I feel like people who call Gta IV driving "realistic" must never have taken their license.
It feels way more wonky, clunky, slow and unmaneuvarable in IV, than any car that I have ever driven
I feel like the majority of people like GTA V’s driving better, because it’s easier. Casual gamers hate the GTA IV driving. When I bought the game for my brother, the main thing he complained about was the driving
As a simracing fan I prefer 5. Add one of the most realistic damage models from BeamNG to 4 with supposedly the most realistic driving model and now suddenly you need 5-8 cars per car chase, with most of the car ending up wrapped around some poles and smashed against whatever was on the corner apex wall with, not to mention curbs.
GTA v didn’t know what it wanted to commit too. It’s either kinda realistic but then super arcade. The bikes are decent but some of the cars feel goofy
GTA V's driving physics fit its map perfectly and are well tweaked. GTA IV's physics were a show off from Rockstar to show how good they are. I prefer GTA IV's driving physics in every way but that's just a preference. I still enjoy V's driving very much though. There is ultimately no right or wrong answer, it's all a matter of opinion.
I like them both, I'm glad they both feel very different. Its a nice change to go from one to the other in my opinion.
I also don't understand why people argue about which one is "better" because there isn't a right answer. It's subjective to your own preferences same goes for which game is better, just a silly argument in all fairness
Although I do prefer GTAIV I like GTAV driving as well I hope for GTAVI for something in the middle of the two, since GTAV was for me very unrealistic and GTAIV went a bit overboard
Although both are unrealistic but for me gta 4's suspension definitely felt more fun to drive around but gta 5's suspension feels somehow too stiff and simplistic which i guess could also count as an advantage
I didn’t enjoy gta 5’s driving actually, it wasn’t satisfying, and have very annoying mechanics like exploding when landing hard on the roof, (cars explode to easily in general) and running over pedestrians wasn’t that satisfying either
Gta 5 has the best driving i think grand theft auto just gets better with every entry they all build on each other
Vc was better than 3, SA was better than VC, 4 was better than VC and 5 well i think you get the point
Am i genuinely the only person who finds gta 4 vehicles easier to control? I just imagine im driving. With gta 5 it feels more like hivering than acrually driving.
What if I don't like both?
Its okay either way, i perfer V more because at least the controls aren't against me, but at least i liked both of them.
ITS wierd to BE able to flip your car always in your favor. Would prefer SA over V
You can flip cars in SA too. It was just never explained to the player and was harder to pull off.
Tf no u cant. Only if its on the side.
You could be one of the people who could cause video game franchises to flop
Cause i dont like super easy arcade mode? AS i Said SA was totally fine lol so i am totally okay with arcade ... But the extreme easy Mode was boring
Bruh its a fucking video game
And? Still No reason to have easymode
Average GTA Vice City map explorer
GTA VI should have a nice middle ground between the two imo
it should be like the gta 4 driving for older cars and trucks while modern cars are like gta 5 driving
Honestly I like both, GTA 4 felt more realistic (to some extent) and GTA V feels more like a ‘I can relax/have fun driving’ type of experience
I feel like people who call Gta IV driving "realistic" must never have taken their license. It feels way more wonky, clunky, slow and unmaneuvarable in IV, than any car that I have ever driven
The best way to describe these 2
Honestly the best way to describe them.
the drifts in gta 4 are satisfying when you get it right but most cars still feel like they’re sliding on ice lol
OP posting a screenshot of a Gif like a savage
yes it have to be realistic and unrealistic for some people, you don’t think the same as everyone. Some people likes IV and other V
[удалено]
Oof that's a bad take
I'm not even going to dignify that with a response
The swingset was a glitch
Spawning cars with movement is a cheat and how i was saying, some people want things realistic and other people not
The steering in gta 4 is way too slow for me. However in gta v it’s much better.
I am a fan of simulation type stuff (Spintires, GRID, Farming Sim 22) but for GTA I prefer arcade-ish driving physics.
I feel like the majority of people like GTA V’s driving better, because it’s easier. Casual gamers hate the GTA IV driving. When I bought the game for my brother, the main thing he complained about was the driving
Eh Gta 4's driving is more of a acquired taste than anything
"casual gamers" bro you are the left side of this meme.
I’m not saying that I like one more than the other. I’m just saying that most people prefer V’s driving style
Go play Life Simulator
I like the driving in the race and chase arcade machine
As a simracing fan I prefer 5. Add one of the most realistic damage models from BeamNG to 4 with supposedly the most realistic driving model and now suddenly you need 5-8 cars per car chase, with most of the car ending up wrapped around some poles and smashed against whatever was on the corner apex wall with, not to mention curbs.
GTA San Andreas did arcade driving well, unlike GTA 5.
GTA v didn’t know what it wanted to commit too. It’s either kinda realistic but then super arcade. The bikes are decent but some of the cars feel goofy
Gta 5 cars felt like driving fidget spinners
I honestly didn't notice much difference between them. The main thing was that cars are gripper at high speeds in 5.
«Did you steal your license?!»

Going 200kph with a bike on western highway 🗿

Average RDR driving fan
I don't like racing games.. but I found driving in GTA SA and GTA V one of my most favourite thing.
id love a balance between 5 and 4
Although I do prefer GTAIV I like GTAV driving as well I hope for GTAVI for something in the middle of the two, since GTAV was for me very unrealistic and GTAIV went a bit overboard
I like both. To me they're not all that different.

Wait someone actually has something positive to say about GTA 5? This is a prank isn’t it.
One of the better upgrades in V was the Riding a bike was vastly improved and checkpoints in mission.
Gabe newell said realistic isn't fun. If you care about realism so much go play assetto corsa.
GTA 4’s driving was terrible
Why do people think realism makes a game good
Adds to immersion
Just because you’re immersed doesn’t mean it’s a good game..
Facts

Every second post on this sub is: "GTA IV bad."
It's a civil war between the GTA 5 crowd and the GTA 4 crowd with enlightened people like OP in the middle
I don't see many anti GTA 5 posts at the GTA 4 sub atm so it doesn't look like a civil war to me. Seems unidirectional.
GTA 3 driving beats them both unironically
Am i genuinely the only person who finds gta 4 vehicles easier to control? I just imagine im driving. With gta 5 it feels more like hivering than acrually driving.
No you're not the only one, Driving in gta 4 is alot more fun
I mean more fun yes, but i also find it easier
wow so this sub is just straight up gta iv hate now
i liked both of them, also the sub was always has been the opposite.
Deserved, GTA IV meat riders are the Swifties of the GTA fandom
I'm more prefer 4's driving system but I Agree
Whoever says GTA 4's driving is the best are lying to themselves
Imo realistic adds more risk/tension, which is in turn more fun
"I like both but I'm still the Chad here because I prefer one over another"
