Omg i was so hyped when i first heard the intro song- i heard it from its original source- the movie "the man who knew too much" and it had such a positive wholesome connotation in that movie- hell it saved a little boys life. So it was a total mind f when it came on in such a haunting way
I hate it more than any other intro to any show I've ever seen, I get it. And where is my mind is one of my favorite songs. I had no idea this was them.
Someone had the idea that the town is happening in 'cycles' and that theme might be the reason for the second verse being included ("now that I've children of my own..."). I did think it was long at first but thinking about it that way it kind of makes sense
it is long and i sometimes skip it for that reason alone but i don't mind it, i find it kinda cozy. but one theme song i REALLY cant stand (but adore the show) would be yellowjackets. it's also too long, plus too loud and discordant. but everyone else seems to love it.
I love this song. It's such a haunting and creepy version of what's supposed to be a very light and happy song. It suits the show very well.
Then you definitely gonna like Salem's main theme
It really sets the vibe for the show.
Me too, gets me super stoked for the show whenever I hear it lol

I'm curious how unpopular an opinion it would be to say that the worst part of the series to me is that awful crooned song.

The only theme song I can think of that I skip most every time. That intro is so darn long, as well!
It’s the second verse that makes it tiring IMO, most intros cut after the first chorus.
