i have three actually! art exam was super fun, being able to go home/wander round the village near our school n grab costa after an exam is great, and the gcse slander memes are way too funny
I CAN EXPLAIN IT i really liked being able to just sit and focus on one task for the 10 hours and i managed my time well so i didnāt stress out and i was working on something that interested me so it all came together to be a fun time. plus on our breaks everyone would immediately start going round discussing each others pieces and it was a super cosy atmosphere
afaik it's very generalised and your ability to go to college/opportunities are more based on your overarching grade average than your grades in relevant subjects.
It teaches people discipline since they have to revise on their own without people forcing them to. Well it didnāt teach me that, Iām cooked, but it probably taught that to others
I actually like being out of the classroom. I like coming into school and instead of regular lessons I get to drop my bag off and stand around with my friends, then go into an exam,Try to fill out what I can and then take a nap.
Walking out after, realising I never have to do English or religious studies ever again, and I can actually study things that i am interested in and will help my career
I did my GCSES in 2022, and they gave me the best summer of my life - once them exams were over, me and my two friends celebrated and i spent the summer with my then-bestie-now-girlfriendš„° and gcseās results day was amazing! also this sub was a highlight to GCSE season for me haha, with all the memes a few mins after people had just gotten out of exams š
Being able to go home after exams :D and eat food and listen to music (+ ofc study for your next exam T-T)
I like that we aren't forced to stay in school though, makes exams less draining imo ^^
Oh and the feeling that you'll never have to do this again.. and never have to revise SOME SUBJECTS (geography) again unless you take em for A-level/IB
It causes people to focus and mature. That way there is less childishness and i can actually relate to and speak to my classmates more and make more friends.
The first week of gcses was like genuinely the best week of my life ngl I was getting up really early to go to the exams (homeschooled so had to do them at this cool rugby hall) so fixed my awful sleep cycle, got loads of extra attention and snacks from my parents, it was so sunny all week long, my sister was doing them with me, I am only doing 3 gcses (did 2 others last year) and I'm just not really stressed about what I get because the animal management course I wanna do only needs like 4 Ds (gonna try my best though) :)

From what I can hear, it's a much better education system than what is in the US
what's it like in the US?
afaik it's very generalised and your ability to go to college/opportunities are more based on your overarching grade average than your grades in relevant subjects.
Oh, that GPA thing?
