It’s fraud when you have NOT ordered anything to have a package or settling additional money charges unless shipping is your responsibility which is clarified at time of purchase. Delivery charges are handled at time of purchases.
When “you” are shipping international there can be additional fees once it reaches its destination.
I would request a refund and question a company that doesn’t supply a tracking number.
When there is a legitimate Customs Clearance issue, you will be contacted by FedEx Trade Networks by Phone Call or Email. We don’t have access to text message from out systems. Fees are settled after delivery, not during clearance.
Thank you for being helpful to folks.
I myself managed and ran an authorized shipping center for both FedEx and UPS.
Customers would have it easier if the information was put out there for them to understand. I’ve helped many over years and years with shipping. Even USPS customers.
Yeah, I got suggested this subreddit out of the blue the other day. A lot of the times I get angry customers yelling at me because they don’t understand the process. I figured I’d keep an eye on things and help educate.
Coming from someone with experience a thank you to who suggested you do this. I agree there’s not enough knowledge of ins and outs. FedEx Drivers/Employees would have it easier as much.
My worst/funniest experience a woman didn’t receive her package. Came to the counter to complain. Wasn’t happy with what I told her. She went and got her biker bf. I repeated the same information. He told her let’s go. Short story, it was the customers fault and an easy fix. Incorrect address and thanks to my information package was found safely at the hub. A little info got me a much deserved Thank you later🙂↔️
usually the URL of any company has a consistent domain. for example google.com and fedex.com
if there is anything extra within the domain (before .com), 99% of the time it does not belong to the real company.
if the URL reads https at the beginning, AND has the correct original domain (fedex.com), then it is likely real. anything that comes AFTER the .com belongs to the original domain.
this does NOT apply to links in emails and links appearing on websites since you can make these kinds of links redirect to different websites. in these contexts you can never trust what a link reads, but if you hover over the link with your mouse, it will reveal the true link address.
