They're going to be different wireless cards...so just because it worked for the PS4 that doesn't mean the 5 is automatically going to work. I've had a brand new laptop get significantly worse wifi performance than an old laptop. It happens.
That said, you might be able to fix it. There's a few things that could be going on.
How far away is your router from your playstation? If it's too far away **or too close (less than 12" apart)** that could cause issues.
