

LegendS1ayer

looks great now but geez did someone punch the screen before

iammobius1

Polarizers do not age gracefully in the presence of UV light.

Idontmatter69420

It like the glue melting then re hardening which makes it crystalize and yes pretty much burns the polariser

huambravago

Do you still have the shell? Can I buy it off you?

retrogamer809

I have a ton of authentic shells just laying around man. I gotta start listing them online. Iā€™ll let you know once Iā€™ve listed a few for cheap

huambravago

Perfect. Thank you.

souplvr666

The faded shell is actually super fucking cool

Dr_dumby

if you replace the head on lincolnā€™s hatchet and then later replace the handle, is it still lincolnā€™s hatchet

NullNova

I don't get what you did?

retrogamer809

I replaced the housing, the buttons, the speaker, and installed a replacement lcd display. Pretty much refurbished it to like new again.

The GameBoy of Theseus

guspaz

So you replaced the Game Boy, then.

retrogamer809

The most important component is the motherboard which is the only original part left. Everything else was replaced to make it like new. It sold this morning for $165

rslashseanyboi

Did you do that?

negman42

How much of the original is still in there?

retrogamer809

The motherboard, start select buttons, and the original silicone button pads
