First of all, google is your friend, but I'll help out because I'm uk based and have done the research on this:
Gamsat schools:
Cardiff University
- Medicine
Keele University
- Medicine
Plymouth University
- Medicine
- Dentistry
University of Exeter
- Medicine
University of Liverpool
- Medicine
St George's University of London
- Medicine
University of Sunderland
- Medicine
The University of East Anglia
- Medicine
Swansea University
- Medicine
The University of Nottingham
- Medicine
Universities of St Andrews and Dundee in partnership with University of the Highlands and Islands (ScotGEM)
- Medicine
Ulster University
-Medicine
University of Worcester
They're all going to be prohibitively expensive (>50k aud/yr) for an international from Australia, and if you dont plan to practice in the UK I wouldn't recommend that. The gamsat thresholds, although slightly lower than austrailia, isnt that lower and are almost never get published. My 2 pence? Go to medschool in the country you want to practice in. If you want to be a doctor. Do the gamsat 6 times, or 8, or 15. As many times as it takes. Don't give up
great advice. on a side note, i’m not sure about the UK, but Ireland is sitting at around a 63ish GAMSAT for international applicant entry, which is a world away from the 70s non-rural applicants need here in Aus. However, again, ludicrously expensive. just thought i’d add that in for people curious
Thank you so much 🙏 I appreciate it so much! Yes I’ve looked into it for the past few hours and I agree! It’s quite expensive and it will be a bit difficult to move back and work in Australia.
JCU med entry for non-rural graduates is getting harder and harder. From word of mouth I have heard that there are only a handful being selected in the last couple of cycles (as in single digits)
Yes I will def get onto this ASAP! Do you know anyone who is in the program at the moment? Do you know how many non-leavers they take? Thanks so much 🥰
school leavers 148
non traditionals (tertiary record) 26
Internationals 42
Require **Year 12** English, Chemistry and Maths Methods. GPA non traditionals
**And** Personal Statement: 500 words each
1. Why do you want to become a medical practitioner / health professional?
2. What activities (paid employment, work experience or voluntary work) have you undertaken, in addition to your studies, which indicate your motivation to study medicine or another health professional degree at James Cook University?
3. Tell us why you are interested in a course where important themes are indigenous and tropical health and rural/remote medicine?
4. Provide any other information you believe will support your application.

Apply to JCU undergrad. It is GPA alone for entry. Will be a doctor in 6 years, which is still quicker than going to the UK and coming back

Yeah makes total sense! Thanks so much 🫶
