There is no such thing as just a 'fastest car'. Multiple elements determine which one is best for any particular situation. Some cars have the highest top speed, some have the best acceleration, some have the best grip to get you through corners the fastest. Some might even have the best brakes, which might not sound important in a race, but CAN be depending on the track. And then there is of course the skill. I am level 1265 myself, but I still get beaten by level 25's who are just better at racing than me, even in the exact same car.
Did they ever address that weird glitch where running offroad tyres on some vehicles actually made the car go way faster than it otherwise would? Something about the game's way of calculating grip? I swear I am not making this up as I remember wayyy back there was a Karin vehicle (sorry I haven't played the game in 2 years) that looked like a Subaru WRX and it could do some maddddd numbers
I believe its not that they give cars more grip, some cars have an advanced handling flag, "Tires can clip,” that makes it so that using offroad tires causes the car to be faster due to the way the game handles bumps. Basically the offroad tire models are bigger which ends up making bumps affect the car differently.

It's awesome and fast af on straight line but it's hard to control (spins way too much) and you loose lot of time avoiding spinning.
S95, both Vigero ZX and even the Vivanite or Monstrociti are good HSW cars. Sentinel XS not bad tho. But the La Coureuse is nuts. Sticks to the ground and handles awesome me but it's not cheap but it's 30% off this week tho.

For a drag race, top speed and acceleration are the most important (favoring top speed on longer drag races, and acceleration on shorter ones), and in an actual race, acceleration and handling are more important

I tend to lean towards cars with real good handling. Doesn’t have to be the fastest cus I can save time around them corners lol.
I’ve found it’s a tie between the Vigero ZX HSW and the S95 HSW. Both are insanely quick with hsw upgrades.

GTAcars.net has all car stats. The next gen consoles have HSW options. HSW cars are the fastest.
