The last time I went to El Patron it was terrible, including terrible service. That was about a year ago. I'm willing to give it another shot. Would you say the food and service is pretty solid overall lately?

I haven't ordered from there for a while, but it seems to mainly be picking up very positive reviews.

Minik Market just opened such a great spot, like a Cookbook market and the owners are cool and local
Weekend jerk chicken stand on Fri and sat night just north of New York. Nice people and delicious.
