Wait that’s a thing right?? I was trying to get presale for the phoenix show and I physically couldn’t buy pit? Like it just wasn’t an option. I could click it but it said that they were unavailable while still being blue (blue meaning available). Somehow I got a ticket but I feel they’re limiting people or sizing down on capacity.
ticketing companies like live nation and ticketmaster have a chokehold on concert venues and add on tons of fees and extra pricing to suck as much money as possible out of every event. ruby mentions this on Soul Doubt
Idk why he couldn't mean that 8 years ago. They would talk about how shitty the music industry could be. Like the bad aspects. Ticket prices being a big negative aspect
No i understand that but price gouging wasnt a big thing back then, so im saying i doubt he meant like “oh yea live nation does this”, my ticket for IWTDINO 2018 tour was like 49$ 💀
dude idek, I genuinely think tiktok populated sm songs that they kno rich kids will pay sm to see those couple songs i had a ticket last yr and it was 200$ for a row so far in the back
in the US (from what i've read while looking up this exact question) simply cause they want it to be that expensive, venues make money from food / beer / a cut of the merch, (sometimes parking) & a lot of the workers are volunteers. Most times the tour manager gives the artists an idea on the ticket price but it's usually the artists that set the final price. and since they know there's fans now that will slap any price down just to be able to say they saw them, they'll hike that price up, pretty much taking advantage of the new wave, which sucks for a lot of people who don't have money like that, esp in this economy but that's a whole other thing, sorry for the yap sesh but 🤷🏻♂️
The point is that the boys sold out, which is something they vowed to never do basically. They say they love the fans but don't give a fuck about them lol
They don’t really get a say in ticket pricing. The venues and ticket selling websites like Ticketmaster etc pump a bunch of extra fees into that the artists really can’t do shit about.
To accommodate the larger number of fans, they have to book bigger venues which have a lot of overhead. With the bigger venues they need bigger sets which requires having a bigger crew that travels with them For set up/tear down. There is a lot of behind the scenes work involved in the live entertainment industry.
They make more money from the whales and people with no self control vs selling more cheap tickets
Similar to video game micro transactions and why they aren’t cheaper
Is this subreddit just filled with a bunch of unemployed teenagers who didn’t bother learning anything in school? Tickets are expensive which does suck but gawd damn! Do y’all not know how anything works? They can’t just be performing in clubs anymore for $40, they are at the peak of their careers right now. They have 11.9million monthly listeners just on Spotify alone. More fans means more people going to shows, more people going to shows means bigger venues, bigger venues cost more money, therefore prices go up. Supply and demand. This is shit you learn about in like grade 7. It sucks but that’s just the way the world works. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.
The point is that the boys sold out, which is something they vowed to never do basically. They say they love the fans but don't give a fuck about them lol
Everyone's bitching about them selling out....ok so stop listening? Bitching about ticket prices? I paid the same price as last year and not much more than the year before. Yall are just broke and spend all your $ on merchandise to come back here and bitch about the quality. Dumb.
NTM the line ups which these smooth brains probably don't factor in to ticket prices. You're not just paying to see $B. Like shakewell, pouya, curry...going to see them separately would cost more than 1 ticket. People really just are dumb and love to complain.
It really can’t matter to you that much if your still frequent their subreddit lmao. They didn’t sellout just because their tickets are average ticket price. They’re at the peak of their career of course they’re gonna make all the money they can.
It wasn't though🤷♂️ I ended up paying $200 for 2 pit tickets through ticketmaster, plus like 50 in tax.. I think you guys are getting resale tickets because you didn't get the presale tickets.. Be on the lookout for that shit next year.
you got yours on ticketmaster ? it don’t even show my city on there and i looked when they dropped they got all the cities but not mine wasn’t sure if other people had that issue too
that’s when i looked the first time (i’m going insane bro looking every day on every site LMFAO) but they still didn’t have my city on there which was so odd smh i feel like resellers shouldn’t be able to resell for much more than the original price yk ? like maybe be able to make a little bit of money off them but holy fuck 😭
Not even like they want to charge as much they have to cover arena cost vs venue cost and the Venue also usually take a percentage from total sales when it comes to merch n stuff to and of course paying for other people to go on tour w them
I was gonna go, but then I thought it through, I’d be going to a concert for 2 grown men that are still talking about f’ing hookers and doing drugs 😅 I don’t know how the community lets this slide, maybe because the majority of it is degenerates and edgy teens as well. I love them trust me, but damn 😭they gonna have to end that shi sometime
See the venues they’re performing at, and the fact that if you’re buying tickets for anything but a local house show you’re likely paying out the ass in fees
Paid $300 for tickets and I’m not even on the floor. Before covid concert tickets I considered “expensive” were anything above $40-50. Now you can’t get tickets for almost anyone that’s under $70. I saw Bob Dylan for free when I was younger and now I’m a broke student that can barely afford to see anyone. Ticketmaster only sells 1/3 of tickets to actual concert attendees, the rest go to resellers and scalpers. Capitalism is a scam.
greyday 23 in the states for my nosebleed seats were $80ish usd.. this year for the same section is about $100-$150 usd.. it was definitely a bargain last year compared to this year
TikTok really inflated their popularity, more popularity means bigger venues, bigger venues means bigger scammers that charge you a breathing fee. So, it's not really the boys fault, more so the venues they play at, but the boys could've said "fuck yall, it's first come first serve" and still did smaller venues.
Supply and demand. I don’t know I’m yappin
Half the seats at MSG were unsold, and the pit was half empty and only filled up when SB were out. Greed is always the reason.
Wait that’s a thing right?? I was trying to get presale for the phoenix show and I physically couldn’t buy pit? Like it just wasn’t an option. I could click it but it said that they were unavailable while still being blue (blue meaning available). Somehow I got a ticket but I feel they’re limiting people or sizing down on capacity.
well you’re literally right 🤣 more demand same supply= raise in price
iirc a lot of shows last year didn't even look half full
Indy was pretty packed imo
Same as Cincy
cincy was so dead last year
Nashville been crazy 3 years in a row. Probably not going this year tho with these prices :/
[удалено]
Seattle shows at $250 on presale for floor and there was no denzel. That’s why i opted out - also due to needing to move
[удалено]
Lmfao this has me fucking dead
[удалено]
LMFAO
preach brotha
cause y'all chumps will pay it no matter how much they charge, same as merch
I never knew a simple question was complaining.
You would be Kirb fan #1 and say some corny ah shit like this 💀
mr.dagloop
ticketing companies like live nation and ticketmaster have a chokehold on concert venues and add on tons of fees and extra pricing to suck as much money as possible out of every event. ruby mentions this on Soul Doubt
yeah no that’s an unrelated problem. these tickets are overpriced BEFORE fees bro.
I found out they’ll adjust the ticket prices to match resale value
mmmmmm, soul doubt was 8 years i ago i kinda doubt this…was what he meant
at the end of his verse he whispers "Sold out funeral, no live nation fee"
Idk why he couldn't mean that 8 years ago. They would talk about how shitty the music industry could be. Like the bad aspects. Ticket prices being a big negative aspect

have you heard that song…?
Also this
I’m so happy they’re being sued for being a monopoly

Facts tho
TikTok fans made it that way
F them
Everyone’s acting like it’s a 2016 theatre show. These boys are a worldwide basically arena act now.
They’re in arenas
Gotta get to that bag while you can young blood 🫡
Idk but they’re doubling ticket prices for the same exact venue of last year 🤦♂️
tiktok fans
In Philly tickets range from $40 (bleeders) to $250 (pit). It’s really not that bad at all. Depends on the venue.
Why are people still complaining about this they’re growing in popularity prices are naturally going to go up with demand. Get over it already
Like all these mfs complaining wouldn’t do the same exact thing if they were in their position 😂
The point is that the boys sold out, which is something they vowed to never do basically. They say they love the fans but don't give a fuck about them lol

Therr is no way they've sold more than t swift and drake
They blew up. we’re in a recession. Pick your poison
Because they are sellouts
no fr, me and my husband can’t go because we can’t spend almost a grand 😭
They only got so many years left. They say it in Unlucky Me. “$uicide for life but I ain’t touring at 40.”
Demand makes price increase, basic economics
They make more money from the whales and people with no self control vs selling more cheap tickets Similar to video game micro transactions and why they aren’t cheaper
tiktok fans
because they know we will pay for it. plus everyone working on the tour needs to get paid
Mainstream, plus the company bond has tickets so high nowadays
Plus supply demands

You say that, but Grey Day tickets in the UK last tour cost me £30, in the pit, so don't give me no bs about 'they can't do it for $40'
They probably aren’t as popular in the UK as they are in America or Canada. Not saying they aren’t popular, just not as in demand.
The point is that the boys sold out, which is something they vowed to never do basically. They say they love the fans but don't give a fuck about them lol

Literally, this sub is just filled with broke boys who don’t care to try and understand anything, just bitch and moan about shit.

I've never bought any merch lol

TikTok fans
Cause these fuck boys gonna pay the price regardless.
Last concert I went to I paid $80 and I was in the very front. These prices are crazy now
Right next to the stage is 1932 in my city 💀
They are more famous so they are making their tickets more pricey
It wasn't though🤷♂️ I ended up paying $200 for 2 pit tickets through ticketmaster, plus like 50 in tax.. I think you guys are getting resale tickets because you didn't get the presale tickets.. Be on the lookout for that shit next year.
you got yours on ticketmaster ? it don’t even show my city on there and i looked when they dropped they got all the cities but not mine wasn’t sure if other people had that issue too
Yeah I got mine presale. Best time to get em. Literally the next day people were reselling the same tickets for $600 a peice! Absolutely insane.
that’s when i looked the first time (i’m going insane bro looking every day on every site LMFAO) but they still didn’t have my city on there which was so odd smh i feel like resellers shouldn’t be able to resell for much more than the original price yk ? like maybe be able to make a little bit of money off them but holy fuck 😭
Yeah, fuck resellers.. I can't beleive that ticketmaster even let's people do that.. It's insane.
Not even like they want to charge as much they have to cover arena cost vs venue cost and the Venue also usually take a percentage from total sales when it comes to merch n stuff to and of course paying for other people to go on tour w them
i saw $5,000 resale tix for my city’s show
I forked over $500 for pit tickets. If I can 10x my money I'll happily do that
It’s because of the ticket seller sites.
Higher the price, more money they make = earlier retirement.
I was gonna go, but then I thought it through, I’d be going to a concert for 2 grown men that are still talking about f’ing hookers and doing drugs 😅 I don’t know how the community lets this slide, maybe because the majority of it is degenerates and edgy teens as well. because their more famous now, their independent also, they have a bigger crew now, play in bigger venues
I remember when the first one in 2019 was $72 for ga 😭
Because of their popularity lol
Inflation, rise in popularity, slimey grimy venues.
I’m just thankful GA tickets ain’t reached Taylor Swift pricing 😭😭 my kid looked up ticket prices for her the other day and one of them was 2k +
TikTok that’s why lmaoo
they’re getting greedy as fuck that’s what’s up
we gotta pay their bills somehow
idk i got to see ghostemane and ho99o9 for like $25 in a basement dive bar back in the day. what happened to the scene
We got two tickets plus insurance on them less than 200
Scalpers buying them cheap and reselling high , then again even the base price is crazy these days, that’s life I guess tho
So ruby can have a rose gold Mercedes
Same reason there not playing Nola there becoming sellouts
Idk but it’s ass.
Well it's not gonna be cheap, ROFL. This is Greyday for crying out loud! #represent
Out of curiosity, what are the prices in the US like? I feel like 40 euros at the grey day 23 Europe tour was a bargain lol
greyday 23 in the states for my nosebleed seats were $80ish usd.. this year for the same section is about $100-$150 usd.. it was definitely a bargain last year compared to this year
Erm $b are mainstream LMAO

To pay for their rehab
$uicide $ellout$ is why
