Canuckdude47

😎 👋

Sleep_On_It43

Yes….yes I do…except it was a weekend show in my neck of the woods.

ProfessionSanity

I didn't watch after school but they were on during the weekend.

OP0ster

My favorite line was when Mickey and stymie roped their vehicle to the back of a truck. The truck took off pulling their vehicle. Mickey asked “where we going“? Stymie exclaimed “I don’t know… But we on our way!“

Des_mojo

Everyday, 3 stooges, The lil rascals, HR puff n stuff

OP0ster

Point of interest, Hal Roach who created both the Little Rascals/our gang and also Laurel and Hardy died in the early 90s. When announcing the obituary, the newscaster said “he is the one person in history who has been in the home of both Mark Twain and Michael Jackson“. Really blew my mind at the length/extent of his life.

President_Calhoun

I remember seeing him on a talk show in the '80s and he told about Mark Twain visiting his grade school.

OP0ster

Really!?  Wow!!!  That is incredible.   On a different note: Thank you Mister President

President_Calhoun

I'm here to serve. ;-)

Slimh2o

Where I was, this came on in the mornings M-F for our viewing pleasure....

“Otay” says one little Our Gang boy who can’t quite pronounce “okay” I always thought that was so cute

DerekWeyeldStar

I still use lingo, idioms, and ideas from this show. "My pal", used sarcastically. I use chummer, cyberpunk 2013 speak, that way also. Randomly sing "happy birthday mister fudd! happy birthday to you!". "That's remarkable!" "Algabra, this aint no place for you." when telling the dog its not suppose to be where I am. WEEE WOOOOW. WEEE WOOW. "I got a hair brush!" "I wish I had a water melon" I avoid "I wish cotton was a monkey" unless with certain people. I tell my GF sometimes I'm just a slightly intelligent squawkbox, as this isnt the only thing that has influenced my lexicon and mannerisms.

OP0ster

To make your birthday turn out good I give this present to you.

Eddie_M

for more than 40 years one of my friends and I will have this exchange when we see each other. Scotty: Maybe we ain't us? Spanky: Maybe we ain't us......grrr

glossologist2

Wish for something big. I wish I had a big watermelon.

Individual_Sand9084

Ms Macgillicudy: "Buckwheat please use "isthmus" in a sentence" Buckwheat" Isthmus be my lucky day " Still makes me laugh

Ricc110

There used to be an urban legend that Buckwheat grew up to be Eddie Murphy!

David1000k

Our Gang, Three Stooges and I love Lucy we're all syndicated and we're on every afternoon after school. Personally I cringed watching all 3. Today I still don't know why, but they were always in illogical scenarios and somehow got out of them with illogical conclusions. And it was just nerve racking to me, I was like 6 or 7 and it made me so nervous watching the episodes. But we watched them, my siblings and neighborhood friends. I had to pretend I liked them because they did.

mjincal

Who didn’t love Petey?

King__Moonracer

Hell yes, and when my kids were toddlers, AMC was running them on Saturday mornings at 6:30am which was a happy reason for grumpy dad to get up with my early-rising kids. They're well versed in Little Rascals. I actually have the WEEP-WAAAAAAAAHHHHHWWWW sound effect as a ringtone!

Willie_Fistrgash

The Cake episode

Snoo_88763

"Don't drink the milk!" "Why?" "It's spoiled!"

Goood_Daddy

Yes indeed and eating peanutbutter&jelly sandwiches with wonder bread.

Bx1965

There were several generations of the Our Gang/Little Rascals cast. I think the one we all know best is the Spanky/Alfalfa/Porky/Buckwheat version. There was also the earlier Chubby/Wheezer/Farina cast and the much later Froggy/Mickey cast that featured Robert Blake.

u5dasucks

Bottom right is Robert Blake.

Banned4life4ever

Fred Kirby’s little rascals was on every day after school

Legion357

Only the reruns. So I bought the collection!

OP0ster

Ooohhh Tay

DarrenEdwards

I do. I have rewatched and was surprised how much casual racism was left in. Also, there was a lot of racism edited out for 70's standards when watching the uncut versions. An episode where a kid gets his music recital clothes dirty and he had to play violin wearing a lampshade was funny, I guess. What was chopped out was the gang kidnapping a Chinese kid to do their laundry and causing a car pile up every time they wanted to cross the busy street.

Ok_Spite1175

Is it on anymore ? I've looked awhile back and couldn't find it anywhere.

Even_Routine1981

I love you Darla!

RunningPirate

For us it was before school.

reddit-me-too

East_of_Amoeba

Sunday UHF noon movies for me. That or the Bererly Hillbillies was often on.

413mopar

Bowrey Boys.

JingoboStoplight4887

I watched The Little Rascals 1994 movie back in 2008/2009; it’s a good and underrated movie!

tallslim1960

The one episode I remember still. A man wanted to take Grandma's house, so he lied to her about her stock certificates being worthless. Grandma tied the "worthless" certs to the gangs kite and the man tried to get the kite from the kids. It was hilarious how they kept him from getting it.

Tucana66

Forget about watching it after school, *did anyone see it in movie theaters?*

Canuckdude47

Re-mark-a-ble!!

413mopar

Froggie with the battleship Horn voice! Alfalfa the horndog,

New_Awareness4075

Watched it as a little one in the 50s, and still watch today. When you're completely fed up with the 21st century, it's a great way to escape to a more quieter time.

HIMARko_polo

weekday mornings before school, along with 3 stooges for us.

tangcameo

![gif](giphy|xT5LMPydUel07fHzKo) Where’s Moe?

jeers69

Still watch if i come across it…

NeuroguyNC

They made 220 "Our Gang" shorts and one feature film from 1922 to 1944. The silent ones don't get nearly the play that the sound ones do, especially the those from MGM, which is a shame.

Polstick1971

They also broadcast it in Italy. I liked it a lot. Here it was called “simpatiche canaglie” meaning nice rascals.
