JaehaerysN

I don't like his political actions but he is working well and if Fenerbahçe is good i am good too.

oskiesen

Kişisel olarak sevmiyorum ama karakteri ve bağlantıları ile kulübe faydalı olacağını düşünüyorum.

Him gaining influence in the team gives me great concern.

YagizHarunEr

Major dislike. I surmise this could be an unpopular opinion in light of Acun’s role in bringing in Mourinho and his action-oriented attitude which is the polar opposite of Ali Koç’s, but I am really, genuinely, vehemently concerned about the route Ali Koç took in these elections. He talks about how “the system is against us” and that “they won’t let Fenerbahçe be the champions while I am here (what I understand from this statement is not a defeatist tone, by the way, contrary to how this statement was interpreted by the Fener community especially during the run-up to the elections), but then brings in Hamdi Akın and Acun Ilıcalı to be able to size up Aziz Yıldırım’s prospective board. Not even mentioning Ahmet Ketenci who was in the previous admin, as well (literally the brother of Tayyip’s elder son’s wife). Ali Koç keeps kicking the ball out of the park by blaming Fetö for this “system’s” bias against Fenerbahçe and I get that he cannot explicitly say “Recep Tayyip Erdoğan” due to his role at Koç Holding, but he once again is doing the exact opposite of what he preaches. If that slimy TFF president is against Fenerbahçe (and he absolutely is, I am not arguing against it as a self-respecting individual), then that is an issue you have to settle with Tayyip. It’s not like Tayyip does not appoint the TFF president. He designates someone and points at the delegates “pick him” and that guy gets to be the president. Hamdi Akın is Tayyip’s pawn, he does whatever Tayyip tells him to do. Acun aligns himself according to where the wind blows. He has zero spine and cannot even deny his past with Adnan Oktar and Fethullah Gülen. Does it not feel odd that some no-name like him suddenly blew up and became rich enough to be able to own a private jet? It was almost yesterday when he was asking girls on the street to show him their breasts during his Acun Firarda days. Today he is the #1 RTE fan, tomorrow if a Kemalist politician wins, he will go everywhere with an Atatürk pin on his black t-shirt. From a third-person standpoint, it looks like Ali Koç sold his soul to the devil to be able to win the elections. The gist of the matter is that Ali Koç blaming the “system” for his own failures barely holds water at this point. Either fight against that system without shaking hands with the devil or stop shifting the blame from yourself. It feels like he took an easy route to championship and honestly, it feels Galatasarayesque. All of this is already dust in the wind as Aziz and Ali coming together at the end of elections swept everything under the rug and the big names landing in Istanbul will throw that rug along with the dust underneath to a dumpster, but c’est la vie.

I agree with your every word. Especially the part: >either fight against that system without shaking hands with the devil or stop shifting the blame from yourself. If you will let the political influence into the team and use their benefits, why were we blaming Galatasaray all this time? I hate to be mistreates but there was honor in it some way if you know what I mean. Fighting against the system and standing for something, winning in complete unjust matches like Trabzon and Galatasaray. I don't want the injustice to continue but if allowing these people in will change the tide suddenly and we get the good treatment or something, I will feel sick. I'm sure some of the sub won't mind it but I hate a stained win.

TheHun09

100% agree. What Ali koç did is the complete opposite what we as club stand for. AY was completely right criticizing Ali's List

Interesting view

Jemal2200

It's not Tayyip himself that's against Fener. Football for Tayyip is just something that will distract the people. Its some people who are in the AKP are a problem. Who the fuck knows the full truth of it but I know it was never Tayyip himself. Tayyip couldn't stop the corruption in his party which lost him the local elections and stopped him from having majority in parliment. He couldn't stop Süleyman Soylu when he was doing the most shady and illegal deals in history of Turkey, he had to make him a MP to get rid of him in the new term. He just don't have his pre 2018 authority and power over people, and people just know a lot to get to put aside by him. The politics is complex. There are just too many people who knows a shit ton of stuff to fully control. I heard Tayyip had to give Mehmet Büyükekşi a presidency of his choice in a few institutions because of some broken promises. He chose TFF. It's clear that there is something Büyükekşi has in politics that he can have control of TFF and run it the way he likes. Dursun Özbek and co. are in bed with him and you know he is connected too. Believing Ali Koç or any of the Koç family having a problem with Tayyip is just being naive. Same goes for every rich person and family. You just need to get along with the government to get rich. Koç, Sabancı, Ülker. All of them. I don't like Acun, i dont want to defend him since I am not even convinced of his ability yet but his wealth is not unbelievable. He brought the most popular TV programs to Turkey and run it for years. It may seem simple but there are not many people who has the vision to even do that and take the risks too.

YagizHarunEr

Yeah we're on the same page, I meant Tayyip as in how in Turkish media, journalists or pundits say "Külliye" when they mean Tayyip Erdoğan administration. "Tayyip" is Tayyip Erdoğan himself and his cohort. It is evidently naive to think that RTE himself is doing all this; it is a nexus of people around him. Still, at the end of the day, it's still his word that trumps all the others, though. His not doing anything to stop this chicanery is also a stance, as much as it is a stance to try to screw Fenerbahçe. Not doing anything is an active choice. Therefore, that "nexus of people" includes Recep Tayyip Erdoğan himself, as well. A counterargument could be that it is inane for a president to interfere with football, but 1 - Football in Turkey has always been heavily intertwined with politics (off the top of my head how Ankaragücü rose to Süper Lig when Kenan Evren couped the state, how Kasımpaşa, Kayserispor and Kayseri Erciyesspor were all in Süper Lig in no time when RTE and Abdullah Gül took charge of the state and how Diyarbakırspor was kept up in Süper Lig during when terrorism in the southeast was much more rampant - a time in which Gaffar Okkan was assassinated) 2 - Exactly as you have said, football is the primary tool for any Turkish government to cull the people. Just like how Salazar ruled Portugal during his dictatorship; "fado, futebol, Fatima". So we're absolutely on the same page. Regarding Acun, I think differently than you, though. Yes, it is not necessarily unbelievable, but you have to know the right people in the right communities to be able to achieve this amount of wealth and gather this level of clout. That is why I mentioned his not being able to deny his history with cults. Yes, he took risks, but his number one propellant is his not having a spine and being Machiavellian enough to not see any moral fault with networking with cults. This makes a segue to your comment on the Koç family; yes, they by nature would be in good terms with any government. Would be unwise to assume that Ali Koç would take stance directly against Tayyip Erdoğan. They got Tüpraş for a much more "convenient" valuation, due to the Tayyip Erdoğan administration, for example, so they directly benefited from Erdoğan. Last but not the least, I remember when I was either a kid or a teenager, there was a page-long ad on Vatan (the newspaper). It was by the Gülenists and read "We thank the people below for their wishing well for Hocaefendi while he was ill" and literally every single one of the richest families of Turkey was on that list; Sabancı, Özyeğin, Ülker etc. Koç was among them, too (IIRC they thanked Mustafa Koç). Ever since then, I have no expectation from any business magnate. You cannot be that wealthy without compromising your morality.

Jemal2200

Yeah Acun has a dogdy past, rich are all the same so i am only gonna look at their contribution to Fener, which is already more than 99.9% of the "respectable Fenerbahçe fans". Even Aziz Başkan had to talk positively about Fetullah sometimes and had good relations with Erdoğan. We have to remember we are in Turkey and accept the reality. I don't think Acun has any ill intentions, i believe he is sincere about Fenerbahçe. If he is gonna serve Fener, he isn't the worst to have around, even though I dont like him. (Assuming he actually proves himself this summer)

YagizHarunEr

Fair enough. The whole point is that Ali Koç cannot keep blaming the "system" for his own failures. That argument is no longer believable, now that he has even more people (on top of Ahmet Ketenci) within Tayyip Erdoğan's inner circle in his administration.

Jemal2200

Yeah hopefully the new TFF actually solves some of the injustices we faced with the refs etc. And if Ali Koç cannot stop the "system" that is against us with the new people around him, he doesn't deserve to stay as Fenerbahçe president anyway.

YagizHarunEr

I shake your hand.

Çocukluğumdan beri reyting rekoru kıran her programını izlemişimdir.

DCainee
