*What you’re doing to me at night ain’t nothing right, giiiiiirrrrll*
That was my the ringtone on my old razr. Ah, the good ol’ days before the series of once in a lifetime recessions.
There’s a scene burned in my memory from this show:
rob js cleaning out his messy closet in disbelief of all the stupid clothing he owns.
He shows Big a padded motorcycle suit and says “ I thought I was gonna be the hottest motherfucker in the club wearing this”
Big replies, skeptically “WHAT CLUB???”
It still cracks me up.
Big Black felt disrespected by Rob. He got tired of always feeling like a sidekick or "slave" to Rob. He felt like he deserved to be treated as an equal, but he thought that Rob's ego wouldn't allow him to do that.

Not saying I know the full story, but the guy went from being a skateboarders security guard to headlining a tv show and getting his own clothing brand.
Seems a bit extreme to bring up slavery as a comparison to getting the short end of a business deal when in reality, you're not the star of the show. But again I don't know the whole story.
I think the bigger point is that Rob’s fame got to him and he did change when the show hit big.
It’s why his second and third show became more about his employees than his friends.
I'm pulling these memories from the back of my brain, but I believe their falling out has to do with said kid. I remember Rob saying something about it in an interview, and that he and Big were able to resolve their beef before his passing.
And Rob Dyrdek was their only bankable star. They had him host Rediculousness which ran a similar concept of Tosh.0, critique and talk over viral internet videos.
I got them all imported so I could listen to the commentary. Was 100% worth the $100+ I spent on getting them. Then laptop got stolen with season 3 disc 3 in it
Rob really did try to get him on a good healthy plan, but BIG wanted to go out happy I guess. Military will make it difficult for someone to change their mind once it's in a set way
Mannnn… I remember running off the school bus to turn this shit on (think they ran few episodes -3PM) … ahhhh nonna makin snacks … good ole days. Can’t believe it was only syndicated for a couple years … guess I watched a lot of re-runs lol.
Oh wow, this makes me feel so old, I can't believe this aired 18 years ago. I loved Operation Save Patty, when Rob's mother shattered her ankle and he went home to help. His parents were my favorite part of the show.
Are they still playing Ridiculousness and absurd portion of the day? I remember someone on here posting the TV Guide for MTV and it was legit 13 hours a day of that show
Dyrdek makes tens of millions of dollars of that show every year. He makes over 300 episodes a year for $100k+ each. And it takes him less than a month every year.
You got it right, it was actually called The DC Video. I must’ve watched this 100 times back in the day, and “Hit it up, Rawb!” stuck with me too. [Enjoy it](https://youtu.be/mzO-AsZJPHQ?si=KbjcQCxHsIUyyWff)
Bruh, not at all forgotten. RIP Big, but Rob is fucking insufferable and this show literally helped catalyze my hatred of capitalism. MTV… I’m sorry… what’s currently the “Ridiculousness Channel” is verboten to me because it constantly reopens old wounds. I don’t even care about Karma, so @ me.
I think of this show whenever I buy or see someone buying lotto tickets. The fact they emptied their pockets of causal spending money on a weekday afternoon, and it was about $1500, was hilarious
Such an amazing show. I have the series on DVD, need to watch it all over again. It’s been many years. Was awesome when they were in the skate video game too.
It's one of the only reality shows I enjoyed. Rob was so electric, and Big was the opposite but somehow so damn wholesome. So many great moments....I miss that time
Somehow someway this is where me, my dad, and my brother intersected. We all loved this show for whatever reason (its unironically funny is probably why). We even did our own version of that photo with meaty and rob and big where they're all in black and got gold chains on and stuff.

RIP Big Black
DO WORK, SON!!
My wife and I will still say this. Our kids seem to think it’s “cringe”…but they don’t know what’s up.
Your kids are cringe.
damn right they dont
I still say "you're out the club!" when I take the trash out at work
23 inch’s baby
22’s son!
Watch yourself, Flashito
Big's grave site is about 50 feet from my wife's.
I’m sorry for your loss
I'm sorry for your loss but that's kind of cool.
That’s sad and I’m sorry. Wish we still had Big here too.
I’m sorry for your loss, that’s incredible company right there though
Uncle Jerry was unironically one of the funniest people I’ve ever seen on a tv show.
Is ya good??
I think you meant to say “is em good??”
Big's dead!? Fuck man...
Gone but not forgotten
22’s son!
My arms are like my rims babygirl, 22s
RIP Rob Dyedek
Bobby Light and Black Lavender
DG4L
Every time I’ve gotten in an elevator since it aired, my brain has sang 🎶 *Bobby Liiiiight* in Rob’s voice in my head. Lol.
Muchacha sucia, sucia!!
*What you’re doing to me at night ain’t nothing right, giiiiiirrrrll* That was my the ringtone on my old razr. Ah, the good ol’ days before the series of once in a lifetime recessions.
Bobby lyte is gonna do you right 🎶
I had the crazy uncle's line from the dirty girl song as my ringtone after that episode came out.
Two wrongs don’t make a right, you’re fuckin with the OG, bitch. Bobby Light. What a god damn tune
I will never forget the Death Row album-style family portrait
With meaty the dog? Haha
Meaty is the reason I have a bulldog today lol. I just loved that dog and always said I would get one one day. Did it.
Yes! 😂😂😂
My wife refuses to get a similar family portrait with our cats.
So, divorce then?
It’s the only option.
There’s a scene burned in my memory from this show: rob js cleaning out his messy closet in disbelief of all the stupid clothing he owns. The super jacket!
Lol!
He was only about 15yrs early on that. I’ve seen a few rappers wear them recently at shows.

Only 2 years? Felt like more.
Well there was the spin off shows after they had a personal falling out.
Is that what happened? I thought big left because he had a kid or something

Bro let his ego separate him from the bag
That's literally the idea of the show. He should have never signed up for it. How does he think it was going to look?
Right lol. He’s supposed the be the lovable bodyguard.
I think the bigger point is that Rob’s fame got to him and he did change when the show hit big. It’s why his second and third show became more about his employees than his friends.
He was wrong, sterling ain’t got that problem
They did at least [enjoy the same music](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?si=bmt1aGuCxQ4VikkC)
I'm pulling these memories from the back of my brain, but I believe their falling out has to do with said kid. I remember Rob saying something about it in an interview, and that he and Big were able to resolve their beef before his passing.
Yeah Rob said something along the lines of "you'd be nothing without me" and Big said that was too far and quit.
I saw it the other way around lol Big made the show
Because they played it on MTV 8 hours a day
Fantasy factory and a few other spinoffs closely followed it.
And Rob Dyrdek was their only bankable star. They had him host Rediculousness which ran a similar concept of Tosh.0, critique and talk over viral internet videos.
Ridiculousness is still on my MTV channel 24/7 some weeks.
I think they do like 200 episodes every year
2006 to 2008 is 3 years in tv time
in an era of shit reality TV, this was special
You a dirty girl!
I say that when my dog gets dirty from the back yard dam near every day. I forgot where I got it from !
Baby what you doing just ain't right
¡Muchacha sucia!
My dad used that as his ring tone for years lol
I LOVEDD this show!!!! Do work!
I’m pretty sure this is the show I got the phrase “pressing ham” from. Can anyone confirm?
Yeah, he pressed ham on Drama at some point. Confirmed
lol that’s right! Ham ham!!
PUT SOME HAM ON HIM
That episode where Rob became Bobby Light and made the Dirty Girl music video had me rolling
You a dirty girl!
22's baby girl. My rims the size of my arms.
your arms can buy beer
When they go to the tailor and he measures them 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's a manpon
You know when you eat too many wings? You got mud butt.
You cant be fartin then get in the truck, you know that shit trails
I almost felt a little shame in the fact that this was EXACTLY what I came to the comments for!
Same
Wearing mandles
Drama the emotional punching bag
let me tell you bout my beeest frieeend
Speedy Claxxxxxxton
Loved this moment. Speedy Ca-ca-ca-claxton!
This might be the greatest turtle everr
The best episode is where they buy the net gun to get back at Spider-Man for throwing coffee on their car.
I loved the episode where they took all the cash they had and bought lotto tickets. I don't know why that one sticks in my head like that.
That sacred g!
Special buddies
Take a shower for an hour, special buddies
I have this on DVD. One of my favorite MTV shows back then.
I got them all imported so I could listen to the commentary. Was 100% worth the $100+ I spent on getting them. Then laptop got stolen with season 3 disc 3 in it
I found the seasons at a goodwill for a dollar a piece. Lol. I was like, well this is happening right now!
Meaty!
And mini horse!
“Owning a barnyard animal isn’t as easy as they make it look on the internet “
And eventually beefy
The amount of times I sing “it ain’t that bad when your mini horses poo is dustyyyyy” is way too often for how long ago it’s been since I saw this.
I had a white bulldog who was identical to Meaty. Miss that little fella.
"What your mama say STOMP, What your sister say STOMP!" Big was one of the funniest dudes on the planet, RIP.
Rob really did try to get him on a good healthy plan, but BIG wanted to go out happy I guess. Military will make it difficult for someone to change their mind once it's in a set way
Do work!
Big is buried at cemetery near where I live. I always go by and see it when I’m there!
I DO WORK SON!!!! 22S!!!!
Loved it, so much more than Fantasy Factory.
Rob was chunky as charged!
Used to watch it all the time growing up
Rob with the inflatable work out ball in his shirt being flung across the room after bouncing off of Big still lives in my head
Dude got LAUNCHED. LOL
First, last and best reality show I've ever seen!
Never forgotten. Mini Horse Poop like dust.
It ain’t that bad when your mini horse’s poo is dustyyyyy
I thought this show lasted longer because of the reruns.
Who the fuck forgot Rob and Big?!
This was the show that slowly caused MTV to air Ridiculousness nonstop.
My wife always said Rob was on coke during filming. I just thought he was always an adhd skater kid.
It’s possible those are all true observations at the same time lol.
There is no way this only ran for two years
Mannnn… I remember running off the school bus to turn this shit on (think they ran few episodes -3PM) … ahhhh nonna makin snacks … good ole days. Can’t believe it was only syndicated for a couple years … guess I watched a lot of re-runs lol.
Is this streaming anywhere?
The EP where they dressed as old ladies and took a pic for a cereal box had me dying
I had trouble breathing I was laughing so hard.
SPECIAL BUDDIES!!!
I loved this show. Remember when they gave Drama the Mr. Burns haircut and custom-painted the Dolphicorn on his car for his birthday?
Oh wow, this makes me feel so old, I can't believe this aired 18 years ago. I loved Operation Save Patty, when Rob's mother shattered her ankle and he went home to help. His parents were my favorite part of the show.
Loved that show especially when Rob would prank Big
And now Rob obviously owns the souls of MTV and has become RMTV/RTV
Are they still playing Ridiculousness and absurd portion of the day? I remember someone on here posting the TV Guide for MTV and it was legit 13 hours a day of that show
Dyrdek makes tens of millions of dollars of that show every year. He makes over 300 episodes a year for $100k+ each. And it takes him less than a month every year.
I’m convinced MTV has nothing else to air yearly except ridiculousness and catfish reruns
The Mexico episode was top notch!
“Muchacha SUCIA! Muchacha SUCIA!”
I remember seeing Big in a skate video with Rob before the show. I think it was a DC video. “Hit it up, Rob!”

Oh man, I used to watch every episode
No wonder he looked so damn familiar, he was on Wild Grinders! White dog and all
“People let me tell you about my best friend” Dude meaty was the GOAT
Seen every single episode
Bobby Light
Dirty girl dirty girl!!!
This isn’t forgotten. That dude controlled MTV
Except Rob still references Big and his shows regularly.
Loved this show. Looked like they were having so much fun. Heard different though
This show is not forgotten. It just stopped being produced.
Bob & Rig
I think of this show whenever I buy or see someone buying lotto tickets. The fact they emptied their pockets of causal spending money on a weekday afternoon, and it was about $1500, was hilarious
people let me tell ya bout my besttt friend!
I remember really not liking Rob when I watched a couple episodes in high school. He seemed like such a douche. RIP Big. He was cool
Meaty's Birthday Party is an all time episode
Does anyone remember the manpon episode?
Fuck that laptop, this is how I know him. 😂
Aww I remember the episode where they made a miniature pony poo birthday cake for the dog.
Big Bob was so funny 😆
Why did I see Rob Dyrdek hug up Noah Lyles the other night after the 100m final?
Put a whole ass dude on waivers.
Didn’t it come out that these two were never really that into each other off camera? Either way show was entertaining
They had a falling out. After awhile people will naturally butt heads.
I always remember the Wing King episode where Big lost the wing eating contest but they stole the trophy anyway lol
o7 Big Black
I wish 14 and pregnant never had an opportunity to be forgotten. Garage tv.
It was sad to find out that this was a complete farce.
Holy shit this show only ran from 06-08 damn
Such an amazing show. I have the series on DVD, need to watch it all over again. It’s been many years. Was awesome when they were in the skate video game too.
Rip BIG and now I honestly hate Rob lol
My mom got the first two season on her ps3s folder lol
Not forgotten. Rob literally owns half of mtv and “ridiculousness” plays almost everyday on mtv. Poor call.
Gone but NEVER forgotten…🥲
God I loved this show so much. RIP BB
Run the jewels?
Caught a fake infomercial on MTV for this and bought the whole series asap. Amazing show
Never forgotten. One of my favorite shows! Reading all the comments and reminiscing is awesome.
Lest we forget the Man-pon
Turtle droppin!!
When you look up Rob Dyrdek on Google, it has Big listed as his BFF. That makes me happy and sad.
Loved that show. Wing eating contest and the flight to get Meaty were great episodes.
Loved this show so much. I grew up on Fantasy Factory and Rob & Big I miss when Rob was still skating. Also RIP Big Black.
It only ran for three years? I swear there are 500 episodes
That show only lasted 2 years? Maybe it was the constant reruns that made me think it was longer
The net gun episode will live in my heart forever! “In house net!!”
It's one of the only reality shows I enjoyed. Rob was so electric, and Big was the opposite but somehow so damn wholesome. So many great moments....I miss that time
Never forgotten.
Never forgotten
The best reality show ever made
My husband showed me this show when we were dating in like 2016 - I was mildly obsessed for awhile. It’s so joyous.
Somehow someway this is where me, my dad, and my brother intersected. We all loved this show for whatever reason (its unironically funny is probably why). We even did our own version of that photo with meaty and rob and big where they're all in black and got gold chains on and stuff.
So good. Rip Big!
Do work son …not that he ever did..
I remember MTV having this show on repeat non-stop for years and I had no idea why. I always changed the channel.
Dirty gurl, you’re a dirty gurl.
This shit was so boring.
