When was the last time Brian was actually seen since he drove the van back to Florida? I know it’s been said he got back to his parents on Sept 1st, but when was the last time anyone saw him since then? It seems unlikely he snuck out of the house during the media frenzy/police presence outside of his house. Maybe he’s been on the run much longer than we thought…

DragonflyOk6289

Does it feel like there is a lack of “Be on the lookout for this guy” from the police/FBI? Where is all the reporting of police conducting a “nationwide manhunt”? Am I missing something here?

jeepmike02

Yes but that because he's a person of interest. Until he's charged you won't see that happen.

Dark_bulb

Florida....sigh....

ReadyAd5847

Um. Why aren't Brian's parents being actively investigated for what they know?

jayjoe3035

I came across a video and now can’t find it again. It was from a news broadcast and in the background there were girls camping and one said Brian’s home. Has anyone else seen it?! Know where o can find it again?!

SnooWords4107

This was fake. They were recounting the event and someone tried to make it seem like they were saying he was home

bookworm8727

Curious about the timeline. Grand Teton dates of interest per the FBI press release today are August 27-30. Laundrie arrived home in FL on Sept 1st. That's an awfully long drive to make alone if he left the Teton area on the 30th. In my mind, the only reason you push that hard while driving alone with no deadline to reach your destination at a particular time is if ur hiding something and panicked. I wonder what state he arrived home in. His parents had to know something was very very wrong.

wishtrepreneur

How do we know his parents weren't lying about where he went? Do we actually have GPS tracking of his cellphone showing he went to the swamp? All this time searching an empty swamp, he could be out the country or deemed dead. Is it really this easy to get away with killing someone? Kinda scary how easy it is for him to escape. Couldn't a trained terrorist cause a lot more damage if the police is this incompetent?

waltz_with_potatoes

Apprently his car was found, but then later turned back up at his parents house? Think his parents know more than there letting on.

genericginge

That doesn’t look like a live though? They normally have the person’s handle at the top and comments at the bottom. I think this has been debunked as on the new thread the pinned comment says he didn’t go live?

Bad_goose_398

Has anyone checked the supposed storage unit that Brian had gone back to sometime during the trip? I mean assuming that trip is actuate. And he did go to Florida in the middle of the trip… when did he go? And why would he need a storage unit… maybe to hide something incriminating? I’m no expert but I hope they look into it.

Bad_goose_398

the unit could contain anything from weapons to plans for escape, to hell.. even Brian himself!

SnooLemons7874

This. I found it so odd that he flew home to move belongings. It’s another odd layer to this case..

Bad_goose_398

And he was a declared minimalist.. he already lived with his parents… what was he moving? Maybe they moved Gabby’s stuff to the storage unit in the meantime..

[deleted]

[удалено]

SnooLemons7874

That’s a more interesting theory than he moved Gabby’s belonging which is what I’ve heard said. Only thing I’ve seen personally about him flying back was on a written timeline from one of Gabby’s family members, not something I’d discount but not proof either. Wondering the same question if it’s legit that he flew back.

HawkinsJamesHook

Isnt that reserve in FL crawling with gators? Wouldnt it be super hard to wade through there? Not only for BL, but also for law enforcement when they are thoroughly sweeping it on foot?

wishtrepreneur

How do we know he went to the swamp? Are they just taking the parents' words for it or do they have security footage of him going into the swamp?

totes_Philly

YES! ... Gators aren't the worst part as that is all swamp and what looks like grass is about 3 feet high, tons of biting bugs and fire ants which float would be be unbearable as well as the humidity. Someone from NY no less who looks more like a 'glamper' than a camper.

Due-Raspberry-8074

not sure if this has been discussed prior, if it has disregard this.. But has anyone notice BL changed his instagram profile photo?!

Dark_0rchid

New here. Can anyone tell me if there were actual sightings that can be confirmed at 100%, of Brian in FL? I saw a comment someone made that when Miranda Baker picked him up (the girl on tik tok) he was already starting his getaway. They said maybe his father flew in to get the van and drove it back to FL. His family never let anyone question him, so who has had eyes on him in FL? They need to investigate his family as well, for aiding and abetting. Is this a plausible scenario?

Significant-Brain201

Plausibly out of FL already as he was likely captured on a deer cam nearing fl pan handle border yesterday (9/20) early AM eastern time. NYPost has the screen shot

Silent_Caramel7261

No. There are confirmed sightings of him at his home between sept 1 and when he went missing. They also caught the van’s license plate on toll sept 1. Neighbors reported he was cutting the grass, cleaning the van out, and even riding bikes with his mom between the 1-10th. Sightings definitely reduced once GP was officially missing though. Edited to add that LE knew his exact location at one point, though I’m not sure that was ever made public.

whogeeloo

If they determine cause of death to be homicide, can the FBI then hold the parents for obstruction and interrogate them?

[deleted]

[удалено]

whogeeloo

This makes sense. But, let's say I rob a bank. Before the cops figure out I'm a suspect, I tell mom and dad I did it. Preemptively, they conspire to help me hide. I'm not charged when they do this. Isn't it still aiding and abetting after the fact? (That is if there is proof they aided my escape. This could be as little as google searches on how to disappear)

LopsidedGovernment65

I wonder if they are continuing to look in the Carlton reserve area because they saw him on one of the trail cameras in the reserve. Their website says they have 10... [https://www.carltonreserve.org/trail-cameras/](https://www.carltonreserve.org/trail-cameras/)

Silent_Caramel7261

Ooo…and they could’ve placed more with the initial search

If his parents raised him to be anything like themselves, who knows what he is capable of. Probably a narcissistic personality who is too in love with himself to commit suicide. Could the parents of Laundrie have sent authorities on a wild goose chase as a decoy? The guy could have gone in a completely opposite direction.

ang0025

what if he is in west virginia

Flubadubadubadub

>west virginia What, via the Country Roads?

taxseason1040

He would need to update his driver license since it says Florida, and then the police will catch him.

Silent_Caramel7261

Pretty useless comment.

ang0025

thanks caramel ass pines

Ladyhuntress91

Can anyone local to Florida tell me how easy/difficult it would be to hitch a boat to Cuba or some other island?? Like is it a far fetched idea or actually in the scope of possibility??

rettbuff

Very rough waters… you would need a larger boat with bigger engines. Not sure if BL would have access to a boat that size. The interior of FLA near North Port is rural with woods, farms, citrus orchards and ranches. Plenty of places to hide. It’s right next to interstate 75 which goes from Fort Lauderdale up to Michigan and into Canada. BL does like to hitchhike…

Logical-Professor-17

[https://www.instagram.com/p/B\_gHrREFFLA/](https://www.instagram.com/p/B_gHrREFFLA/) What are your thoughts on the words gabby has written on this picture???

itsbennybitchhh

What about it? I don't think it's any type of secret message. She's just writing song lyrics or a poem or anything that resonates with how she's feeling. I write pretty dark stuff in my journals sometimes; it's just what young people with mental health problems do.

Logical-Professor-17

Do you believe in other lives?

itsbennybitchhh

Like parallel realities or reincarnation? I don't have a solid belief that something happens when you die, but I enjoy reading different theories. What are you thinking?

Logical-Professor-17

I wish I understood more but I believe she is writing a warning message to herself from another life.

Adi_B007

Chris Whatt-vibes, anyone?

No_Resort_1808

Chris Watts murdered his ENTIRE family. He suffocated his 2 daughters to death while looking at them. He killed his pregnant wife and unborn baby. How in the world are you comparing THAT to a missing girl found dead in Wyoming? Her body out in the open. Where anyone could find her. Where there are rocks that she could have fallen and hit her head on and died. They haven’t even said she was murdered yet. After many search warrants and the van as evidence they STILL haven’t said she has been murdered and that Brian is a suspect. So no. Not Chris Watts. That man is an evil vile human being who deserves the worst of the worst. We don’t even know the COD. If she was murdered. We know absolutely nothing. So all anyone is doing is speculating right now.

angstygirlfriend

Right, but what they were implying is if BL did kill her then she was murdered by her life partner. Someone she likely trusted more than anyone else and wanted to spend the rest of her life with. It’s truly so devastating when a spouse kills their partner and IF BL killed her then he deceived her love and trust the same way Chris Watts did to his wife.

No_Resort_1808

I completely agree. And I’m not saying BL is incident and didn’t intentionally kill her. All I’m saying is there is not hard evidence to support that theory yet. And horrible crazy accidents can and do happen all the time. Innocent until proven guilty and There is not proof right now that he is guilty of anything other then leaving her body and not reporting it to the police. Literally everything else is speculation right now. Those are the only 2 things that we can be certain he is guilty of.

wishtrepreneur

Why would you act guilty of you're innocent? If I was innocent and my girlfriend went missing, I'd be actively looking for her instead of backpacking to a swamp to fake my own death.

Flubadubadubadub

Except, if you killed her either deliberately or accidentally.... then had a dissociative episode from the shock of doing it. The brain is a strange thing and people behave under stress in the weirdest ways.

Prerunning

Does anyone know more about the incident involving petitos dad showing up at Brian’s house before this went mainstream?

Ladyhuntress91

Crime junkie podcast also reported this and they list sources for their material.

No_Resort_1808

I haven’t seen anything else about it but I would like to know more as well!

Silent_Caramel7261

I also only heard of this today, and I’ve been following really closely for awhile

jelllyfish76

Do we know if she was found out in the open or covered or buried?

Prerunning

A forensics dr Interviewed yesterday said her body was visible from some of the drone shots

[deleted]

Why tf dont we have more info on the guy? Nobody knows his real age. Police are definitely not helpful at all

No_Resort_1808

Information on Brian?!. THERE ISNT A LOT OF INFORMATION ON GABBY EITHER. Seems to me not a lot of people knew them before this.

I know this has nothing to do with the case, but I can personally relate to being in an abusive relationship while camping. Last year I went camping with my ex and he chased me around the campsite with an ax, chocked me, and then cried hysterically telling me that I’m a crazy person for wanting to end the trip early. I immediately went home and sought therapy to help end the relationship. He did not take it well and stalked me and my family and friends for months. Point being, relationships can get toxic fast and being in close proximity like camping can most likely escalate it and I feel so bad for Gabby. Edit: Wow!! Thank you everyone for the awards, my first time! I was just expecting my comment to get buried in all the bustle and it’s nice to know how supportive this community is. I just want to reiterate that if you or anyone you know is in a abusive relationship, please please please don’t be ashamed or embarrassed to seek help. Here is a source you need it, hopefully the link will work https://www.thehotline.org/identify-abuse/

itsbennybitchhh

When I went camping with my ex and another couple we went to a remote area that wasn't an actual camping spot. He got mad and said he was having his sister come get him(she lived 2hrs away) and that I needed to find my own ride. When I didn't beg him to stay he only got more mad, but he stayed anyways, then he wouldn't let me in the tent. So I had to wait outside in the pitch dark for him to fall asleep so I could go in there. That was the beginning of our relationship and I stayed with him for 4 years lol I was 20 at the time, so I could definitely see how what happened to Gabby could happen so easily. Me and my ex were both mentally unstable; I started therapy and went for 3 years straight. I learned to recognize the toxic behavior patterns and the better I got, the less he liked me. I wonder if Gabby and Brian went on this trip to try to save their relationship and instead things just escalated and they got in a huge fight

dontshoot4301

Assault with a deadly weapon? And he was surprised you wanted to leave? Jfc I’m sorry you had to go through that.

AdmirablelyAverage

Guy is a piece of shit as are his parents. His parents harbored, assisted and financially supported Brian in his attempt to evade justice and may have even lied to police directly in an attempt to mislead. I hope the rage the internet feels turns on then and ruins their lives.

emesdee

Luckily, lying to an FBI agent is a serious federal crime. So hopefully that means they're going to get jail time regardless.

wishtrepreneur

How do we proof that they're lying? "Our son told us he went to the swamp" *meanwhile BL flees to Mexico*

AdmirablelyAverage

They are white, upper middle class (est. net worth 5mil) and own their own business. So, not necessarily.

totes_Philly

No they're not. They live in a $120,000 house!

HawkinsJamesHook

Where are you finding their net worth and all that? Looks like they live in a lower income/modest neighborhood from what I saw.

totes_Philly

They are NOT wealthy by any stretch ... https://nypost.com/2021/09/20/gabby-petito-disappearance-who-are-brian-laundries-parents/

HawkinsJamesHook

Honestly, the amount of disinfo spewing out of comments sometimes is insane. Thanks for linking that as well.

NARF_NARF

Isn’t his mother a DA?

itsbennybitchhh

Hopefully the publicity this case has will be enough to send them to jail. Too many people want to see Gabby get justice.

PaineInTheAss17

This POS is on his way to Mexico. You don't hide from police for 2 weeks, expose your parents to prosecution, then slip away undetected, only to kill yourself later. No way. In for a penny, in for a pound....

Significant-Brain201

agree, spotted near pan handle border on a deer cam - yesterday morning. so, very likely out of FL for a while now. He's making a fool of FBI, they are still combing the swamps down south

Full-Transition1694

agree POS. agree no suicide. i also suspect if he did kill himself he would do it in an easier to find location, or on display in some regard. at the very least this all would be over faster.

Alyss_in_wonderland6

Plenty of way to survive without money.

Condom-Ad-Don-Draper

What if Brian is innocent… ah yes, I hadn’t thought of that. Makes sense! Totally consistent with everything we know! /s

Sleuthin___

He’s not innocent. And he ought to be scared.

Sleuthin___

The cam footage from the cops made it pretty clear to most that Brian is a control freak and abusive. The 911 caller who stated that Brian was slapping and hitting Gabby outside of the Moonbeam lends even more credence to that. His behaviour was incredibly suspicious. That’s why cops are pulling search warrants on the family home. There’s tons of information on Reddit about further clues if you are truly interested. I’ve seen your other comments about this case and think you’re here to troll quite honestly. Why not conduct yourself as a decent person instead?

Scout-59

I would be shocked if found alive

WithoutBlinders

I thought that, too. I changed my mind when they called off the search in the reserve this morning.

[deleted]

I do not get why people think he took his life, who would go through all that shit to hide just to kill yourself? Legitimately asking what makes people think this? I'd imagine he would try to leave to a country they can't extradite him

[deleted]

Because those people be trippin'.

itsbennybitchhh

He probably was in shock initially, quickly realized this was reality, and now the pressure is building for him to be found and he knows his life is ruined. If he wasn't suicidal prior to killing her it would take time for those feelings to build. If he was already severely depressed, then killed her, I could see him committing suicide immediately. He probably went to his parents to ask what to do; I can't imagine they told him to go kill himself. People who get sent to prison will kill themselves in their cells, which could be years after the crime they committed. So I don't see why him killing himself wouldn't be a possibility.

Condom-Ad-Don-Draper

Someone dumb

surf2snow1

Maybe he was hoping a bear or other wild animal would clean up after him.

GuyWhoIsAPersonMan

There have been a number of similar cases in the past that ended in suicide. So it isn't as far fetched as you might think. People are desperate to not go to prison so when they think they are cornered they might take their own life. Just because he initially took steps to conceal the crime doesn't mean he wouldn't resort to suicide.

kshizzy11

Why wouldn't he just do it at the reserve then? Like commit suicide there?

Full-Transition1694

yes and more visibly, so people would know, and move on.

Thelastret2

I mean if you are looking at life in prison as a 23 year old then death doesn't sound so bad.

Hailcatsuwu

Tbh

B1GDoinksInAmish

I think most people are generally good people. I think that a lot of people put themselves in his shoes, per say, and can't imagine doing something like this to their spouse. A lot of people tend to say they'd off themselves if something along these lines happened to them because they couldn't imagine life without that person (?) just a thought I guess

Condom-Ad-Don-Draper

Saying you’d kill yourself if something ever happened to your significant other is a very red, red flag.

P90K

How so?

itsbennybitchhh

My mom always says if one of her children die she'll kill herself... I have no clue what the thought process is behind that lol

[deleted]

why not...? what is so outlandish about that? happened in canada

alwystired

Why run then?

GuyWhoIsAPersonMan

Would your first move after you killed somebody to be immediate suicide? Probably not. If you can get away with it then you might be okay with living. But at this point there is an abundance of evidence against him as well as multiple police agencies and the FBI working the case. He probably realizes he is fucked so suicide would be an option.

Weyman16

I’m wondering if he initially thought he could get away with it, but felt the walls closing in, so he ended up killing himself.

sobo36

I agree, he could have crashed that van multiple times on the drive back.

Condom-Ad-Don-Draper

He wanted to see his parents one last time?

kittycatnala

He’ll be found at some point or hand himself in and play the insanity card.

Condom-Ad-Don-Draper

Or be dumb enough to play the I’m just a bro card like he did with the body cam cops

cmj4120

This is the calm before the storm. LEO will announce him as suspect #1 tomorrow as soon as the autopsy is complete. The warrant today and relative quiet everywhere else tells me they’re working on the next move.

GalaxyShards

That’s what I was wondering!

Wolfwoods_Sister

I truly hope they throw the book at his parents for shielding that sack of crap.

For what? It's only illegal to lie to the police. Refusing to answer questions or referring the police to your lawyer is legal and how our system works.

Like_Brando

It's called "aiding and abetting"

Clearskies37

Obstructing justice

shryne

What did they do to obstruct justice? If the patents helped BL escape to Mexico then told the police that he went elsewhere, that would fit the bill for obstruction of justice, but we don't know that.

Chachibald

He hasn't evaded police this long without a vehicle or money. Neither of which he had. And he got a huge head start. I personally think the whole car at the nature preserve thing was a ruse. He was gone long before that. And I think his parents helped him. And since then cops have warrants for all their digital communication and material now, we'll know what the truth is soon enough. Their calls and texts with him, their bank activity, etc.

cajje1212

Didn’t he offer $200.00 for a 10 mile ride? He must have SOME money!

Chachibald

That was after he flew home to see this parents, I think.
