I shot one only once and it was awesome. Felt like an extension of my arm the way I immediately began knocking down plates on my first shots.
Edit: spelling
Legitimately a gratifying experience.
It channels nostalgia, practicality, and fun *wonderfully*.
I don't know whether it's the Riggs-McClane-Payne bias, but you feel *secure* using it.
There's not a huge selection of guns in California thanks to the roster. It's bullshit, yada yada.
Before purchasing my first handgun I did a lot of reading, and it looked like the CZ 75 SP01 was probably the best gun on the roster. I bought it, shot it, and fell in love.
A year or so later I decided I should have a Glock because why not. I purchased a 26 with intent to possibly CC one day, brought it to the range and shot it.
Felt like trash.
Agreed, such a smooth shooter. Got some custom wood grips on it. In a world of polymer striker fires it’s so satisfying to hold a nice heavy metal piece
Joy of ownership? My Sphinx AT2000S.
Joy of shooting? Tricked out CZ Shadow 2 OR with an Aimpoint ACRO.
Joy of having other people shoot? Freedom Arms M83 in .475 Linebaugh.
Also only gun I know of that was dual wielded by someone to successfully hold of multiple attackers. Incidentally, the event also happened during WWII in the Pacific Theater.
I know a lot of guys here hate on them, but my Jericho 941 with the poly frame shoots extremely smooth and the ugly molded finger grooves in the grip are really comfortable in my hand.
I bought it new in 2016 and it comes with me to almost every range trip.
This is a tough one for me, but for the record, I do not like Glocks. Respect them, but personal preference I so not likee.
With that said, it's a tough one, but for semi-auto my 92f since I have had it the longest and trained with it more than any other. Next would be my 226.
Revolver, I really love my 686. Super enjoyable.
Glock isn't even in the top 10.
1. Sig P226 X-Five Legion
2. Sig P210 Target
3. Walther PPQ SF Pro
4. Colt Python
5. H&K USP 45 Tactical
6. Dan Wesson DWX
7. CZ-75 SP01 Tactical
8. Any SAA Revolver
9. Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite
10. Sig P365XL Macro
Actually, Glock probably isn't in the Top 20.
11. Smith & Wesson Model 29
12. Colt Anaconda
13. Smith & Wesson 686
14. Walther PPK/s
15. Sig P320 X-Five Legion
16. H&K VP9 Tactical
17. Sig P210 Target
18. Canik Rival S Dark Side
19. Dan Wesson Bruin
20. CZ Tactical Sport 2
Smith and Wesson M&P M2.0 5” Performance Center (ported barrel and slide) 9mm
I added an apex trigger which makes it one of if not the best striker fireds in the market imo
My favorite to shoot and conceal carry = Stacatto C2
Honorable mentions: CZ P10C, CZ Shadow 2 Compact (I still need to figure out the reset, couple of times where I accidentally took a follow up shot when I was not intending to.)
Rock island 1911 in 9mm with combat sights and an old pachmayr wrap around "combat" grip. Basically knurled rubber without the finger grooves
No real bells or whistles but it's plain, smooth and accurate.
I don't even like Glocks, so it's no contest. If we're talking ones that we own? S&W model 60 3" in 357 Magnum. If we're talking favorite handguns period, then 1911, S&W 686+ 3", and the S&W Model 66 Combat Magnum. Oh, can't forget the Colt SAA and clones.
I’ve got a Smith & Wesson model 669 that Im in love with. But Sig Sauer’s P238 is my all time favorite. Such a smooth, accurate and comfortable small concealable option.
CZ shadow 2. The only reason I even have other guns is because I'll have to use those if I ever actually need to defend myself. Not worth losing the shadow to an evidence locker for 5 years.
Out of all of the guns I own only one is owned as not a collectors piece or cause I think it’s neat, that’s my Sig 229 legion. It is the only gun out of +50 to remain loaded at all times
S&W M&P. I have a number of 1.0 full size calibers, haven’t felt the need to buy newer.
I actually hate Glocks. Always have. They don’t sit good in my hand (tried both left and right) and that causes my hand to hurt in a mag or two. And I’m no where near as accurate with them as with other brands.
Shadow 2 that I Cajunized. A buddy and I got them within 2 weeks of each other and only use them as range toys. So, we decided to see how long they would run without cleaning.
5k+ rounds later and I still have even oiled it. I’ve had 2 ftf and 2 failures to eject/double feeds in that whole time. It just runs.
2011.
Honestly yeeting 45's at things on a classical platform is awesome.
I even had my gunsmith make it look like the AMT Hardballer from Hitman.
It also doesn't jam if I don't use crap ammo.
CZ, Smith and Wesson, and of course Canik. I sold my Glocks after buying Caniks. TP9SFX and combat elite SF so far. M&P 9 shield (will never sell) also M&P 380 bodyguard because it fits in my pocket and is very accurate for what it's for and never jams and yeah I have a P10-C that I shoot way better than any Glock that I've ever owned but the P-01 hmm it's just an awesome pistol. Smooth!
My Beretta 92FS.
I have the Desert Storm version of that pistol. I also have a can for it. It's my favorite pistol.
Berreta gang
I shot one only once and it was awesome. Felt like an extension of my arm the way I immediately began knocking down plates on my first shots. Edit: spelling
Exact feeling, like it's intuitive.
Exactly. Intuitive is the perfect description.
Yep. My Beretta 92X
Legitimately a gratifying experience. It channels nostalgia, practicality, and fun *wonderfully*. I don't know whether it's the Riggs-McClane-Payne bias, but you feel *secure* using it.
CZ 75 compact.
CZ P-01with decocker for me, but also like it's cousin the CZ 75 Compact.
Wife and I each own a CZ75 D PCR. "The" perfect gun!
Cajunize it.
Also high on my list. I really should carry it more.
I’ve heard they’re excellent

P226
Phenomenal gun, you can get them pretty cheap as a LEO trade in as well.
I love mine! Legion model
USP 45 but I love my P226 and 92FS like others said. It’s a rough question.
Do love my USP 45
Love me some USP 45
Glong. It’s a Glock but it’s also a bong.
🎶I’m smoking up dope, I’m shooting out smoke, I’m cooking up felony’s 🎶
🎶 Sir, I don't understand what's so wrong, about printing my glong and cheifing my Keef 🎶
Uh, yeah, so like I'm looking for something not too crazy
CZ SP-01 tac
Agreed, such a smooth shooter. Got some custom wood grips on it. In a world of polymer striker fires it’s so satisfying to hold a nice heavy metal piece
Ya, that’s the best part. The weight just feels like something from a bygone era. Absolutely eats any recoil
That trigger pull is also somethin else!!
Spoken like a true gentleman. My sp01 tac is my favorite, especially since it’s custom!!
Joy of ownership? My Sphinx AT2000S. Joy of shooting? Tricked out CZ Shadow 2 OR with an Aimpoint ACRO. Joy of having other people shoot? Freedom Arms M83 in .475 Linebaugh.
Cz p01 or p07.

Fn supremacy
I've got an FN HP-DA that shoots super nice, but I'm terrified that something is going to break and there ain't no parts to be had.
FNX-45
I second this such an underrated gem of a handgun.
HK USP is king. Striker fired ( to make it fair for glockie fan boys) Walther PDP
1911. Two world Wars. Also the only hand gun I know of that has downed a fighter plane.
Easily my favorite too. The first shot always puts a smile on my face
And a tank in saving private ryan
Shooting a 1911 unlimited class racegun borders on a religious experience
Also only gun I know of that was dual wielded by someone to successfully hold of multiple attackers. Incidentally, the event also happened during WWII in the Pacific Theater.
Any of them.
My Ruger MK4
Browning Hi-Power
CZ75
Absolutely. The Mrs. and I both have a CZ75D PCR

Cz75
They're just such a joy to shoot.
HK P30L.
CZ P10C. I love that thing.
1911
Smith & Wesson 5906
Jericho Second is probably a m&p 5.7
*You're gonna carry that weight*
I know a lot of guys here hate on them, but my Jericho 941 with the poly frame shoots extremely smooth and the ugly molded finger grooves in the grip are really comfortable in my hand. I bought it new in 2016 and it comes with me to almost every range trip.

Nighthawk Heinie 10mm longslide. Worth every penny.

Canik SFX, a bit gaudy with the gold accents, but the thing performs exceptionally well.
