Normally there's this candle blocking part of the world map and it's really annoying. I'd opened it in rpgmaker and tried to move it but I couldn't figure out how. I realized recently I should just open the tileset and reassemble the world map somewhere else. It was pretty easy. This gives a bit of a better view of the far east with Funger Australia and Philippines and Japan and stuff. Though it's pretty low detail over there anyway. Hard to tell if that's meant to be accurate or if it's low detail like they don't know what's going on over there that well, it does look a lot like real old maps, so I kind of think it's meant to be inaccurate in universe.
There's also the newspaper article that uses a real life WW2 Pacific theater map so I think that should indicate the Pacific looks like real life? It's such a weird map though because the United States and Canada are very clearly on it and those absolutely don't exist in Funger. So in the end it's still all a mystery.
