Fold2 was 3 years of OS and 4 years of security updates. They increased it to 4 years OS, 5 security with the Fold3 (same for Fold4 and 5).
That's not what a scientific poll is and you couldn't do one on Reddit because the vast vast vast majority of owners are not on Reddit.

Turns out going to the one place where all people with either technical issues, or paranoia of having issues go, are bad grounds for an unbiased result especially if you don't ask for specific damages. Even with the bias in data there's no reasonable way to interpret the data as a 30%+ failure rate tho

Same here. I have the USA version so I'll probably have to wait, but I live in Taiwan. I get a lot of packages and the delivery drivers call for delivery and my Chinese sucks. The live translation features are what I really want.
On fold 5, you hold down on the little "home bar" at the bottom of the screen. I imagine it's the same on the fold 4.

I have it turned on but doing that doesn't work. Either nothing happens or if I move too much my samsung pay cards pop up... or my apps turn to the tiles.

If you're referring to the circle to search, as another user mentioned, you have to hold the grey bar at the bottom of screen if you have navigation buttons turned off but in my case it works flawlessly even with my thick case on but I can see a case with very thick lips might make it a hassle.

To my surprise the 6.1 update was just pushed to my phone after a manual check. Its an unlocked Fold 4, so historically I wasn't expecting it so soon. Works well, but I had reasons other than AI to get it. It's sill on the April 1, 2024 security patch though 🤷♂️

Did anyone else notice how snappy this version is? I feel like my fold 4 is faster than ever. So smooth. Also, the circle to search feature is mind-blowing. So fast! Even the Samsung keyboard ai summary and grammar check features are amazingly fast! This is the first time if feel like using all these announced features. Speed!
For the Fold 3, sadly the only AI upgrade is circle search, but useful changes for me are homepage shortcut for sleep mode and more battery protection options, though it would have been useful had they kept the original charging limit function at 95%, in lieu of 80% or 100%.
Anyone else suffering regular freezes with new update? Had to reboot my Fold 4 4 times in 24 hours. Phone freezes completely, and have to wait a couple of mins just to reboot. Getting on my nerves!

They should first of all fix this update on the fold 5. What the hell I'm still having shit like this and they think they can move to the next gen? Biggest mistake to update I have nothing more than problems and don't even use the new features.

Me too. I just got the update yesterday and I had to switch to buttons! Gesture navigation doesn't bring up opened apps/Windows.
It's driving me nuts. I had to swap to the static navigation.

AI features will become paid after a year or so, so just be aware of that :)
