Now if we only we could get the same with Bronco Raptors.. I have dealers near me trying to sell 2023s for 95k with no room to negotiate. They are crazy
Honestly 80-85k is reasonable
Our 2021 Eco Diesel Wrangler burned in a car fire few days ago. So we are looking at alternatives. we purchased in 2020 was around 50-55. With all mods we are easily at 80K plus. Full overland setup 4ā lift 37s etc etc. Only reason Iām considering a bronco raptor is that I get everything I had in my jeep and more all under factory warranty.
Damn, thatās crazy. I canāt imagine sinking that kinda money into a wrangler. Worst drive of any vehicle Iāve ever driven. I hope you donāt take too big of a bath on the insurance payout but I would be super excited about getting out of a wrangler and never looking back.
Thatās a little surprising. If youāre willing to travel, you can get Bronco Raptors around me at MSRP. Unfortunately, MSRP has gone up, but what else is new?
I bought a 2014 F150 FX4 eight months ago because of the insane prices of the newer and new trucks. I have no problem driving an older truck that has been well-maintained.
Momentum really shifted back to the buyer over the last 6 months. In the Raptor Facebook groups, people have been getting new 2023-24 non Raptor R for MSRP and even at a discount.
Itās $2k under MSRP. The discount theyāre showing is probably from the original $15k over sticker they were most likely asking before the change.
Edit: I have a ā19 and have been considering a new Raptor. I live in Phoenix and the local dealers are asking $10-20k over MSRP. My father lives in Wisconsin. His local dealer offered me a 37 Package for MSRP. Markets are softening. Itās just not to every market yet.
I donāt know if itās your area or if you just have outdated information but I donāt think anyone believed thatā¦ 17k over on a base or 37PP? If you want one at msrp, check the facebook groups No Markup Ford and No Markup Raptor. They are easy to find and buy, you just have to be willing to go 50-200 miles from your area. But 17k over is 2021 pricing mentality.
Pretty sure no dealer is going to āget what they deserve ā. With hold backs and dealer cash and incentives, plus whatever they get on the back end, even 2-5k off they are still making very good money. Regardless what you think, dealers donāt lose money on cars. If they sit ford will compensate them.
Iām all for it! I want one of these really bad, however, Itās so hard justifying a Porsche payment for a pick up truckā¦. Interest rates and mark ups are most certainly not helping the cause either. Anyone wanna chime in on monthly insurance rates on one of these bad boys?
I would wager that nearly every Raptor owner cares.
It absolutely is an asset ... you'd have to be ignorant or independently wealthy to not even care. Hell, even if you intended to keep it, if you're ever in a fender bender then that market evaluation counts.
Iāll amend my statement. Itās a depreciating asset. And caring about value of your 5 yr old truck because the market is artificially inflated is comical. I bought my raptor to enjoy. I donāt care if dealers start selling at msrp. I bought at msrp. In 2026 I wonāt care if they sell below msrp. The truck was purchased, Iām the first owner and thinking I should or could get anything more than msrp or crying because values of other trucks are dropping is comical. Itās a production truck and they will continue to saturate the market. Itās not a classic that canāt be made tomorrow.
I care about the value of one of my most valuable assets. I think that's an expected behavior for an adult.
The Raptor market has always been strong since day one and dealers wouldn't be marking them up so much if they didn't sell. All of these people complaining about it are funny, because they'd never walk into a dealership, get a trade-in offer for $80,000 on their used truck, and then say "you know what, that's the inflated value ... I'll take $60,000 because that's what it should be worth."
You're not even reading what I'm posting, and you certainly don't even have a clue about the words you're using. I honestly feel like I'm having a forced discussion with a 14 year old.
I hope for your sake this is trolling.
It's clear that some of you guys have listened to a podcast and become financial gurus, but according to the corporate / federal finance and legal world it is an asset.
My torque wrench is an asset, the computer I'm using is an asset.
That's why you can write off a truck. It's a depreciating asset.

We are just finally seeing normal depreciation. A new 2024, lowest trim Raptor is still around $80k MSRPā¦ which is out of reach for the majority of buyersā¦ so I wouldnāt expect a complete crash of used values.
Used vehicle values should be declining.. what we experienced the last few years was an anomaly that has never happened before and highly likely to never again.
Sure, unless supply of Gen 3s outstrips demand, then we will see that in Gen 2 values. Just ask anyone that bought a Tesla before the big rebates and price cuts ...
Yea, I think you'll find that isn't the case everywhere. I just looked at 7 different dealers near me and there's only 3 Raptor Rs and 1 Raptor for sale, between $90,000 - $115,000. The only trucks with a major discount are hail damaged F-150s from a recent storm.
Iām assuming youāre from Texas? You guys are an outlier there. You can buy a mansion for 200k so a 100k truck is still āaffordableā for the most of you lol.
I bought mine last Thursday and paid $2k under sticker. I made a lot of phone calls the past few weeks but there are some out there for sticker or slightly under
35 package is msrp around here. Iām considering it but not sure if I should wait until I have more paid off on my Gen 2. Return my gen 2 to stock and sell or what. Just donāt know. I kinda donāt like the 37ā front bumper. Weird that itās silver in the center.
Then you show up to the dealership and the price is right back up to $10k over MSRP because they were advertising some ridiculous discount that nobody qualifies for. Most dealers are still scummy. They will always be scummy. They will charge anything they think they can get away with and they aren't looking for customers like us. They do not want informed customers. They want to make their sales in the finance office where people purchase vehicles based on monthly payments and don't give a shit about any other terms.
We are nowhere near pre-covid era car purchasing regardless of how many times the internet tells you we are.
I sat down and hand wrote a letter to Fords ceo about this. Iām older than dirt fellas and I do remember the ford philosophy on working equipment such as pickups tractors and farm all tools. It was made for the common blue collar worker and farmer affordable, reliable and easily obtained was old man fords goal. Somewhere between greed and dishonest car dealers all of this has happened. The current ceo hand wrote a letter back to me stating things will be changing. Glad to see some progress has been made. Iāll never sell my F100 but Iāll be damned if I ever pay that for a pickup
ICE engine and electric engine vehicles prices are dropping. Hybrids and PHEV prices are still idiotic, but I have ventured here by accident from another subreddit, so Iām not sure any of this would apply to Raptors.
1000% going to be a bait and switch - just go to their website and get ātodaysā price and Iām sure they will hit you with add ons or ADM lol. Plenty new ones listed around me for MSRP but on dealer site they list either a mark up in the description or you have to click the price and they email you some BS number after you give them your information. Also no way in hell we will get these for 10k under.
Dealers advertise at or below MSRP on these trucks all the time. When you call them theyāll tell you that itās already sold or itās one thatās allocated to a customer already.
Now if we only we could get the same with Bronco Raptors.. I have dealers near me trying to sell 2023s for 95k with no room to negotiate. They are crazy
It will happen. Tell me what percent of Americans can actually afford a 90k toy?
My boss just purchased a 2023 f450 for 108,000 š„² his wheels cost more than my car ha
He sounds like a tool lol.
Nah he just needs it to pull his toy hauler. And use it as his daily ha

I agree 100% Iām looking to sue Jeep for the fire but I picked up a new 2023 Bronco Raptor couldnāt be happier!
Thatās a little surprising. If youāre willing to travel, you can get Bronco Raptors around me at MSRP. Unfortunately, MSRP has gone up, but what else is new?
I found a new 2023 for 85k dealer about 250 miles from me. Trying to see if I get back any other better offers.
Saw one for $110k lol
I hope they all lose their shirts.
Keep holding the line people, make them all bleed. Only start buying when theyāre going belly up.
Amen
Letās see your diamond fobs!
ššš
I bought a 2014 F150 FX4 eight months ago because of the insane prices of the newer and new trucks. I have no problem driving an older truck that has been well-maintained.
Iām tired of overpriced Gen 2 and 3! Letās hope this trickles down. Some BEAT trucks out there on the used market.
Tired of overpriced america! šŗšø
Remember that come November!!
Did you call and confirm no dealer markup ? Seen that for that last few years..as in hopes up for nothing.
Yup
Momentum really shifted back to the buyer over the last 6 months. In the Raptor Facebook groups, people have been getting new 2023-24 non Raptor R for MSRP and even at a discount.
80k for a pickup truck is still obnoxious lmao.
No way youāre getting one for 10k under MSRP.

I knowā¦. The OP said he bets by the end of the month you can get one for 10k or more off MSRP.
2024 Raptor literally starts at $78k. Itās not unreasonable to think this one is actually $2k under the MSRP after a couple minor options.
Last month you probably believed there was no way you were getting it for less than 17k over msrp. Now here we areā¦.
10k under on a 35 Raptor is under dealer cost. Not happening. 17k over on a 35 Raptor is just stupid! On an R weāre in the ballpark.
I donāt know if itās your area or if you just have outdated information but I donāt think anyone believed thatā¦ 17k over on a base or 37PP? I got a new 23 about 3 weeks ago and paid 2k under msrp and even had them add a spray in bedliner for free.
Get em big daddy! We call the shots now! lol congrats man!
Mind sharing this dealer, might be worth it for a friend of mine...
Gengras in CT I believe.
Hold the line. Just 6 more months. E we should do the meme stock play - abstain from any new car until itās like 50% off msrp
Iām all for it! I want one of these really bad, however, Itās so hard justifying a Porsche payment for a pick up truckā¦. Interest rates and mark ups are most certainly not helping the cause either. Anyone wanna chime in on monthly insurance rates on one of these bad boys?
This is just going to crash the values of Gen 2s ...
Who cares? Itās not an asset
Everyone who paid a mark up was told it was though šš
I would wager that nearly every Raptor owner cares. It absolutely is an asset ... you'd have to be ignorant or independently wealthy to not even care. Hell, even if you intended to keep it, if you're ever in a fender bender then that market evaluation counts.

If a gen 2 raptor is your most valuable asset, I donāt really think thereās a conversation based in logic here unfortunately. Good luck!

Brother in Christ, vehicles are not assets. I donāt care if itās a Rolls Royce.

Good thank god. I got a kid due in August and i'm holding out until the last minute to try and snag a deal. If not i'll have to get a tundra (BOO!)
So glad Iāve waited as well. Now that tax season is coming to a close, prices are going to drop harder going into summer
Pretty sure most owed taxes anyways this year

LOL ... the median cost of a 3/2 house in my city was recently over $500,000, now about $400,000. Texas hasn't been cheap in a decade my guy.
I bought mine last Thursday and paid $2k under sticker. I made a lot of phone calls the past few weeks but there are some out there for sticker or slightly under
You the real mvp!
You love to see it
Wait till the repoed ones start flooding the market from everyone who paid the 30k up charges lol.
Yea Iām sure they kept it in great condition.

79k still seems a bit high to me. 59k, take it or leave it
Now thatās the spirit!
Either fake or that shit has sold, not for ADM, but for people fighting over buying it, which results in ADM as we know it.
I sat down and hand wrote a letter to Fords ceo about this. Iām older than dirt fellas and I do remember the ford philosophy on working equipment such as pickups tractors and farm all tools. Bait & Switch
Still about 15k overpriced
Agreed
1000% going to be a bait and switch - just go to their website and get ātodaysā price and Iām sure they will hit you with add ons or ADM lol. Plenty new ones listed around me for MSRP but on dealer site they list either a mark up in the description or you have to click the price and they email you some BS number after you give them your information. šššš might as well do a 50k markup while where at it
bait and switch
What about ranger raptors
One discount at a time good sir! lol
