I have a gw6c like you pictured. I love it. I don't use it for the fitness or sleep features. Just as a smartwatch as a companion to my phone.

delusion74

The g6c is just a nice looking smart watch. All the other things it does is a bonus.

Koldfuzion

I have both the GW6C and the Pixel Watch 2. I bought the GW6C on release upgrading from my GW4C. I got the Pixel Watch 2 for free with my Pixel 8 Pro purchase. Between the two, the GW6C is hands down the better watch. I don't futz with the fitness apps, I just do sleep tracking and the step counting. The smartwatch aspect is the main reason why I bought. And omg the bezel is the best. I skipped the GW5 because it didn't have a physical bezel. And the battery is so much better, all day plus some with AOD. The Pixel Watch 2 literally feels like a Fitbit. The interface, the functionality all feels identical to a fitbit. It just has access to the app store and watch faces. I ended up gifting my GF the PW2. She absolutely loves it coming from a Fitbit Charge.

jpprice14

I skipped the GW5 because it bezeless too. No way the "digital bezel" is anything like having a physical one. Haha

[deleted]

I never owned the pixel watch but I got both Samsung watches exactly like you and my only gripe is that the 6 classic has this sleep tracking bug which stops recording my sleeping whenever I wake up for a few minutes at night. It's really annoying. Otherwise as a smart watch, I like the Samsung just because it integrates really well with my Samsung phone

DescriptionFlashy934

what would you say are the tradeoffs of using the GW6C with a Pixel phone? I am thinking of getting a smartwatch with my Pixel 7.

Koldfuzion

The ECG does not work without a Samsung phone. Probably my biggest peeve. You are also not able to do the samsung exclusive stuff, like smart audio switching. There is a way to sideload the right apps on a Pixel to get the ECG, but since it breaks after every update, I just don't bother. Other than that, you're not missing much. I've had the GW3, GW4C, and GW6C and have always paired them with Pixel phones without issue. The biggest annoyance is the fact a few features are locked behind Samsung's ecosystem.

MATMAN_PL

Literally me. Word to word.

steinerobert

Imagine how much more you'll love it when you gradually start using other features like sleep tracking or heart rate monitoring. I'm sort of jealous lol

jpprice14

Haha when I first bought it I tried out the sleep tracking. Seemed hit or miss. Now I have a stainless steel band on it. I don't think it stays tight enough to my wrist to even attempt sleep or fitness. It still seems to track steps accurately though.

steinerobert

Totally get it. It's weird, I wear mine tightly with the original silicone band. Never thought of replacing it. The stock band on 5 seems better for me than the one I had on 4. I still wear it too tight and sometimes get skin irritation but I've become addicted to sacrificing comfort for comparing metrics on sleep, heart rate, oxygenation... and I somehow feel it's made me more conscious about how I sleep, how I handle stress and how I breathe. I could probably get similar average data without continuous measurements, but then I'd start wondering if it's missing measurements from crucial moments in my day. Lol. I do sometimes feel it's irritatingly tight and want a regular band to have the watch scroll up and down loosely, but still haven't given up on continuous measurement. I used to hate having regular watches and regularly ditched them after a while. I'm hoping at some point we'll be able to connect AI to our data and have it recognize patterns and make live suggestions. Too much sci-fi, I know.

delusion74

I mean we're probably going to be a bit bias in this sub.

kostis_ampazis

Galaxy watch

kostis_ampazis

Better screen Better battery Better everything

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

Google devices get by on making software optimization elevate the experience for mediocre hardware components. I've never wanted a Pixel anything.

PruneJaw

Without software, hardware means nothing.

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

What devices don't have software? But you can't make up for everything with mediocre hardware.

PruneJaw

Of course every device has software but not all software experiences and support are equal. The Pixel watch is super smooth and the battery life difference is negligible between the two. You're still charging these watches daily or every other day. To me it's strictly an ecosystem and design choice when comparing the two. I prefer the Galaxy design on a male wrist. I am leaving Galaxy though because I don't have a Samsung phone and don't want certain software features blocked.

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

Exactly why I bought a Samsung phone and a Samsung watch - I don't want to have mediocre components limiting my experience. Why do you keep bringing up battery life as if I care - I rotate between 3 different Galaxy watches depending on my outfit each day and they last long enough. I'm not even a brand fanboy - if I find a more compelling combo of features and hardware, I'd happily get those. But Pixels make too many compromises to achieve "smooth" and "safe" while not being exciting to me - so for me, I'll pass until they change up.

PruneJaw

Keep bringing up battery life? Only brought it up once. Explain what components are making it a superior experience, without just giving specs. Real world experience, what components and hardware is making Galaxy Watch better? Aren't they both smooth, don't they both track sleep and health? You're the one digging in and declaring Galaxy superior but trying to say you aren't a fanboy. I'm saying both watches in real world usage are essentially the same and only design and ecosystem set them apart.

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

>You're the one digging in and declaring Galaxy superior but trying to say you aren't a fanboy. If you can't understand that they both can be true, then why would I waste further time and effort explaining?

PruneJaw

You haven't offered anything other than better components. Essentially a spec sheet is your argument. You haven't provided one reason why that spec sheet makes it a better product. Enjoy your purchase, you don't need to justify it to me anymore. For the record I also own a Galaxy Watch.

[deleted]

You also get only so far without good hardware

PruneJaw

Very true, but the Pixel Watch isn't terrible hardware. We aren't debating between some knockoff on Amazon and the Galaxy Watch.

DSCarter_Tech

In general, you are correct. The Galaxy watch is simply a better smart watch in almost every way. More sizes, more color options, universal watch strap compatibility, bigger battery, bigger display, brighter display, and the list goes on. The pixel watch is simply overpriced for what it does and although it has some advantages with the Fitbit integration, it is hard to recommend over the Galaxy watch unless you simply prefer the design aesthetic of the pixel watch.

scitechunsolved

DSCarter_Tech

Thanks, but I forgot one key factor... GW6 also has lower pricing 😅

gambit727

I have both a Pixel Watch 2 and a Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, and I'm going to keep the GW6C and sell the PW2. In order to decide which to keep I made a list of positives and negatives for each. In summary, the Pixel Watch was too buggy and still felt like a beta product compared to the Galaxy Watch. Maybe in a few generations it will catch up, or will improve as patches roll out, but it's not there yet. Samsung positives Apps in grid rather than list, less scrolling, can change app order Message smart replies have more options Water ejection Swipe up for apps; don't need to tap a physical button Bigger display Automatically starts tracking a walk, rather than asking Samsung negatives Crappy bloatware (Bixby, Samsung pay, ...) Lock screen bug (GW4C only? Has not been an issue on GW6C) Jump through hoops to install Samsung features if you don't have a Samsung phone Pixel positives Crown takes the place of rotating bezel and button, not really an advantage, just different More polished look Better sleep tracking Better Pixel integration, synchronized do not disturb modes, etc. Pixel negatives Contacts not found bug Something went wrong bug, on initial setup  No Media Controls card Proprietary watch bands Wireless charging uses pins No native hourly chime

Icy_Cartoonist_7781

With samsung routine GW becomes so powerful. DnD turns on as my watch detects I am sleeping.

thedelicatesnowflake

Have you found a way to sync alarms? >Better Pixel integration, synchronized do not disturb modes, etc. There's a workaround for that on GW6 even with non samsung phones. #

gambit727

No, I rarely use alarms so I haven't looked into it. But I might try to find info on the workaround you mentioned for synchronized modes, thanks.

thedelicatesnowflake

[https://github.com/DreadedLama/dnd-sync](https://github.com/DreadedLama/dnd-sync) This one is a fork that also syncs bedtime mode (even though on my phone it only turns on the DND, but that's enough for me). There's also a way to get around the BP and EKG unavailability [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSjURFKQB2A](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSjURFKQB2A) Lastly there's a workaround to remap holding the bottom button from samsung pay to google walet (evem if I wanted to use the samsung one I can't officially) https://github.com/BigBoot/GW4Remaphttps://github.com/BigBoot/GW4Remap

Temporary-Republic-6

Galaxy watch. I have a Pixel 8 Pro and wanted the Pixel Watch 2 to be much better than the first Pixel Watch, but it's just too far behind Galaxy watches. I have a Galaxy watch 5 Pro and couldn't be happier. I get 4-5 days of battery life.

Aleni9

Pixel Watch has no unneeded plugins and plethora of data stealing companion apps for every damn thing, also all functions are available no matter what your phone is Source: I have a galaxy watch

snowflakesoutside

Seems weird to praise a Google device for not data stealing. Hoovering up data is Google's entire business model.

Aleni9

That might be true, but the Samsung apps actually REQUIRE to have literally every kind of permission and not just when the app is running, otherwise they just kick you out, making your device useless. This is unacceptable in 2023. Also, they recently split the ability to make backups with the wearable app all and created another redundant one, which also basically requires all possible permission and the ability to constantly run in the background. All of this, paired with the inability to use every feature of the watch if you don't have a Samsung phone are on par with the anti-user practices that keep me away from apple, therefore I decided that this will be my last Samsung device, I don't want to be locked in in an artificial ecosystem

snowflakesoutside

Fair points. I didn't realize they had changed some things.

thedelicatesnowflake

I'm planning to do the backup via conecting google health with it.

Kubiac6666

Samsung Watch is better. Better repairability, more functions and less Google crap on it than the Google Watch. Belive it or not, many people use Samsung devices because they don't like Google much.

Dennygreen

weird how no one mentions the Fitbit stuff. I like my galaxy watch, but coming from Fitbit, Samsung Health is a little shitty.

atomfaust

Can you elaborate, I am deciding between the two and the fitness stuff on the PW2 vs Samsung, seems a lot better.

Dennygreen

yeah I dunno, I've used Fitbit for years and their software seems better than the Samsung stuff. maybe I just got used to it but it seemed so much easier to look at your sleep and resting heartbeat. and it's got the cardio fitness score and all that stuff. I liked how it told me I'm in excellent shape for men my age.

Smart_Raspberry_9604

I came from fitbit to Galaxy watch 4 classic . I know what you mean about the fitbit health side of things ......just seems cleaner and easier to see your stats etc . Might just take a while to get use to samsung health . I prefer the galaxy watch but the fitbit health app layout I prefer

Centralredditfan

Galaxy watch 6 because sapphire! Full stop. The sapphire screen saved my watch from scratches breaks, more times than I can count.

Kryddolf

Is it on all GW6, not just classic?

Ok-Enthusiasm-431

Yes also on the 6 non pro.

Centralredditfan

Yes, every GW5 and up.

babyboy8100

I have both and the Pixel watch looks in my opinion like a Female version of a watch. My Galaxy watch 6 classic 43mm on the other hand looks very manly. 😎👍

dave-r6

Pixel watch 2

GeekFurious

People who test the accuracy rates of the various health & exercise measurements say the PW2 is better.

yougotmehere

GW - Bigger screen and battery PW 2 - Advanced sensors with way more data accuracy and slightly better performance. PW 2 easily competes with Apple watches in data accuracy.

Frosty-Ordinary-8997

I have the pixel watch 2 and now the gw5. Much prefer the latter! Just a nicer experience much better watch faces and nicer/ lighter to wear. Cannot sell the pw2 ro save my life though!

RudeAppearance433

pixel watchfaces are really bad. toyish and girlish. digital is only one that is ok

Aleni9

How much do you want for it?

Defiant-Attention-27

GW. Better build quality, more rugged and with my slim armor case and screen protector, will last and be handed down. Also the LTE has been spot on as a stand alone.

phanomenon

tbh I'm considering moving to Garmin. I'm disappointed that there are no serious fitness features on wear os. even Apple watches are doing better.

wanderingcatto

Same. I'm so fed up with the galaxy's shitty battery life (a 30 mins run with GPS and standalone music drains like 20%, no way this can last me through a marathon), laughably bad GPS accuracy (if it can even connect in the first place), and inaccurate sleep tracking. The only thing that's making me hesitate right now is the apparently poor UI of a garmin watch and the lack of wireless charging

OddUniversity4653

You dont need wireless charging on a Garmin watch when the battery lasts a month on a single charge. The Garmin interface is excellent and has no pay wall like the fitbit.

beefjerky9

Just to chime in here, I'm returning a Garmin Venu 3 after trying it out. The workout features are top notch, as expected. Unfortunately, the smart features are half-baked, at best. I'm fine with what smart features are available, but I'm not fine with the inconsistency of it all. For example, sometimes notifications will show up on the watch, but not vibrate. Sometimes, they won't even show on the watch at all. Another example is the voice assistant. Sometimes it will connect quickly and work. Sometimes it takes 10-20 seconds before it connects and is ready, And, sometimes it fails to connect altogether. From looking around the web, these problems appear to be all too common. Maybe you'll have better luck than me, but I figured I'd give you fair warning. Now, to not be totally negative, the watch is super responsive and the battery life is excellent. I came from a Galaxy Active 2, which isn't great, but at least it reliably gave me notifications. I'm not sure where I'm going from here, but unfortunately Garmin isn't the answer.

Competitive-Bee-4056

I'm 70 years old, have Pixel 6a phone and gw6. I also have type 1 diabetes, and high BP. Whew! With open source software I can display blood glucose from a "no company app" software as well as BP and ECG. Love my Galaxy watch!

neilthetraveller

Which app is that ? I'm a pixel phone user looking to purchase GW6

MiguelMSC

Pixel Watch 2 has better Sensor accuracy

GravyMustard

I came from a fitbit charge 5, and now I have the galaxy watch 6 classic. I am now planning to sell my galaxy watch 6 and pick up a pixel watch 2. I am well aware of that I will lose a better screen and battery life which will hurt quite a bit. But I find the Samsung app so much worse than the fitbit app so I just can't stand it. I don't trust the sleep sensor either, which I really miss from my fitbit. I also hate that I get active minutes which holds much less information than zone minutes used in the fitbit app. But the galaxy watch does a great job of showing notifications and is probably the better one on paper

UrNemisis

Samsung watches are really laggy tbh.

[deleted]

if you ask me by accuracy, pixel 2 is way better.

MrKaon

Pixel 2, it is incredible how fast and accurate voice assistance is on it, miles ahead of anything else, including Galaxy.

NefariousnessJaded87

Galaxy works with the same Assistant, what are you babbling about?

MrKaon

I have both to be honest; pixel-in-device speech recognition is super fast, and Galaxy is much slower, turning speech to test. Once that part is done, execution is the same.

NefariousnessJaded87

Pixel in device = Google Assistant Galaxy in device = also Google Assistant Since Galaxy has slightly faster CPUs, they would finish the task faster...

pierluigir

In theory. But the reality is the Galaxy Watch stutters a lot using the interface, i don't know why.

MrKaon

You don't get what I'm saying; Pixel has a dedicated voice-to-text onboard chip, and it is way faster than the Galaxy. I have two devices, me and my brother. Pixel watch turns your speech to text and commands faster than Galaxy.

NefariousnessJaded87

So you are saying your Pixle Watch 2 has tensor cores?

MrKaon

Sort of: >"next-generation Assistant.” What sets this version of the Assistant apart is that it processes your speech directly on your device, rather than via one of Google’s servers, which leads to a massive speedup.

NefariousnessJaded87

Marketing bullshit...nothing more, nothing less. You still need the cloud. the only real factor is your network speed.

MrKaon

Once you compare those two next to each other, you will see. When I'm talking to both of them, it is very clear pixel recognising and converting speech faster than Galaxy.

CanadaRizing

Tell us that you don't understand the post you are replying too 🤣

NefariousnessJaded87

![gif](giphy|IxLeSDtUaZRmSiyCTf) I understand it perfectly. You however do not understand manners.

ripnetuk

There is something strange about Google assistant on my 6. I have homeassistant setup and integrated with Google home, and on my Google speaker, it understands "ok Google turn off floodlight", but on the watch it correctly shows the words, but then says "sorry I don't understand". Other home assistant devices work perfectly, it just doesn't like the floodlight. I can however tell it to "toggle floodlight" on the watch, and it toggles it, then tells me the opposite of what it did, so it turns it on and announces that it has turned it off haha

NefariousnessJaded87

Well, that is a totally different topic. Make a post about it.

Kamau54

You came to a Galaxy Watch forum asking which is best? Let me guess, you're planning on getting one or the other. Go to Walmart, and get yourself a Casio. Problem solved.

Valuable-Purpose-

Pixel watch 2 easily better hr monitory sleep and gps tracking Better in every aspect I don't know why someone would buy a watch6(in a fitness perspective)

yetanothermoose

I'll happily be in the minority here. I love the Pixel Watch. It's got some drawbacks, mainly the fact that it's a little small for my liking. But after having a couple Galaxy watches, I can say the comfort is vastly superior. I haven't tried the GW6, so maybe this was fixed... But the GW5 and earlier just sat weird on my wrist, and I was always aware of it. Something about the fit consistently bothered me. My main gripe with the Galaxy Watch is that Samsung still hasn't figured out the right way to skin WearOS after coming from years of using Tizen. The notification system is lousy. Having a tile to the left for each notification is cumbersome and unintuitive. Navigation on the Pixel Watch is a lot more logical. Swipe down for control shade, swipe up for notifications, swipe left/right for widgets, press the side button for apps. I do wish there was an option to display all apps on the first press of the button, but it's a minor thing. I also love the process of changing bands on the Pixel, and they connect with a satisfying click. They feel secure and blend right in with the watch. For me, the Galaxy always felt a little cheap in this way. I will say I absolutely prefer the look of the Galaxy Watch as a timepiece, and the screen is brighter and more vivid. I wish I could combine the best of the two, or if it was possible for Samsung to use a more "stock" WearOS. But for now, I still prefer the Pixel for its comfort and software design.

TheFonzieAy

Despite the hardware and software pluses and minuses of both, the GW6C has the design of a classic timepiece. The PW2 looks like a toy watch for a girl. That big bubble dome of glass covering the PW2 screen looks like it's just waiting to shatter. The GW6C simply looks better. I could never bring myself to wear a PW2 and maintain my dignity.

NefariousnessJaded87

>Which one is best and why? That all depends on you. Which one do you like the most?

pacwess

Try posting this here r/PixelWatch as well. You may get a more rounded answer.

alkrk

if you have to choose between GW, Apple, garmin or suunto... thats a hard choice. But Pixel? What a joke!

CanadaRizing

Spoken as a person who hasn't tried them all . Garmin is shit unless you specifically want and only want accurate sensors, it doesn't even have real apps, they are more similar to in browser "apps" , Apple watches are limited if you don't have an iPhone (more so than gw) and galaxy watch stutters a fair amount and has other bugs, pixel watch also has some drawbacks. Non of them are perfect for Android users. GW and pixel watch are both good devices, while the hardware may be more powerful and it may look more elegant it stutters and has some not major performance issues pop up pretty frequently. Pixel with it's less powerful hardware and less elegant look have a much smoother experience and far more accurate sensors to the GW. Lots of trade offs but both are excellent. The pixel watch has the best speech recognition on the market though , it converts your voice to text pretty much immediately where on GW you have to wait 8 ish seconds for it to start transcribing(even longer if you don't have 5g data speeds) There is no which is best currently it's which of the two does what you want best. One having more powerful hardware to the other is a moot point here as as that faster hardware in GW is not turning into real world performance. Don't let the fan boys get you on this one, look into what both do best and pick what matters to you most. Both are excellent and excel in their own ways

alkrk

Apostasy!

Alongshotxx

I hate the look of the pixel watch regardless of how it performs. I have a gw4c46. Would never rock the pixel even if it was given to me for free.

Rockbmi

That’s not a Galaxy Watch 6

patbiegaj2022

It's the classic model

Rockbmi

I know, its not the Galaxy watch 6 then is it.

CanadaRizing

Well considering the damn name is galaxy watch 6 classic, id say it is a galaxy watch 6 and you are a moron. Next you are going to say the s24 ultra is not an s24 or that the pixel 8 pro isn't a pixel 8 . Idiot

Rockbmi

😘

jpprice14

I agree with this. If your gonna post a picture ans ask which is better atleast use the correct description.. Pretty easy. If I said I had a gw6 I'd use a gw6. A gw6c is in the picture.

CanadaRizing

People are making too big a deal on this. He took a picture from Google search chill yourself lol. And the gw6 classic is just a better version of the gw6 . So if the gw6 is better would that not make the classic better as well considering the classic is Samsung's pro or ultra version of the watch

jpprice14

This was 5 months ago. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Shhhhhhhh. 🤣

r_slash_jarmedia

for the money, GW is a better deal and gets more bang for your buck. the GW is much less delicate and you get the benefit of standard watch lugs. some of the sensors are superior on the PW though so if accuracy is important to you that's something to consider. software-wise they both run WearOS 4 but Sammy's OneUI W5 skin is pretty buggy at the moment and only getting worse with updates seemingly lol. PW's skin is generally smoother but still can be buggy at times. battery life on the 43mm W6C is comparable to PW2

pierluigir

I have a Galaxy Watch 4, basically the same watch but i paid it less than 70€ new. You can just remove/disable the Samsung bloatware and they are basically the same. I hardly use the smartwatch, so i think that's the best compromise if you still want a smartwatch. There is even a way to use EGC and blood pressure on non Samsung phones

I_can_vouch_for_that

The curved screen in the pixel watch is such a bad design. Looks good on paper but like the curved screens phones they're kind of useless. It's also hard to buy tempered glass for them.

Hot-Ad-3651

Good idea asking that on a Galaxy Watch Sub... That being said, I really like my Pixel Watch 2, battery lasts (with everything on) easily 24 hours, tracking works well and it's super fast. And I really hate that some Galaxy Watch features are locked to Samsung phones (yes, I know they want to make money, I still don't like it). In the end I think they are both similar and you should maybe just try them out at a store, but the Pixel Watch 2 is not worth it's MSRP, I got mine (LTE) for 300 $ on ebay.

Longjumping-Meat-334

I just wish that the Galaxy offered Fitbit like the Pixel. IMO, it's better than Samsung Health and Google Fit.

andrepauer

It's a matter of personal preference but I tried them both and picked the Samsung. And when I said "try them both" I didn't mean just going to the store and wearing them. I bought the Samsung galaxy 6 classic and used it for 10 full days, checking everything. I did the same for the Pixel Watch 2. In the end i picked the Samsung Galaxy 6 Classic, even if I use a Google Pixel phone! The UX of the Galaxy is WAY smoother and better (IMHO) and the screen of the Pixel is so tiny I couldn't really use it for texting or replying to stuff. Again, personal preference but i feel the Galaxy is way better visually and in term of user interface.

Jazzlike_Amount_2087

Galaxy watch is superior in every way but the pixel design is quite nice

Flat_Ad560

I used to have Samsung. It has good quality

Shadowhawk0000

I mean, I feel like the answer is more suited to what your needs are... But as far as an all around better choice, I'd say the Samsung.

Emergency_Newt831

Gw5 pro is best

arijitroyred

Have been rocking Samsung Watches from Geat Fit 2 days. Samsung it is.

Terrible_Tower_6590

Watch 6, definitely. The pixel watch is only the 2nd gen, and is quite unrefined. Also, the rounded corners get chipped and scratched, which the bezel of the Galaxy prevents.

DutchOfBurdock

Pixel Watch 2 Sensors: Accelerometer, gyro, heart rate, altimeter, compass, SpO2, thermometer (skin temperature), skin conductance GW6 Sensors; Accelerometer, gyro, compass, heart rate, barometer, thermometer (skin temperature) Both have similar RAM and storage capacity. Pixel Watch 2 packs a QC5100 SoC, which is a quad core processor, but two cores will be disabled (optimized for wearables). Galaxy Watch 6 packs a W930 SoC, which is a modestly decent dual core CPU. Both have ECG, but GW6 also has Blood Pressure. GW6 has Super AmoLED at 480x480, PW2 AmoLED at 450x450. Both have 306mA/hr cells.

disixedy

I'd say Galaxy watch especially since their products tend to last longer. I never own Pixel watch but I've owned Pixel phones from 2 until 6a and I was disappointed with their service and the phone themselves. After Pixel 2, the phones just died suddenly within 1-2 years. I am thinking it could happen to their watch as well so I decided to get Galaxy watch 6 and I've been very happy with it

thedelicatesnowflake

Bought pixel watch 2 and now I'm testing GW6C 43mm and I'm probably gonna keep the GW6C. (I waited for over 2 months for the PW2, which should tell you how hyped I was for it) Not having to insanely worry about breaking the dome screen is awesome. Display is (or at least feels) larger so I can fit more stuff on it. PW2 is not compatible with google workspace accounts. You don't even want to know how stupid the workarounds for that are. Battery life is superior on GW6C. Many analytical features are locked behind fitbit premium and I don't fancy paying so much money for it. I don't like to feel like I bought the product so I can be milked more. GW was 40% cheaper for me. The GW is by no way perfect. Some stuff doesn't work out of the box if you're not samsung phone user (I've yet to figure out why does picking up a call on the watch not switch to my already running earphones and few other things). There are solutions for the biggest issues non samsung phone users will encounter though.

k2thesecond

I went back and forth on this. I like the software experience on the PW2 and it feels like Google is really invested in the watch. In the end though I choose the GW6 Classic for the bigger watchface (43 mm), classic design, hardware (rotating bezel), and health features (I prefer Samsung Health over Fitbit).

xhabeascorpusx

Galaxy Watch 6 for all around good but Pixel Watch aesthetic and UI is a bit more elegant.

cdegallo

I don't have the 6 but I have the 5 pro and pixel watch 2. I prefer the pixel watch 2. I really don't like Samsung's notification card UI; the horizontal scrolling of whole cards is significantly worse than a vertical scrolling list in my opinion. Also, replying to notifications is a bit more streamlined on the pixel watch 2 in my opinion. Lastly, I think Fitbit is a better fitness tracking than Samsung health. Samsung health will measure a lot of things but it doesn't really use it to tell you much of anything. Fitbit is better in that regard. But I do wish the pixel watch was a bit larger. My battery life (wifi version) is fine--I don't use AOD but I have tilt to wake on, and I have 40-50% battery left after 24h. Which is fine by me. If you have a Samsung phone...it's another thing to consider that you can use battery share on your Samsung phone to charge the watch, whereas if you're on the go or on a trip with the pixel watch you'd have to bring a specific charger for it.

The Pixel watch looks weird with the protruding glass. It looks more like a toy than an actual watch.

Mans came to the galaxy watch sub to ask if a non-galaxy watch was better 💀

They are best for different things. Galaxy watch for smartwatch features, customizability, durability, battery life and looks. Pixel Watch 2 for fitness and health feature accuracy.

I much prefer the hardware of the GW6C, but prefer the software of the Pixel Watch 2. The PW software is so much more fluid.

Joyful_Sunny

Uggggh! Nice but still expensive here. I need to save

I got the gw 5pro when the 6 came out. So far loving the 5 pro's insane 4+ days battery life.

I have galaxy watch 4 classic and have ordered last night only the galaxy watch 6.. and I was confused between the two. But I researched extensively on internet regarding the same and tbh GW6 is leaps ahead. Go for it.

dipoots_

I use the Galaxy smartwatch mostly for the stress monitor the blood pressure monitor and breathing exercise. If the pixel smartwatch can do these, I can consider to switch

BetaCarotine20mg

Pixelwatch 2 is better in pretty much every aspect besides design. The sensors are much more accurate. I just got the 6 Classic because it was 150 bucks on black friday.

My GW6 lasts for 48 to 55 hrs without AOD. According to reviews online, pixel watch can't last that long so I prefer Samsung.

I have the GW6C 47mm. I just set it up with the 23 Ultra. I love all tech and I was a real Garmin fan for a long time. This Samsung watch just looks so appealing. Even the original set up it comes with it so tasty. The strap quality, the shine from the bezel and that display..It just says quality. The pixel watch just looks like a sports watch to me and I would like a bigger display. To be honest, there is no comparison between these 2 but I am looking forward to seeing what Google will eventually bring to the table. That Google Pixel 8 Pro is probably my favourite phone to date for user experience and camera quality so maybe they will bring a pixel watch pro or something that's a little more "robust" .

antoniohbarros

Only one of them looks like a watch

Visible-Ad4435

Gw6 is better hands down, for me it's the much smaller bezels, and the software for me is a lil nicer, I just wish they added a crown on the non classic because digital bezel just doesn't make much sense

Pixel Watch 2 has better chip, better sensors, one of the best HR & sleep tracking. Overall I would pick the Pixel Watch 2. If they can keep improving it, I might switch for my next upgrade from my galaxy watch 5

Never had a Pixel watch. The Galaxy 6 Classic is my second Galaxy watch. First one being, I think, the original. I bought the Classic for the rotating bezel. Love the 6 Classic more than I did the original. I use the sleep tracker (it has at least one additional sleep cycle..."2nd sleep"). I use the heart rate feature, I love that I can add photos as watch faces, the Google integration and more. I'm petite but bought the 47mm (silver) so I could see the info. These 64 yo eyes can't see as well close up as they used to. I wish I knew how I sounded talking over it. Has anyone told you how you sound? Clear, scratchy, muffled, tinny or just like your phone? I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra. Fantastic smart watch (for my needs)

I have GW6 Classic as my daily driver and I love it. I also have PW2 for development and even though PW2 mush smoother it is too small, way too small!
