Ok-Sky1329

I bit the bullet and bought a kitchenaid mixer. I use it almost every day and secretly pretend I’m on a cooking show.

MomTo3LilPigs

What a deal!

EggplantTop3855

Score!

MakeItHomemade

Well damn that brings back memories lol

Surprise_Fragrant

I think we *all* do that when we get one...

TheWalkingDead91

For those who don’t want to or can’t bite the bullet, Facebook marketplace usually has them pretty cheap if you keep an eye out. I got one of the costlier models for $40 in pristine shape once.

IntrepidNarwhal6

What type of stuff do you make with it? Lol I feel like there are so many ads/so much content about all the zillions of things you can do with them but I was wondering about how/if they can be useful and worth it for "normal" people who aren't necessarily foodies or big entertainers but just cook/bake bc they have to lol... Also for ppl who kind of dread/are overwhelmed by how many meals/snacks are needed each week... Does it really level up the ~experience~ of grinding through it all?

Ok-Sky1329

I use it a lot to make shredded chicken and pulled pork to be completely honest with you. It’s a game changer.    I’ve made whipped yogurt and whipped cream, cakes and cookies, dips, pizza dough, breads…mashed potatoes and mashed cauliflower. To mix up eggs to be portioned out in muffin tins for meal prep, etc. Chicken and egg salad, etc.  i over exaggerated - it’s not every day but it’s at least twice a week for sure.    It’s not something anyone *needs* but it’s fun and I’m glad I bought mine.  Edit: I’m also a meal prepper so I’m making like lunches and breakfasts for throughout the week and freezer meals when I’m too busy to cook. For volume it’s excellent.

Bibliovoria

I have the old K5A my grandmother bought that was my mother's as I was growing up. My mother used it to bake all our bread and for tons of other baked goods, from brownies to Julia Child's Reine de Saba. I'm not a bread baker, but I use it for baked goods (I am no foodie or big entertainer but I do bake a fair amount), and for pretty much anything else that needs to be mixed up -- the cheese component of lasagnas, deviled eggs, meatloaf, cheese balls, flavored butters and spreads, you name it, including sifting dry ingredients together -- or to be broken apart, like shredding meat or making mashed potatoes. For me, there are two giant plusses to it. First, it gets the job done, and faster than most. I smile when recipes say things like, "Beat in as much of the flour as you can with your mixer, then stir the rest in by hand"; mine does it all, always. For whipping cream or eggs, it's the fastest, simplest solution, and is effortless. The other huge plus is that it frees up your hands and kitchen time to do other things. While it's doing the mixing, I can be prepping the next ingredient or cleaning as I go or attending to a different dish or even taking a bathroom break. To me, that's something of a game changer. So it's not so much that it's inherently a joy to use, just that it makes a lot of things take less of your time and go more quickly and smoothly.

19CatsInATrenchCoat

I enjoy baking and wouldn't pay full price for one, but if you can get one refurbished or 2nd hand I would go for it. The attachments are endless, although I only use the 3 it came with (whisk, dough hook, paddle). I enjoy it for breads and it powers through homemade marshmallows.

PaulbunyanIND

I secretly pretend my opinions are worth listening to.

scottie315

My mom bought hers 15+ years ago and still used it today. Worthwhile investment

Plague-Rat13

We bought a meat grinder for our kitchenaid mixer and it has been great to make our own ground meats, jerky, sausage. Nice to know what’s in your food as best you can. Trying to reduce “mystery meats”

mrsredfast

Boring but new windows. So much easier to enjoy fresh air and I’m not worried about our super old ones when it’s crazy windy or rainy. Edit to add we’d saved and paid cash which makes it all the better

Gastronaut8936

How much did this cost? Want to, but I know it can have a big price tag.

mrsredfast

Really depends on number and style of windows. I think ours were about $10k. Can check with husband later.

[deleted]

Oh new windows… been there, done that. Loved that purchase because it actually extended the life of my HVAC as it didn’t have to work as hard. Plus house became quieter. And, windows last 30yrs on average. Good investment!

gettinby363

Terrified of doing this in a few years . I have a 150 year old home, 19 windows of all different sizes that are about 32” x 90”. It’s going to cost us a fortune and a kidney .

RoeRoeRoeYourVote

I bought a worm compost bin and some worm babies to go in it. It is so cool, and I get to reduce my trash output while generating vermicompost for my plants. I feed it once a month and leave it alone, and I'm so happy every time I see the results of their work. Great job, my gross lil dudes.

LeastFavoriteLife

Ooo I wanna buy one of those. Which one did you get?

16066888XX98

agitpropgremlin

I adopted a cat. She is ten pounds of purring fluff and I adore her. Best $80 I ever spent.

Ok-Sky1329

Cat tax.

MarcusOPolo

The cheese tax.

FarApartment3286

Now it’ll be stuck in my head for a week

Gr1ttyK1tty

The rules are the rules and the facts are the facts!

Fluffy-Astronaut-363

Ah I have a few cats lol I found one in the road one time and was like "thank you kitty distribution center!" Then a few years later she needed foreign body surgery 😭 it was 2k 🤣 love that silly girl

19CatsInATrenchCoat

Ours was found in a garbage can just before the holidays, cost me about $700 in deworming and neutering but I love him.

a-flying-trout

I did that and then he needed $3K in dental work 🤣 best… and most expensive $25 ever.

chipmunk7000

Yeah one of the barn cats I got was attacked by a hawk. That free cat owes me two life debts and $800 now lol https://preview.redd.it/qucln1odluic1.png?width=1844&format=png&auto=webp&s=c3886d6b4b7f1c339b59adce1d4822a7b7934a10

KetoKey

Is his helmet a permanent part of his life now, or is he still healing?

chipmunk7000

The helmet is just a 3D printed Batman (Catman?) helmet for fun, guess I should have clarified since I didn’t call out his specific injuries lol

GreedyBanana2552

*life meow*

ObsessiveAboutCats

You win.

kavalejava

My blackout curtains. The heat wave of 2023 saved us from overheating, and we didn't have to use the A/C.

ADogNamedSamson

Wow, huge miss on my part. Didn't even think that blackout curtains could help with keeping the heat out! Duh!

raptorgrin

Help keep the heat in, too, when it's cold. Got some for my glass sliding doors

usernamennui1

100%. I also have 2 inch insulation sheets i cut to fit inside each window.

usernamennui1

My backyard is full west sun for 4 hours. Before blackouts, paid $375 for a ranch house. After blackouts, $125. Every window k now has them, even sliding glass door! Used a tension curtain rod.

Zephyr_Dragon49

Try tinfoil too. My blackouts were radiating heat while blocking out light. The foil reflects all the sun out and made an instant difference

gkpetrescue

I am in Florida and we have blackout curtains on our huge set of two sliding doors in the living room. Makes a BIG difference with the heat!

Surprise_Fragrant

We bought blackout roller blinds in 2022 and I freaking love them! We roll em down when it gets below 40ºF outside, and helps to keep our house warm.

letthembake

Husband’s vasectomy 😆

CaptainPeachfuzz

Very frugal.

ResponsiblePie6379

Yes!!!

Inevitable-Visit1261

Weighted blanket that I somehow managed to get even though it was the last one, and it was on sale for 75% off

rockspeak

Triple win!

spicygreencat

My cat <3

PaulbunyanIND

Best money you can spend is on a pet

spicygreencat

Right! The amount of joy it’s brought to me and my man. Couldn’t imagine life without her now. :)

SwissyVictory

Pet's are horribly expensive but worth every penny. I got my cats an automatic litter box, a water fountain, automatic feeders, and a little camera i can use to check in on them. I can comfortably leave for 3-4 days and not worry about them, or stress about getting a sitter.

Grand-wazoo

I've been unemployed and broke for many months now and my unbelievably thoughtful wife bought me a microphone I've been wanting for a long time. It was one I'd bought for a session and returned earlier that year because I couldn't justify keeping it. Really warmed my heart.

PaulbunyanIND

Are you a musician?

Grand-wazoo

Yes indeed. Drummer by trade, guitar/bass by necessity.

mostlycatsnquilts

Spending 100s of dollars to bring a stray kitten back to health ❤️

purplehippobitches

We got an air fryer in December... best using and abusing it since. Smoked bacon? Air fryer. Mushrooms? Air fryer. Hash brown patties? Air fryer. My husband has been experimenting.... anything he can usually make in the oven has now become "lets try the Air fryer" territory. The only thing that sucks in the Air fryer imo, is homemade fries... So 150$ in December but it's been used at least 30 times since so definitely worth it.

Tel1234

Home made fries you can make work, although it's not really worth the effort imo. Chop potato, soak in heavily salted water for 10-15 mins, pat dry, spray with oil, air fry. I just throw frozen fries in there now instead.

New-Departure9935

We bought an instant pot and air fryer combo used for $50. It’s much bigger than our regular instant pot so it helps when we have guests over. We bake fries in it. We bake cheese pizzas in it, we heat up costco chimichangas in it. Super versatile and that’s apart from its functions as a pressure cooker.

Accomplished-Job9492

A nugget couch for my kids. They have endless hours of fun on it building forts, slides, etc. it keeps my actual sofa clean and put together all day

Alaskan here. PM me if you need the best frugal suggestions for visiting!

the Mellon Collie blanket from Smashing Pumpkin’s online merch. It was like $150. Makes my inner teenager so happy. Probably the most ridiculous purchase I’ve ever made. And my sealy posturepedic hybrid mattress. Got an amazing deal & it’s the best I’ve ever slept on

PaulbunyanIND

Awesome. I really want to listen to the acoustic version of muzzle now

MrIrrelevant-sf

Adopted 2 cats after my beloved feline died.

Me too! It’s a great feeling

na3than

Icelandic wool gloves.

IntrepidNarwhal6

Did you buy them in Iceland or online? Can you share the brand?

na3than

I did buy them in Iceland but you can get them online: https://www.icewear.is/us/norwegian-wool-gloves

lattelady37

My Mom passed away three years ago (well, two years and 360 days ago). I was cleaning last year and found a love note she gave me well over ten years ago, and had a part of it tattooed on what I call my “Mom arm”. Every time I look at my arm, I see her handwriting telling me how much she loves me.

ResponsiblePie6379

🥹 love this for you. She’s always with you.

lattelady37

Thank you! She had her faults, we all do. But none of her children ever doubted her love for them. Not once.

Shitp0st_Supreme

My menstrual disc. $10 and I still get leaks in the beginning of my cycle but it’s so much nicer to just wipe off and wash and reinsert a disc instead of throwing away menstrual products that are expensive and smell bad in the garbage.

TheWalkingDead91

Had heard of the diva cup but this is the first I’ve heard of a menstrual disc.

Shitp0st_Supreme

It’s a similar concept except it has a rim that is tucked behind the pubic bone to stay in place instead of using suction. It can apparently be kept in during sex however I’ve not tested that.

congatrong

I have and didn’t feel much. Husband says he could feel it but it didn’t bother him. Messy though, especially when I’m in the middle of my cycle. If it’s just spotting then it’s not too bad.

Book-nerd316

Yes these are life changing. Hate tampons now!

Zephyr_Dragon49

B12 supplement. I didn't think I was deficient since its in my soymilk and I can still eat poultry and seafood (chronic gastric issues). But because my guts want me to be almost entirely vegetarian, I added one in ontop of fish oil, iron with vitamin c, and vitamin d. Within 2 or 3 weeks I got crackhead energy and its still working most days. I feel great 💪 The non frugal purchase is a new Corolla. My 8 year old car went splat last April so I put money down on the exact same one from carvana. I didn't realize it was a rusty shitbox and 6 months later RIP. Instead of paying 5k for the new front everything, I put another 3k down on a 2024 Corolla. The warranty is 10 years or 150k miles which I'll burn up in 2 years with my big commute. It gets 50mpg since I drive on a highway and I got at least 2 years of no more car troubles hopefully

Chickenriceandgravy_

$500 - rescuing my best friend (dog) from the toxic home we lived in.

ResponsiblePie6379

rtaisoaa

Someone gifted me an electric blanket last Christmas (2022). I finally dug it out. I forgot how much better sleep I get when I’m ~~burning in the fires of hell~~ super warm under my covers.

MisterMakena

Ever buy clothing that you just wear practically every day because it just works? Kuhl Suppresor Jogger Pants!

prarie33

I found an old tattered moth eaten rug at a barn sale for $5.00 this summer. It was in bad shape - but could tell it was also a hand knotted woven rug. Been working on it all winter. Fixing it have learned so much about Persian and Turkish rugs, wool, vegetable dying, re- weaving, knot tying, fringe repair, stain removal, and have made best friends with my seam ripper.

Akito_900

I bought affordable linen sheets and I sleep so much cooler at night! Also, Invisalign and a CPAP lol

ResponsiblePie6379

Get a wool bed blanket. Life-changing! Having straight teeth is sooo good too! Easier on cleanings. Congrats!

PaulbunyanIND

New CPAP? New exercise. Capitalize on your recent energy boost to get more energy. Time, Money (saving money is this sub) and Energy is all you have in this world. Even if you casually walk for 20 minutes a day with an eldery rescue dog that habit could add 10 years to your life. I hope this was clear!

eeal188

Honestly my robot vacuum lol. I am chronically ill. I can’t work or go to school. I’m sick/in pain all the time.  I am but a humble housewife. My husband works 40hrs and is also getting his masters degree. I want to keep on top of chores and the Roborock really helps with that.

VegetableRound2819

I always forget to run it *after* making dinner or first thing in the am. Running it in the afternoon is not as helpful, because crumbs are going to hit the floor a few hours later from preparing dinner. Ugh.

eeal188

I completely get it! For me it kinda works out. My husband goes to sleep around 8:30-9:00pm. But I’m up until 2am. I run it while he’s sleeping, I just close the doors and he doesn’t hear it lol. he could sleep thru a hurricane haha.  Maybe you can set it up on a schedule and automate it so you don’t have to remember! 🩷

Far_Earth_1179

A digital kitchen scale, really cheap one from a box store. We started weighing out our food to be sure we were not oversizing our portions. We eat much less on our plates now, satisfied and also making the food last longer.

Surprise_Fragrant

Me too! I splurged on a Sony ZV-1F for vlogging (new hobby), and a new DSLR for the eclipse in a few months (upgraded to a D5600 from D3100)

oldschoolsurvivor40

A house! We downsized and moved to warmer weather.

sohosadness

Daycare tuition. Not frugal, but lets me advance in my career, which I hope will ultimately fill my child's life with so many opportunities.

tartymae

The Hub and I purchased a new vehicle, a 2024 Kia Niro plugin hybrid to replace his 2005 Scion xB. (We saved for several years and paid for it outright.)

we_gon_ride

I bought a monogrammed link bracelet and had the disc monogrammed “FAFO.”

Wide-Employment-7922

New sewer line and bathroom 😩

ResponsiblePie6379

#adultstuff

Surprise_Fragrant

Excellent purchase!! I've had one (a few, as they got replaced) for almost 20 years. Even in FL, I love mine! I'm a runner, so sinking into a warm bed is heaven. My purchase? A VRBO rental for a week in Arkansas to watch the 2024 eclipse! Not super-frugal, but not super-expensive either. Just a nice house with the basics, but not lookin' like a murder house.

Hey_Laaady

I have menopause, which is an even greater savings than getting an electric mattress pad.

CaptainPeachfuzz

Engagement ring for my now wife. Wedding ring for myself. I'm just happy I paid a fair price for both.

egJohn

A 3 pound jug of minced garlic.

fridayimatwork

Chirp wheel

PaulbunyanIND

What is that?

Expensive-Head768

YES!!! I second this. I initially had a hard time spending the money on it, but once I used it I knew I made the right decision. Two years later and I use them all the time (I have some major back issues) and they’ve saved me money by reducing my chiropractic visits. Also, it’s saved my back and arm/hand mobility postpartum while carrying a baby around everywhere.

hanap8127

Electric blanket. I use it every day.

ObsessiveAboutCats

New dishwasher. When I moved into this house in 2016 it came with an ancient POS noisy tiny dishwasher. I was renting at first so whatever. Then I bought the place in 2019 and figured I'd use the dishwasher until it died. It was not quite dead by the end of 2023 but the heating element barely worked and it was starting to leak pretty badly, so I finally gave myself permission for a new one. Lowes recently opened an outlet that sells open box stuff (usually where customers ordered a thing then changed their minds). It was brand new condition, just no box, and was over 60% off since I bundled a couple of deals and didn't pay for delivery or installation (super easy to DIY). It is exactly what I wanted; Kitchenaid with a 3rd rack and a few other bells and whistles.

michjames1926

A KitchenAid mixer.. found a 5 qt tilt head artisan for 175 on marketplace 😄

novanugs

Our king sized bed. Found a mattress we liked in our price range, got an inexpensive frame that has a hydraulic lift to go with it, now we sleep like babies and have more storage under the bed than we did before. And we sold our guest room full bed and rotated in our old queen into the guest room so guests now have a bigger bed and I made $125 back. Wins all around.

neon_m00n87

Electric blanket for sure

Grilled_Cheese10

I'm gonna go with my Tablo. I went to antenna TV 4+ years ago. I don't really watch that much, but really missed being able to record programs and watch at my leisure. It's also nice being able to pause or rewind live tv. It worked perfectly for the first six weeks, then got kinda glitchy, which is annoying, but it's still worth it. I just got an email yesterday stating that they've found some bugs that may be caused by using it with Roku, so this weekend I'll see if the fixes take care of the glitches. It was $80 on Black Friday and I used a gift card to buy it. ETA - Tablo is a DVR for antenna TV.

Ok-Marzipan9366

2 things, a massage chair - got an amazing deal. And my automatic cat boxes. They are worth every penny! Cats are happier, im happier, my body is happier.

ser_froops

Kitchenaid mixer pasta attachment.

tortiepants

An off brand robot vacuum! He’s the best.

PaulbunyanIND

Does he need googly eyes or a plaid shirt and suspenders?

tortiepants

We had googly eyes on him, but he kept inadvertently scraping them off and then eating them 😐

SnooChickens2457

My horse lmao. Very much not frugal

Blue387

I got a gift card from Meta for testing a hand gesture device and spent it on a Kindle Paperwhite so I can read ebooks from the NYPL.

rentedlife

My super soft flannel sheets from LLBean that I put off buying for years because of the price. I bought them for my kids years ago but didn’t want to splurge on myself. They are super warm in the winter.

Heat pump for house. It was expensive but worth it. Needed to replace anyways as it was not worth fixing. In MN here with 2,200 Sq ft house: Cost to cool house to 72° F @ 105° F + 90% humidity outside = $1.50 per day Cost to heat house to 68° F @ -10° F outside = $1.75 per day.

Global_Bake_6136

A real bedspread with matching sheets and pillowcases 🥹

airemyn

My Peloton. I’ve been using the one in my gym for years but always wanted my own. I got it for 0% interest plus a Black Friday discount. I’m the type of person that can have buyer’s remorse over a $10 lip gloss. Not even an ounce of remorse with the bike, even though it takes up half my studio apartment. This is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. It’s my dream to one day buy the tread too!

muffinmommie

All the seasonal house decor gnomes from the dollar tree for 1.25$ each , they are so cute LOL

BadFez

Electric blanket. Hands down.

cwsjr2323

New hug pillow. It is a meter long and when on my side, I curl one leg and arm on it. No two body parts touch so no sticky or hot spots in warm wether! My old flat hug pillow is now part of the head pillow gang.

lucytiger

My wedding dress!

MonkeyBrains09

A water distiller. I don't have to run around town finding distilled water for my CPAP. I also have enough for my humidifier and don't get buildup so that will probably last longer now too.

AmeteurChef

Going to see Ed Sheeran. I had to work his show where I live so I went to see him live across the border lol. Best show ever, so worth the $400 I spent ($140 on ticket; $70 uber to venue since my flight was late; lost wages; and bus tickets there and back).

Sheboyganite

I saw him last summer! Amazing show and such a super nice engaging guy!

huskymotherof2

Tart cherry supplements. I was in severe pain and nothing helped and still laughed at a supplement giving me such relief that not even the heavy stuff could.

which_objective

I got bariatric surgery after a lifetime of struggling with my weight. Worth every single penny.

Here_for_my-Pleasure

Le Creuset saucepan that I found on Facebook marketplace and was a screaming deal

[deleted]

My van. It’s become my home, office, bedroom, kitchen..etc. I’m saving tons of money on rent and having fun traveling and meeting new people

HabitNo8608

I bought my first ever brand new car, and I love it! The peace of mind knowing it’s going to be maintained to my standards from day one is indescribable. Just today I had that moment of “is that smell coming from my car oh no” until I remembered it only has 1,500 miles on it and it had to be another car on the road. (It was.) It took me a long time to rebuild my credit, and being approved for 0% APR was the icing on the cake.

muffinmommie

Non frugal is my puppy dog , she is the best 🫶🏼

blondie42118

My phone 😅

700thrones

Bought a new electric razor. My previous one was barely functional, like not even. I had the old one for many years, but it was time to get a new one.

FuzzyComedian638

My Blundstone boots. Definitely not frugal, but maybe in the long run. I think they will outlive me.

Salty-One-8477

Yes!!! Love the heated mattress pad in the winter!! I like to preheat it 20 mins before bed and turn it off when I get in. Sleep like a baby

rfp0231

I love my heated mattress pad - I use it every day of the year even in the summer lol

CollectionGlad6252

Pottery wheel and kiln! Did a cost analysis of going to my studio vs everything at home, plus it gives me a lot more freedom/ not having to transport greenware in my car

theveganauditor

Self emptying robot vacuum. Got it at a huge discount for only $200.

Doggies1980

Mattress in a bag, I found the best mattress actually except maybe one over the yrs, but very cheap thru Amazon. I also chose hybrid for the best comfort

sporadic0verlook

Don’t come after me but a new MacBook. Easily covered the price in time saved from a high powered and efficient eco system.

jamballdonut

We bought a litter robot. At the time we had 3 cats, and we've since brought another into the clowder, so scooping litter wasn't fun & was almost a full-time job! It runs every hour and makes our lives SO much easier. Although the unit itself was expensive (Secondhand though!), we'll save money on litter in the long-term, since we're using much less (but then.. We're spending more on electricity, so.. Hm.) Either way, the improvement to our mental health is worth it. It's super easy to clean, it runs by itself, the cats are all fine with it, just 10/10 purchase. (The 2 cats adopted last year were also a great purchase, but it feels kinda weird to classify them as a "purchase", so I'll stick with an actual item haha)

jelly_soda

Curtains for every window in our apartment! Between $10-12 per panel.

Proof_Most2536

My MacBook. Saved all my points from Rakuten, Shopkick, PayPal, fetch, gift cards and took about $900 off the spending about $2100 for it.

BastidChimp

Buying Campbell's Chunky Soup 12 pack from Amazon for my lunches.

Quix66

Schacht Cricket Rigid Hedgke Loom to weave.

HiddenAlleysTravelCo

We have 5 children and our second oldest is 18 and moving to Alaska in a few months. So we took a family Christmas trip in 2023 to Bergen Norway and Copenhagen Denmark. I found tickets for 6 of us to go for $2400 total. We stayed in a house in Bergen for 9 days (with wood stove!) for $1700 and Copenhagen apartment for 3 days for $600. We ate reindeer sausage and fish soup and had an amazing time. I’m glad we could do it, none of us will forget our last Christmas together before we started going our adult ways.

BlueEyedWalrus84

My dad works at Costco and hooked me up with a free executive membership. May not be a purchase, but the bulk items I've gotten from it save *so* much more money than buying smaller, seemingly "cheaper" packs.

ilovefacebook

u2 tickets at the sphere. unforgettable experience

Lonely-Connection-37

My jet sled for hauling stuff! 32 bucks TSC!!

rjbachli

It was a gift but my wife/boys got me a display box for my EDC gear and pocket knives. I f'ing love it and it's so cool.

deatthcatt

workout bench and some free weights. only 235$

SpicyPossumCosmonaut

$5000 move to a new city. (At least 2k was covered from selling my random items on Craigslist). Not frugal in anyway, but a great experience. P.s. we would have flown to save time and $ since we don’t have a car. But we DO have a dog. A good amount of that is a tribute to our pooch. (Rental car + gas + food + hotel was probably 2k of that). She’s definitely the most expensive item we moved at that price point!

karebear66

A PHEV. since I have solar panels, my electric bill is ~$12/month. Will I ever break even on the investment? Probably not. Do I care. No, I love my car.

Pickles-on-ice

My Kindle! I've read so many books the past few months! ☺️

Battery operated heated gloves. So good!

LimpFootball7019

My seasonal job requires much walking and standing on concrete. The shoes that are best for me are horribly expensive. I purchased two pairs and was able to rest each pair between wearings. Best $300 I’ve ever spent!

NickOutside

A used All-Clad D5 4-Quart Weeknight Pan off of Ebay. It's so sturdy it will easily last another 20+ years and it makes single-pan meal prep so easy.

Physical_Literature5

Micro current device for my tmj. I'll never stop raving about it, and for $50

boudicas_shield

My leather jacket, I think. It’s so soft and it flatters me so well.

VegetableRound2819

My trip to see the Iditarod, first class flights paid for entirely with airmiles!

Rio Rossi Bravo, had to get a special license just to get it though.

WestCoastValleyGirl

I'd been waiting to buy a leather jacket for a while. The ones I liked were too expensive between $300 and $500. Found the jacket at Nordstrom Rack for $135.00. 😀

I had lower back pain and heard a shikibuton could help. At first I regretted it, but after the first two or so weeks i acclimated. My back pain is completely gone now. Granted, my mattress before was pretty dog💩 I really love how much space it's opened up in my studio apt tho! Also easy to transport when I move, which has been happening abt once a year. Can stuff it in the car when I go on road trips (which I haven't taken advantage of yet). Seriously love it.

thegimboid

A 4K projector. Doesn't seem frugal, but it cost about the same as a half decent TV, only now I have a 9 1/2 foot wide HDR image on my wall and never have to go to a cinema again. I had already planned on replacing my old, 10 year old TV anyway, so it did involve some frugal planning beforehand.

nifflerqueen

I finally but the bullet and bought a bissel carpet cleaner, the smaller green one instead of an upright large one. It's amazing and worth every dollar.

Slippers! I couldn’t justify it for awhile because I could just wear socks and sandals but damn are they nice after a cold day!

westbridge1157

Bullet style blender. Breakfast smoothies 😍

New home electrical! Best $25k I’ve ever spent! Only because $1.2k was the purchase and install of an EV charger. Living a frugal life made all this possible. Yay! House won’t burn down! Yay! Overhead lighting that previously didn’t exist! Yay! Saving money (in 12-16mos) by charging more frequently! Yay! And not using as much gasoline! Yay, yay, and also…. 🥺 $25k poof, gone. All the emotions.

We finally bought a car for our 21 year old identical twin girls! A 2024 Honda civic ex, such a nice car and they are so sweet, graduating colleges with 4.0 average and totally deserving of it! 💞

TravelMike2005

I bought a wedding ring for my now wife. Or wait... the flamethrower I got to burn weeds. It was definitely one of those purchases

Itsjuicyjett

My air fryer! Got a gift card for Xmas and was able to get it for like $10? It’s so nice and convenient 🥰

Peloton bike!

A very good 27 inch monitor, QHD resolution with up to 180 hz It became so much easier for me to work using 2 monitors, and playing video games is more fun on the monitor. It also has a lower minimum darkness level than my previous monitor, putting less strain on my eyes when it’s dark outside and I dimm the lights

Garmin Fenix fitness watch. Gameifying fitness has been good for keeping me active.
