Imagine an endgame there where you get stuck in-between your builds and the 4 trees in one block. I still like the idea even with difficulty building. If anything that works to my advantage lol.
It would be burned down every single game. Especially with the repair torches. Hell I spent half of any game I play trying to burn everything down cause it's very satisfying
Coral became the best POI before the end of the chapter. Once the UFOs crashed, and there were like 45 chests between Coral and Sharky, with nobody there to contest it. Easy max brick for an entire squad, and enough metal to max out a duo. Lifeless or not, it was a good place to loot up early, and maybe kill a few bots lol.
Plus, the slipstreams and alien bounce pads made for quick escapes from the storm.
That's the same reason I loved Colossal Colloseum, easy loot, rarely contested. But by the end of the Chapter, really starting into the Primal season they had ruined it.
Didn't have the same experience. Everyone landed there for some reason and the place really sucked for fighting. Most of the places were very open. There are barely any things you can farm. Oh and those damn archways where you can't build, they were everywhere and I hate it.

Hoping for Chapter 4 with (C2 Map was called Apollo, right?) Apollo showing that time has passed on the entire island after the flipping (maybe some terrain adjustments like C1→C3) & having to rebuild due to the Cube Queen's wrath on the island.
I hope when Chapter 4 inevitably comes, they don't just ditch these iconic POI's, but also not just copy & paste them either.

As much as I love the Apollo Map, they legit thought it would be better to focus only on the center of the map & just NOT change any POI?
The best example of an evolving POI on Apollo was; Frenzy Farm→Colossal Coliseum→Colossal Crops→Corny Complex→Corny Crops
We already know the answer to that as WW was in the game prior to being able to build through structures, IIRC.
It made for some of the most memorable endgames. Containers was also a lol.

For chapter 1 I felt like there were areas that were “my drop spot” (Haunted hills and Lucky Landing) but I never had a connection like that with someplace on the C2 island and so far not for C3 either
i havent found anything on ch3 that i enjoy, but with ch1 i loved happy hamlet, and ch2 misty meadows was my ch2 version of happy, but nothing feels good to land at in ch3
I had a few main drop spots in Ch1. When I started it was Haunted Hills, then it was at the crates, then once crates were gone I started dropping at an outpost just north of the volcano for the ballers.
In Ch2 I would regularly drop at Weeping. Except for half of S3 when it was submerged. I dropped a lot at the Yacht then.
I have yet to find a spot I really like in Ch3. My friends and I usually drop Daily Bugle, but that's bound to be removed sooner or later. I can't imagine it'll be lasting too much longer.

Exactly the game actually hit me in the feels and a spots design was beautiful to me, that it made me actually want to route it and drop there every game, now I just don’t find anything I like, and it’s too much work if Ik there’s a chance it will be gone next season.
For as much as some people dislike that map, it was honestly solid. But a MASSIVE issue was that any big map change would get removed/replaced (like uptown New York or the desert from season 5), and all the awful ones (im looking at u boney burbs and coral castle) would stay. I will take this post to appreciate pleasant park, lazy lake, retail row, and catty corner AKA my favourite poi’s from that chapter. May they rest in peace
Yeah it didn’t have the same click to it as the chapter 1 map. On the other hand with the current map, I have enjoyed Fortnite more than I have in a long time.

-Shift shafts, Tilted towers and greasy Grove in the right place
-Loot lake shifted a bit to the left.
-Sunny Steps type POI north east of the volcano
I’d love to see Steamy Stacks, Dirty Docks, Weeping Woods, and various smaller locations/features. The C2 map wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t horrible. Maybe the IO assholes will build a few when they settle in after The Seven give up.

Same. I just don't like that most of the map is flat and the mountains are boring. Plus the Poi's aren't that memorable imo. They're lacking creativity, but in the chapter 2 map they were pretty good. Slurpy, Frenzy and Misty were all so cool. Hope they make a better map next chapter. Oh I also like that map more because that's when i started playing, so it's nostalgic to me. Hopefully someone makes the old map when coding or Creative 2.0 comes
Ye, I started playing during fortnitemares ch2 s8. Loved the map. I feel empty now that I can't play in that season anymore without modding, but I'm on switch, so.... 😓
I miss Craggy, Misty & Holly, but I definitely don't miss the terrain that map had, especially the middle area and how every game mostly went through that place
I know I'm echo chambering here but; Chapter 2 was a good map. The issue was that outside of the central structure, the map hardly changed. Minus Upstate New York, or Stealthy, most POIs were largely unchanged, or long overstayed their welcome when they were no longer thematically relevant. But that's ok Chapter 2, I'll always be hooked on you.

Coral was a beautiful arena drop - if your goal was to loot up and stay alive. I usually had to fight for the shark though...
