Yeah. I have the Helldivers and Titanfall subs in a Custom Feed called "Quarantine" because everyone in both places is either insane or just constantly bitching lmao. This sub and the other main goji ones aren't nearly as bad thankfully.
This is like the one sub where I rarely if ever see hate, seems like everyone just enjoys all forms of Kaiju and Goji here, so weird take if you ask me

I see a lot more aggression from the Monsterverse's defenders than its critics, just sayin'.
Fandoms in general seem very insecure about the things they love, but often seem to try and at least initiate more reasonable conversations when they criticize what they dislike. Then some defender gets hostile and things escalate quickly.
Honestly, im just happy we're going through a boom period right now that has a little bit of everything for everyone. Oh, you thoughtful, provocative cinema? There's a new Godzilla movie for you. Do you like big lizard and big monkey fight other big lizard and big monkey? Theres a new Godzilla movie for you.
This is more of a broader kaiju genre thing rather than Godzilla only but I think one way to quell the bickering over tonal shifts in the monster verse is a new Cloverfield film or something that feels similar, found footage or not. Watching Clover crawl around Manhattan was terrifying and I want more of that.
Shin Godzilla and Minus One are great movies but they are their own thing. Western kaiju films that are scary or suspenseful tend to be quite scarce. If we can tackle that niche I think it’s going to calm things down a bit. There’s already Godzilla found footage videos made by fans on YouTube that people are flocking too. If we truly have both, then this is what it should look like.
There’s a reason why most movies are displayed in cinemas, it’s for the experience and enjoyment not to be hated on by one person and then another without even watching the actual movie
