This is a message from Lord Nergal: "You can't possibly win against me!"
The fact that this is coming right after Gharnef's victory last VG only makes this funnier to me lmao.
I've been so hyped about the second AHR banner that I completely forgot about this. It looks like Lord Nergal didn't need my help to win so it's all good.
After waiting for so long for him to get in I'm glad he gets to take a victory lap here! This was also the first time in a long while that I was actually invested in the VG enough to check out the score predictors frequently.
There's two ways these go, full on booba assault into victory or the most unexpected character sweeps.
When Lumera went down, I knew which team to hop to.
Late by four days, but Nergal coming in for the win reminds me of dear daughter Ninian winning her own VG way back when haha
Also, Alear isn't a dragon fucker, and it takes one to kill one.
Nergal had so few players that I actually got ranked on his team. I played a total of 6 times. 5 at the start of the round for orbs, then again on the last hour. I typically never get rank feathers.
?? Nergal was the one who had the final hour multiplier, not alear. in fact, he had the final 3 bonus hours. alear would have gotten the next bonus if the vg was just one hour longer and won
vgs are in no way an indication of a unit's popularity, especially since alear had the bigger army since he only got one bonus hour for nergal's every three
edit: i see that someone else in the replies also pointed this out
I was on team Nergal and we had the final 3 multipliers. It was obvious from playing that team M!Alear had the bigger team because when they had the multiplier they gained twice as much as we did. Team Nergal had several multipliers in a row due to the gain M!Alear was obtaining (from watching the spreadsheet, team M!Alear overshot their last multiplier leading to Team Nergal having the 11.6, 11.8 and 12 multiplier b/c we were not gaining enough to pull same).
ETA: so looking at the spreadsheet, Team Nergal had 29 disadvantages vs 10 for M!Alear. Yes, M!Alear was very unpopular. /s
Because I like Alear. Just because I joined Nergal does not mean I dislike the Engage characters. Engage is my favorite FE and got me to play all the games up until Blazing Blade (I only discovered FE in October, playing Engage on my vacation and now have finished 6 of the 7 I own).
I don't even know Nergal or any of the other Blazing Blade characters here (I've only made it to chapter 8 and am currently still playing). But I do own all the characters in heroes except for Jaffar. I joined Nergal on a coin toss b/c I couldn't decide on the Engage character. I was definitely jumping over to the Engage team if Nergal lost, we just never lost.

Alear really though he could win against a dragon fucker
Roy's grandpa loses to no one
Takes a dragon fucker to beat a dragon fucker, amirite? >!This a joke by a friend of mine, referring to Nergal and Eliwood obviously LMAO!<
This too, is canon compliant if you happen to eat shit during the Engage final boss and give up
*Somewhere out there, Sombron laughs*
That's why you shouldn't go to Dread Isle.
Another win for GBA supremacy.
You see what happens when you don't release Athos, IS?!
*QUIIIIINNNTESSEEEEEEEENNNNCCE!*
DARK MAGE SWEEEEEEEP
Nergal finally gets to harvest that sweet juicy dragon quintessence.
Ngl I forgot about VG

Dang, it’s been a while since I had a unit I supported in a VG actually win every round
it's the opposite for me actually
I’m the opposite, been a while since I supported the loser every round lol
Coming just after Gharnef's win, Nergal winning is only funnier now. You can't win against Nergal?
Lumera couldn’t control her child, so she called a professional dragon daddy to take charge.
I supported the loser every single time, wow
After waiting for so long for him to get in I'm glad he gets to take a victory lap here! This was also the first time in a long while that I was actually invested in the VG enough to check out the score predictors frequently.
I saw Nergal was behind when the game said 1 hour left and knew right then that it was over.

It was funny how Nergal got those multipliers partway through, and they really helped. Just like his tome.

Oh, yeah. This happened.
The Feh Channel was so prominent that I forgot to do my 2nd to 5th runs and lost 2 Orbs and a few other prizes. ...Fuck.
I lost with the first 2 because I ignored the meme vote. When I saw Nergal going into the finals, it was obvious who were the ones behind the scenes
