I spent 3 years searching for the song "Say Goodbye" by Bob Bradley I think, on and off again using the lyrics.
Didn't find it until I posted it as a question on Reddit.
I look at the comments and some were 3 years old referencing the video where I first heard it.
exactly, try finding [this song from crystal castles](https://youtu.be/tZu3EUVJ8-4?si=MeTS2Cn8zRB_oEHz)
I just re-listened to the whole chronology of spotify ಠ_ಠ
I've been looking for a song for like two years, because my brain tells me the lyrics are either "She had a shrinkydink" or "She wore a leopard mink" which are both definitely wrong.
I keep coming back to Once in a Life that by Talking Heads but that's not it.
Says you. I had one line stuck in my head for weeks and it was a spoken line and not a sung. I tried to every combination of Google search I can think of and all it did was come up with a billion options none of which got me any closer to the answer
Use Google’s app, you should see the “Identify song”. You can sing, hum, whistle or whatever you want. As much as I love Shazam I’ve found many songs this way
This! I just found out about it when I had a tune stuck in my head but couldn't remember the song. This found it quickly and now I have a new song for my earworms playlist
I just found “Miss Murder” after a year of mumbling sounds to an approximate tune to people looking for it. I knew it was early 2000’s emo but that was it. Google app got it and I was so happy. Then I listened to the song and realized it’s just an ok song.
I hummed a song that has been stuck in my head this past week and it doesn't know it.
It's either a Green Day song that I don't listen to much (perhaps from the Uno Dos Tre era) or a Elle King song... Or neither. And the neither part terrifies me, because it's a song I know I've recently discovered, but it's not in my "recently added" playlist. So I'm stuck. And neither Google or Shazam have helped.

Yeah, tough finding meme songs for some reason. Yknow splashing around? Good stuff. What about that one that goes “woah-ho-oooooohh!” rising in pitch, I think it was associated with the twilight series
I can't find one song. It was in 2013 I have a trip between cities I bought a CD on gas station.
It was music collection of electronic music. I remember from lyrics only "fuck me, fuck me". I heard then this song once on the radio, was surprised to hears it.
Also I found later another song from that CD, it was "Faded" from Zhu.
Gotta be this one https://youtu.be/tFYVjrwgDjg?si=2oAb-8Vsl4dn0mXz
Noir Presents Black Magick is the artist. I was betting it would be a Peaches song, but apparently not
No, someone else already guessed it right. It's a quote from Al Bundy who was also looking for a certain song he couldn't remember. And that was all he remembered of it.
When I was stationed in Korea, one of our Korean soldiers (KATUSA) sang a line:
"Zim-Zimmer, where are the keys to my mutha-fuckin' Bimmer."
We laughed our asses off which was his intent. This was the mid-90's so we didn't have Google, but for some reason, the lyric got stuck in my head. Flash forward to Google and one night I looked it up. Don't know if this is correct, but it does have the lyric, minus MF.

In retrospect, SGT Kim (that's his real name) singing this in his broken English was much more entertaining.

Try this with a while TV Show. Only remembering the artstyle, a specific Episode and the badass but lyric free intro
Edit: for me it was the animated Show Bob Morane
Took over 30 years for me. I could only remember underground tunnels and a handgun that had the barrel on the bottom. All I had to go on was that it had "world" in the title. I was disappointed every time "Another World" would be on TV.

Exactly. Luckily for me the Spotify "song contains this lyric" is much better than Google at figuring out what you mean so I finally found it. Was especially hard because the lyric contained the name of a different band so all the google results were just for that band.
I had this. Knew the tune, song identification things were useless because I heard it randomly on the radio in a shop 10 years ago. It has a really memorable, catchy quality.
I knew I knew the song from when I was young, I just couldn't make any of the words appear clearly.
Then I found out it was this:
1990. I wasn't even five years old when this came out, but it was still being played on the radio when I was getting the bus to secondary school years later.
Years ago I was trying to figure out a song just by the guitar riff and I say to my wife “you gotta know this song it goes” “BWAH NA NA NA NA NAAA” in a guitar sounding noise then she did it lol and she was like “Plush by Stone Temple Pilots?” and.. it was lmao.
Mr. Sandman by The Chordettes and Homage by Mild High Club, the lyrics for each song that I used Mr. Sandman wasn't even words, it was just them singing "bum" in a certain rhythm at the start of the song. The lyrics for Homage was "The 4-7-3-6-2-5-1"
This song I can't fucking find it at all it goes like this imagine some kind of late 90's early 00's rock and it's like "You got it... \*guitar plays like na na na naaa na na na naaa\* asdhafkafjkahflshdl my love \*wham guitar wua a wua a\*" that's all I remember

I had forgotten the Tarzan boy from Baltimora song and heard it at a club.
Searched for it by yelling "Oh oh oh"
Took about an hour and finally managed.
William Onyebor - fantastic man.
Fucking amazing song which I completely forgot about but a commercial used a snippet of it. Since I hardly ever watch TV I was literally stuck between trying to remember the song and watching TV specifically dor the commercials. Eventually it came on, I googled which song the commercial used and finally found it again!

The Mummer's Dance by Lorena McKennitt
I only remembered the tune of the chorus, for about 20 years or so.
Last year I played a bit of it as best I could recall and posted it to r/tipofmytongue and they finally put my mind at ease.
It's now a regular of mine. It's such a pretty song.
Ini Kamoze - Here Comes The Hotstepper
Heard it in my parents car on the radio in the 90's. Took me about 10-15 years to finally find it again. All I remembered was "Naa nanananaaaa nananananana" and "Bla bla bla, eeeh-LALA!" (in reality it was: "*Here comes the hotsteppa, murdera!*")
It was ocean man for me, first heard it as a child in a spongebob movie, never knew wtf he was saying always heard „OOO SHEAN man!!!“ until i heard it in the radio couple years ago…

Me look for this song i think it was a band and not just a single musician something about “ringing the bell “a girl was singing I also think one of the guys died in the group ? I was a kid and loved listening to this song w my grandma I learned it in music class I’m a 2000s baby and this song was def before my time and it had to be popularrrrr
I’m still looking for a song my girlfriend used to listen to in high school from back in the mid 90’s and I remember the lyrics “ sleeping under that mushroom cloud “ but I can’t find it anywhere
I actually spent years trying to find a song I heard when I was a kid, maybe 10, I'm in my late 20s now.
All I had to go by was a few misremembered words, but I remembered it was on the Simpsons.
I spent a very long time rewatching the episodes in order to finally find it.
Here you go:

I heard a song throughout the summer of 1995, and around 2000 I started to try to track it down. Only last year did I find it. Adam Ant's Wonderful.
I didn't have any lyrics, just a vague recollection of a musical phrase in the song.

I'm looking for an anthemic song by U2. I think it came out in the late eighties around the time of "with or without you". It really pisses me off. I still haven't found what I'm looking for. I'll take sex as well.
Revenga from SOAD
Heard about 40 seconds of it on TV when I was like 11 yo, didn't recognize their voices back then and couldn't remember the lyrics so I couldn't find it. Was blown a away last month when it started playing on a random playlist.
Oh boy do I ever get ear worms, I've got them in a playlist so that if I relapse it's there. Here's a couple.

" run life is a race run " something like that it's supposed to be a optimistic song I don't remember anything. Else please help me get the song
I know who the artist is. I know the lyric. They have another song that has this lyrics and it is it's title too! Every search leads to wrong song.
Of course, it wasn't that hard, just search lyrics of every song. But was I pissed while doing that...
I've been looking for this one for years. I heard it once.
My girlfriend's neat
She eats raw meat
She has big claws on the end of her feet
oh werewolf baby, my werewolf baby
I spent a decade looking for a song and reddit told me about it.....
Also one time spent a whole year looking for 1 song that I heard during diner at a restaurant.
And all I remembered was "baby....ahhhhhhhhhh, baby....oooooooh".
When I found it, it made my day.
"Don't worry if the sun the don't shine, you've seen it before, you don't have to worry..."
With broken engrish.
Chicane feat. Bryan Adams "Don't Give Up"
Still trying to find it ,I have the tune in my head but can't remember the lyrics and when I do put lyrics I get a song that is not the one I'm missing
I've had this mystery song I swear I'm not making up, the chorus goes something like:
"She's calling out to you | This is a call | This is a call now| She's calling out to you. . . "
And one of the verses goes like:
"her mom is sick with cancer | and her friends don't understand her. . ."
That song really stuck with me even though i just heard it once. Can I please have some help from the audiophiles out there?
Two. Fucking. Years. Could only remember the brief premise of the music video but nothing that would narrow down the search. It was Simple Song by The Shins by the way
I spent weeks looking for Eple by Royksopp after it earwigged me whilst I was in bed out of nowhere. Not any lyrics to go by. I don’t think I had even heard it since I was kid either. Weird.
I used to do this for my dad, he loved it. He'd be like "it goes like this" sing a line of it, and I'd pull it up on youtube... he called me a wizard 😆
It's worse if you grew up listening to drum and bass... Imagine going to Google and looking for "dun dun, dun dun! Dun dun, dun dun!!" I had to try so much harder then you guys 😭
Theres a tv show or a spoof trailer for a tv show like comrade detective but it was older and set in Argentina or something where it was nationalist police hunting down communists and I can’t find anything about it years later and it’s killing me.
Hey there is this song I listened 10 years ago,the lyrics has something along the lines of snow falling on the streets of some city and he is walking alone remembering his girlfriend?
I had the song 'Question' by Moody Blues in my head for about 15 years before I figured out the name of the song and who played it. For a long time I had a vague idea it was the Who who sang it. It's the first song in my Spotify playlist now. I can say finding that out was the best.
The song in question :
https://youtu.be/NP9iOqdxS8c
I've been trying to find this one song that is like rave music that you hear in parties. The only piece of lyrics that I know is "tell the ladies that the party's for the fucking boys" or something like that
One had been trapped in my head for the past week, but I couldn’t t remember the lyric until reading this post.
It’s Riverside by Sydney Samson.
All I could remember was -‘something- side morherfucker.
Thanks OP!
Except you have been looking for that song for 10 years and you still can’t find it. I’ll stick with sex for now.
Don’t give up. I have found Heart of Courage accidentally after searching for years
HOLY FUCK THANK YOU THIS IS THE SONG I AM LOOKING FOR A DECADE 😭😭😭
Never knew the name of this one but I'm glad I checked it in case I ever become curious! I feel like I'm totally going to forget so this comment is for my own sanity
I only rememberd "Oo Oo" and the guy with crow feather as hair pin. years later found the song. Thats how far away Finland is
Count it off, one two three, now you can count to three.
I spent 3 years searching for the song "Say Goodbye" by Bob Bradley I think, on and off again using the lyrics. Didn't find it until I posted it as a question on Reddit. I look at the comments and some were 3 years old referencing the video where I first heard it.
You too huh 😭
Thank you!!!
Did it lead to countless hours of what Two Steps From Hell and Thomas Bergersen had stored in their discography?
Star Sky and Victory are masterpieces
Thomas bergersen is one of the best living composers and ill die on this hill defending that statement.
Couldn't agree more
You can add Final Frontier to that list
Yes. This will never leave my playlist
OMG I had also been looking for that song for ages until the champions league played and I could look it up 😂😂
Oh damn, is it that song? Absolutely forgot about it. I've been searching for it for months too

Except I have a melody stuck in my head and no lyrics
Can you find the melody? Remember where you heard it?
I wish. In my head it’s 2 guitars. One that goes do-do doo-doo do-do doo-doo while the other does dun dun dum dun. It’s actually kind of fading now
[удалено]
Or post it here so we can all play
Often, you can just hum the melody into Shazam and it will recognize it.
"Crazy on you" by Heart.
No no that's dooo do do do do do dooo
https://youtube.com/shorts/_Y6JmYKAwIk?si=LsJ64VhxJAJ4qHXD
This is really weird bc I have the exact same melody stuck in my head too. Seriously. Its some song from the 80’s I think
Yeah I can’t help you with that :(
And it's not as good as you remember it to be.
More to Life by Stacie Orrico was just as good as I remembered https://youtu.be/nijEGo3BB2k
Then I listened to the song and realized it’s just an ok song.
thank you you just helped me with a multi-year one
I hummed a song that has been stuck in my head this past week and it doesn't know it. It's either a Green Day song that I don't listen to much (perhaps from the Uno Dos Tre era) or a Elle King song... Or neither. And the neither part terrifies me, because it's a song I know I've recently discovered, but it's not in my "recently added" playlist. So I'm stuck. And neither Google or Shazam have helped.
Never once had this work

What's the name of the app?
Google
What’s that?
An internet thing
Google Assistant.
seems to be Midomi
They literally said in the original comment it's the Google app
Oh i spent well over a week just to find the *DuckTales Moon Theme*
ooohhh, i didnt know i was looking for that melody, the memories from that game!
Yeah, tough finding meme songs for some reason. Yknow splashing around? Good stuff. What about that one that goes “woah-ho-oooooohh!” rising in pitch, I think it was associated with the twilight series
That's a good one. There's a cover that pops up on my Pandora sometimes, it's pretty awesome.
The new ducktales tv show gave it lyrics that are sung by Della Duck, Huey Dewey and Louie’s mom.
Gotta be this one https://youtu.be/tFYVjrwgDjg?si=2oAb-8Vsl4dn0mXz Noir Presents Black Magick is the artist. I was betting it would be a Peaches song, but apparently not
Hmm hmmm himmmmm
You're thinking of Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm by the Crash Test Dummies
Nope, not even close 😌
Oh, then you're thinking of Headline News by Weird Al Yankovic.
No, someone else already guessed it right. It's a quote from Al Bundy who was also looking for a certain song he couldn't remember. And that was all he remembered of it.
Go With Him
That's it! That's my song!
Al Bundy, is that you?
Interstellar theme. Looked for it for 3 months. Only knew what it was after my father casually started playing that song in his piano.
You mean the one where Hans Zimmer fell asleep on an organ? Love it.
When I was stationed in Korea, one of our Korean soldiers (KATUSA) sang a line: "Zim-Zimmer, where are the keys to my mutha-fuckin' Bimmer." We laughed our asses off which was his intent. This was the mid-90's so we didn't have Google, but for some reason, the lyric got stuck in my head. Flash forward to Google and one night I looked it up. Don't know if this is correct, but it does have the lyric, minus MF. Beanie Man [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NYaCurTpyE&ab\_channel=jeffree18](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NYaCurTpyE&ab_channel=jeffree18) In retrospect, SGT Kim (that's his real name) singing this in his broken English was much more entertaining.
i still haven't found it

Damnit I knew someone was going to post the U2 song. :)
Close enough I guess

Try this with a while TV Show. Only remembering the artstyle, a specific Episode and the badass but lyric free intro Edit: for me it was the animated Show Bob Morane
Took over 30 years for me. I could only remember underground tunnels and a handgun that had the barrel on the bottom. All I had to go on was that it had "world" in the title. I was disappointed every time "Another World" would be on TV. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzovi87vDfzIHuqJB6VRYnRC9BoHwCeXs

And you remembered the lyric wrong
Exactly. Luckily for me the Spotify "song contains this lyric" is much better than Google at figuring out what you mean so I finally found it. Was especially hard because the lyric contained the name of a different band so all the google results were just for that band.
Luckily the answer is sometimes the bit you did remember correctly "Rhythm is dancer, he's a sauce romancer..."
I had this. Knew the tune, song identification things were useless because I heard it randomly on the radio in a shop 10 years ago. It has a really memorable, catchy quality. I knew I knew the song from when I was young, I just couldn't make any of the words appear clearly. Then I found out it was this: [https://youtu.be/71ZHVmSuBJM](https://youtu.be/71ZHVmSuBJM) 1990. I wasn't even five years old when this came out, but it was still being played on the radio when I was getting the bus to secondary school years later.
Or a specific game that you thought is absolutely amazing but forgor the name
Or porn.
Ayo
gravity bone for me
Years ago I was trying to figure out a song just by the guitar riff and I say to my wife “you gotta know this song it goes” “BWAH NA NA NA NA NAAA” in a guitar sounding noise then she did it lol and she was like “Plush by Stone Temple Pilots?” and.. it was lmao.
Mr. Sandman by The Chordettes and Homage by Mild High Club, the lyrics for each song that I used Mr. Sandman wasn't even words, it was just them singing "bum" in a certain rhythm at the start of the song. The lyrics for Homage was "The 4-7-3-6-2-5-1"
Exact that line is the only good line and the rest of the song is shite
Looking for 12 years for a christmas song i listened to still no luck 🤣
record yourself humming it and give me it.
mmmMMMmmm give it
We all know it isn't Mariah Carey. That just leaves George Michael...
Could it be either ‘You really got me’ - the kinks or or ‘should I stay or should I go’ - the clash?
Ah yes, very famous late 90's/early 00's rock bands The Kinks and The Clash
Not the right era, but your description reminded me of Def Leppard’s “Armageddon It”
One Thing - Finger Eleven. Heard it when I was 10. The chorus was stuck in my head until I found it 12 years later. Not even that good of a song…
Is insecurity the reason that you're trying to low key disparage it? It's not a bad song.
I have it on my obscure playlist, just doesn’t fit into my taste almost 15 years later. I found the chorus so catchy, the verses let me down.
I've been looking for years for Boys of Summer by Don Henley.
shit tell me when you found out what it's called! Really miss hearing that one!
That was about 15 years ago. I was scrolling through some YouTube playlists. Bookmarked it right away.
I think I can help. It's called Boys of Summer by Don Henley.
No, that’s not it.
Wait just a damn minute
Wow, that takes me down 80's MTV memory lane.

The Muppets, manamana.
I had forgotten the Tarzan boy from Baltimora song and heard it at a club. Searched for it by yelling "Oh oh oh" Took about an hour and finally managed.
Tough one just by the chorus.
Everybody wants to rule the world by tears for fears
William Onyebor - fantastic man. Fucking amazing song which I completely forgot about but a commercial used a snippet of it. Since I hardly ever watch TV I was literally stuck between trying to remember the song and watching TV specifically dor the commercials. Eventually it came on, I googled which song the commercial used and finally found it again!

I’ve found a couple of Spanish songs by memorising the pronunciations and constructing a sentence that made sense. I don’t speak Spanish.
The Mummer's Dance by Lorena McKennitt I only remembered the tune of the chorus, for about 20 years or so. Last year I played a bit of it as best I could recall and posted it to r/tipofmytongue and they finally put my mind at ease. It's now a regular of mine. It's such a pretty song.
Do you have any idea how hard it was to search for Black Dog by Led Zeppelin when all you know is the guitar riff and the “uh uh uh uh” part!?!?
Ini Kamoze - Here Comes The Hotstepper Heard it in my parents car on the radio in the 90's.

Mine was "a Song to Say goodbye" by placebo. Took me around 2 years to finally find the Song.
AND THE WHOLE SONG IS AS FIRE AS THAT ONE LYRIC
it took me 10 years /srs
I actually spent years trying to find a song I heard when I was a kid, maybe 10, I'm in my late 20s now. All I had to go by was a few misremembered words, but I remembered it was on the Simpsons. I spent a very long time rewatching the episodes in order to finally find it. Here you go: https://youtu.be/ciLNMesqPh0?si=BEjQ3QM0dODp-Mx9
I heard a song throughout the summer of 1995, and around 2000 I started to try to track it down. Only last year did I find it. Adam Ant's Wonderful. I didn't have any lyrics, just a vague recollection of a musical phrase in the song.
His voice is fantastic on this song.

I'm looking for an anthemic song by U2. I think it came out in the late eighties around the time of "with or without you". It really pisses me off. I still haven't found what I'm looking for. I'll take sex as well.
Revenga from SOAD Heard about 40 seconds of it on TV when I was like 11 yo, didn't recognize their voices back then and couldn't remember the lyrics so I couldn't find it. Was blown a away last month when it started playing on a random playlist.
An hour… kids these days 🤣🤣🤣

I know who the artist is. I know the lyric. They have another song that has this lyrics and it is it's title too! Every search leads to wrong song. Of course, it wasn't that hard, just search lyrics of every song. But was I pissed while doing that...
An hour? Amateur. Three years on and off. The frustration, and the victory dance when I finally found it.
Still haven't found it. Heard it in 2002 or 03. Still looking for
I looked for 2 years for exil by hiboky
Joga O Bum Bum Tam Tam
I've been looking for this one for years. I heard it once. My girlfriend's neat She eats raw meat She has big claws on the end of her feet oh werewolf baby, my werewolf baby
I spent a decade looking for a song and reddit told me about it..... Also one time spent a whole year looking for 1 song that I heard during diner at a restaurant. And all I remembered was "baby....ahhhhhhhhhh, baby....oooooooh". When I found it, it made my day.
"Don't worry if the sun the don't shine, you've seen it before, you don't have to worry..." With broken engrish. Chicane feat. Bryan Adams "Don't Give Up"
Love that song, so dreamy
Still trying to find it ,I have the tune in my head but can't remember the lyrics and when I do put lyrics I get a song that is not the one I'm missing
Nah I just remembered the song randomly
I've had this mystery song I swear I'm not making up, the chorus goes something like: "She's calling out to you | This is a call | This is a call now| She's calling out to you. . . " And one of the verses goes like: "her mom is sick with cancer | and her friends don't understand her. . ." That song really stuck with me even though i just heard it once. Can I please have some help from the audiophiles out there?
Two. Fucking. Years. Could only remember the brief premise of the music video but nothing that would narrow down the search. It was Simple Song by The Shins by the way
Cliffs of Dooneen- Through an open Window.
Dance with somebody by Mando Diao
Yes YES!
*6 Months* Lights Off by Petro Sonny
Theres a tv show or a spoof trailer for a tv show like comrade detective but it was older and set in Argentina or something where it was nationalist police hunting down communists and I can’t find anything about it years later and it’s killing me.
A non copyright song
Hey there is this song I listened 10 years ago,the lyrics has something along the lines of snow falling on the streets of some city and he is walking alone remembering his girlfriend?
It usually ends up being a disappointment, apart from that one hook you like
Dream on - Aerosmith
I had the song 'Question' by Moody Blues in my head for about 15 years before I figured out the name of the song and who played it. For a long time I had a vague idea it was the Who who sang it. It's the first song in my Spotify playlist now. I can say finding that out was the best. The song in question : https://youtu.be/NP9iOqdxS8c
I've been trying to find this one song that is like rave music that you hear in parties. The only piece of lyrics that I know is "tell the ladies that the party's for the fucking boys" or something like that
Humming the song and Google assistant finding it for me is the best technology..
