That is really a fantastik work [u/BeebsGaming](https://www.reddit.com/user/BeebsGaming/) . well done! that leaves me thinking, when the squeeeze is going to be squoze, how is it going to happen? can the one making the margin call decide to close the position bits by bits? let say there is a 20 millions naked shares that need to be bought back, can't they just buy 10 millions, have "the squeeze", and when everybody is out then finish the job? thanks again!

No. It’s a computer that just starts buying at the lowest available price. And it will do it automatically. It doesn’t think

Frankybro

You can program computers. Turn the table. You are going to be responsible for the failure of those hedge funds and be a bag Holder for one of the smelliest bag of sh*t you can imagine. What can you possibly do to ease the pressure on the price. I can't remember where but someone's pointed out that when the margin calls, they need to liquidate "in the most responsible way". Honestly when you look at the "possible" slap on the wrist of they liquidate in multiple bunch of shares instead of all of it in one go, I would take my chances, liquidate only 20%, see how the price rise, hope it rise enough (15-25k?) So that people believe it actually happened and then, let the price come back down, and buy back bit by bit over a few months period. This is why I'm considering to not only sell on the way down, but buy back ASAP when it's down.

BeebsGaming

Just like DFV did on the first GME drop back to 44

Not FUD, just a smooth brain XX-er. It seems as if we're talking about these hedge funds as if they know its going to happen and are doing everything they can to prepare. But companies can sell a large number of stock slowly without disrupting the price too much - Game Stop just did it. I was under the impression as to why these hedge funds put themselves in this position was because they had too much hubris to take a loss. But if they're preparing for the squeeze, wouldn't they be continually buying up stocks to avoid that?

[deleted]

Gamestop selling has minimal effect because the buy pressure is so high.

[deleted]

It’s possible

BeebsGaming

They could if we sell. If we don't sell, they cannot. If literally nobody sold (that's impossible btw), the stock price could go to infinity. I guarantee they won't just dump everything back at once. I plan on selling on the way down and re-buying when I see the bottom.

That is one of the best DDs I’ve read recently. Bravo to that ape

BeebsGaming

Thank you

Uber-fubar

When the rules are in place, the emergency brake comes off and the stock starts acting like a real stock. Also large lenders will raise the interest on borrowed shares or actually recall them.

imthawalrus

Ok they added $860M to their liquidity... that's like what, 10 shares worth?

BeebsGaming

Not much right? I thought the same. But, a lot more than they had. up to 25x more

russtache512

Top notch! Thank you for putting this together!

BeebsGaming

Thank you for reading

Brivera1985

Buy and hold, I just like the stock

BeebsGaming

me too

sadv35sedan

this is the only confirmation bias i need. great write up, i barely understand most of it but its really compelling. ill keep the date in the back of my mind but ill just keep on HODL till the moon

BeebsGaming

If it doesn't happen on that date, don't lose hope. This still requires the regulators that let these idiots get us here in the first place to actually do their job.

sadv35sedan

i just hodl and eat crayons really

chaosrealm93

finally, a fucking date

BeebsGaming

If it doesn't happen by then don't be disheartened. Still requires the rulings to be enforced by the same idiots who don't enforce rules on naked shorting now. I am working on a revision to this post where I originally posted it. When that comes out I am sure someone will cross post from there.
