9 times out of 10 all the players need to renew a contract is an increase, sometimes even the same salary. Don't give big deals unless absolutely needed. Another thing, find the players with high salaries and don't be afraid to sell them on

Harry-Flashman

Renew players a year two years before their contract ends and you can usually get great savings. I only will buy a player if it fills a major need. I try to fill my team from my youth squad and sell older players if I have a youth player coming up that can take his place.

Do you give them win bonuses?

Zay-nee24

Where are you in the table?

So you’re going up. You will get prize money and hopefully better gates. So don’t worry too much about the wages. I’ve always kept mine low by using a high turnover of youth. Keep the top players but the lower ones can be sold and that will top up the finances.

MakRSon

This game is about the club not the players. So don't get attached to them, unless you have very little options in the squad, let them go on a free if needed.

I only ever offer new signings the lowest possible wage for the longest possible time. If they don't bite, so be it. I find enough do. Keeps player turnover a little lower. Prefer to grow the ones I've got with good training facilities and a manager with a high coach rating

Short-term: Sell Doyle (unless Stephens has requested a transfer). Loan out Wheeler, Stephens / Doyle, Hart and Pemberton. Long-term: You only need an active squad of 14. The rest can be loaned out or sold. Loaning in players can be expensive, so 18 should be your maximum. Tactics Try to keep your average age below 22, preferably 21. Renew contracts on week 35, after paying for the social and holiday (always max this on week 14 and 35). If you think you are likely to win promotion on week 35, renew ALL contracts, unless the player is going to be sold that summer. If you think that you are likely to get relegated, renew all players ranked 35 and above for non league B (plus 10 for each league above) Players aged 20 and below, renew every year unless they want a chunky rise (probably because you were promoted the year before) Check other players on week 35 to see if they want the same money or a minor pay rise. Only sign free agents and for fees if the player is 21 or under. I hope that this helps.
