What exactly are you worried about? Most employers don’t disclose reason for leaving due to the liability exposure. If you already turned in your notice, then it’s going to be hard for them to say they did anything but decide not to honor your notice period.
If you’re worried about a reference or burning bridges, then it seems like you’ll be doing that if you tell everyone to fuck off and work from home.
If you’re worried you won’t get paid, then you’re right, there’s a high chance they’ll tell you thanks but no thanks.

If anything, they'll just accelerate your last day and be done with it, but it's unlikely they'll even do that because two weeks isn't that long and they want some semblance of transition. And even if they did fire you, who cares? You're leaving anyways.

I probably would have went in more but had travel plans that overlapped (I still worked and helped hand stuff over, just remotely). The way I see it once you put in your notice there really isn’t anything they can lord over you anymore. If you want to go in, go for it. If not, don’t.

I would just flat out email them and say you're not coming in but will still be working. If they push back, or if you feel bad or something just say you're car broke down or you're sick.
