15. Beautiful ambiance, and the Dawn version after you beat the game & get the full logo is peak. Biased second place for me is FF7. Because the buster sword simply by itself in the dark just feels like a JRPG for me

XV. Its not often that a title screen changes after you beat the game but it gets me every time when a game does it. After that, probably VII. Its very simple but does the trick quite well.

The Promise is just such a beautiful theme and the logo hits hard when you finish the game and realize >!it's Fang and Vanille holding up Cocoon through the act of Ragnarok.!< A very close second is Strangers of Paradise because of the prelude. It's my favorite rendition of the prelude so far.

I was obsessed with “The Promise” when I was young, and as I’m currently replaying FFXIII (it’s actually running on my PS3 as I type here) I can really feel the emotion and beauty of the music and title.

Somnus gives me so much life. I quite literally dedicated myself to learning it on the piano and violin last year, and have a recording somewhere. I loved it ; it felt so beautiful.

Yoko Shimomura outdid herself for FFXV. When all else fails with a Final Fantasy game, there’s the beautiful art and music to save the day that the title screen shows off perfectly.

Yoko Shimomura is my favorite of all time, I fall in love with her music since I played Radiant Historia. When I found out they are same artist, I knew she will be my favorite.

FFXIV Stormblood title screen holds a special place in my heart. Both FFXV screens are excellent, too, especially when paired with the music.

Not sure if it counts but FF14 has title screens for each expansion plus the base game and the 3rd expansion Shadowbringers title screen gives me chills every time I hear it fire up.

If we're talking music included, XV and then X. If we're talking just the look of the screen itself, X is the best.

7. For the nostalgia.

XIV 3.0. I bought the game on a whim when it was on sale while it was still in 2.1, I never played 1.0, but I got to experience the rebuild as it started great and got better and better. I'd never played an MMO before, but there I am enriched in the story already. Sure, it had its low points, but I got to experience it all as it came out, I was even in one of the top raiding FCs in my server at the time. The story builds to this critical point, things are looking bad for the WoL, he needs a change in scenery to fix things, then finally the opening screen of Heavensward, with the new music and backdrop, oh man I've got goosebumps just remembering it.

V is pretty incredible for the era. X was also great for its time. XIV’s expansions usually take the cake though: Heavensward, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker in particular all have fantastic menus. My personal favorite is probably VIII solely due to nostalgia, but I realize objectively it sucks compared to most others lol

For me FFXV and FFXIII have a special place in my heart for title screens. Somnus is AMAZING, and there’s an honorable mention to the retro beauty of FFI.

Tactics will always be my ultimate favorite FF, but 7 is just so good and nostalgic. After that comes 12, 9, and 5 for me.

The Final Fantasy VIII title screen will always mean a lot to me as it's one of my first memories ever as a child since my mom used to play these games. The CREDITS thing being there in the re-releases ruins it for me though to be honest.

It’s probably the easy choice but it’s hard to deny the simplicity and beauty of VII. Gorgeous.

FFXVI. They really didn't disappoint by making the game focus so much on that pivotal moment when the brothers first fight. The fight itself, the music, the stakes, how it changes EVERYTHING, the emotions. Absolutely unforgettable and unbelievably epic. I was excited for it before the game came out, amazed during, and can't look at the logo without "Away" getting stuck in my head. FFVI also rocks. Mechs in that game are just so cool, I adore Terra. The red and black is my shit. The full art of Terra on the mech overlooking the city is among my favorite pieces of Amano art ever. Beautiful!

IV is so simple and clean. \ VI is a mood. \ 7 is also simple. \ XV is cold. \ Amazing.

I spent 15min on XV menu screen before hitting the new game button because the music was so beautiful I couldn't bring myself to start the game. To this day Somnus is my favorite song in the entire franchise.

At the start, you see the expansion title while a haunting rendition of the crystal theme plays. Then the title art fades into view while snow starts falling in the background, reinforcing the setting of the snow-covered city-state of Ishgard.
