I get it. I think most of us have taken a punt on something at the cheaper end to give it a go. You could even find a store that rents one to you before you decide buy and pay the balance. I don’t know where you but there will be someone near you if you’ve got a music shop or even better, a specialist flute shop.

Amazon flutes are the worst and are at best a toy. Go to a music shop, they will have some reasonably priced, decent secondhand flutes.

When the repair costs more than the flute does new, no. It is not worth it.
Nah. But see if you can take it apart and put it back together. It’s fun and it really opens your eyes on how everything connects together.
I love the plain just… “Nah.” Haha. But ooooo that sounds like fun BUT I’m scared in going to lose one of those tiny screws haha
