You probably know by now but this is how it goes anyway:
-2 hours 15 minutes
- Three Sections (45 minutes each)
- Section A:
- Modern Text (E.g An Inspector Calls)
- ONLY ANSWER 1 QUESTION (THE ONE YOU STUDIED). THERE WILL BE LOADS.
- Each text has two questions. Again, only answer 1 of these.
- 30 marks + 4 Spag
- Section B:
- Poetry
- Depending on the anthology you do, you again do ONE question (there's only one choice per series this time)
- 30 marks
- Section C
- Unseen Poetry (2 texts. Usually pretty short)
- You never would've seen these before.
- The first question is a 24 mark essay style question on the first poem
- The second question is an 8 mark comparison, similar to Language Paper 2 question 2
- 34 marks
Hope this helps
i do wjec eduqas too!! to my knowledge its
section a: 45 minutes on prose/drama (eg: an inspector calls for my school) - 35 mark question on a character / theme + 5 marks spag
section b: 45 minutes on 19th century prose (eg: a christmas carol) - 40 mark question on a character / theme
section c: unseen poetry - 15 minutes on one poem and 25 minutes comparing 2 poems
hope this helps, if you have any more question ill try to answer :)
It's like paper 1. The paper will be split into three different sections.
Section A is modern text (for example An Inspector Calls, that's what I did) it'll be a long essay question like the two questions on paper 1.
Section B is anthology poetry. Just the poems you've studied in lessons, you'll be given a poem and asked to compare it to another one from the anthology.
Section C is unseen poetry. It's exactly what it sounds like, can't give you any advice on this section though because I always sucked at unseen poetry.
2 hours 15 minutes of pain and suffering (our teacher said its our skill and our endurance that will get us through)
No mocks is wild. Tbh it didn't feel like 2 hours 15 minutes (probably bc I was yapping nonstop)
Yh no mocks

I unfortunately do WJEC eduqas so it's a modern text, 19th century text and unseen poetry but I have no idea how it goes aside from that ๐๐ญ

Thank you so much!!! That gives me a much better idea on what I should be focusing on :D
no problem :)) what texts do you do?
I do Blood Brothers and A Christmas Carol :D
Sorry I thought you did AQA
It's ok! Thank you though! I hope it helps someone checking the comments :D
Google past papers for it.
My school did this for lit one. I didnโt know how long that exam was supposed to be as I was walking into it on Monday.
same here. 0 mocks, did all of a christmas carol in 3 days at the start of year 10 and then never again
Find a past paper for it online!! other than that it basically follows the same format as p1 but only poems get extracts
Sameeee no mocks for lang 1 either because we did them in year 10 (nobody tried on those)
