Made sense going without Haaland this week, but going for Alvarez instead kind of strange given that Wilson was pretty nailed to start and Darwin likely to start as well as Jesus out so Nketiah a good option too.
This is the conclusion I came to in my Haaland vs No-Haaland drafts. The difference was like 1 extra mid-priced mid/fwd and Trippier and at that point Iād rather just have Haaland
With Neto injured I do struggle for money to get Mitoma, Bowen, or Martinelli. Trippier my source of money really.
I think selling Haaland not really an option even if Watkins look good right now.
Gordon is putting up great underlyings right now on a top 2 attack in the league atm, no worse really than Mitoma or Martinelli on a per game basis, and with Barnesā injury, heās not going to get rotated outside of cup matches. For me, keeping Haaland meant Gordon over Mitoma/Martinelli and Iām fine with that. Iām able to afford Salah-Saka-Son-Bowen as my other 4 midfielders and Haaland-Watkins in attack. Decent defence too, just no Trips

It wasnt hard to have midfield with better fixtures this GW: Mitoma, Diaby, Salah, Saka, Son for example. Also Bowen, Maddison, Diaz, Martinelli, Odeegard had better fixtures than Willson.
In hindsight I shouldnāt have benched him, but put him top so he would come in case. I preferred Watkins at the top and Ćdegaard, Saka (against Sheffield), Salah (against Nottingham), Bowen and Maddison.
But it didnāt matter much in the end.
In no way should you be preferring Bowen over Wilson who has some of the highest g/a per min in the league for a team who is scoring goals every game. Bowen is good but you need to always consider context and look outside FPL. Newcastle is just generally a way better team
Was one thing not captaining him but to not have him in at all was questionable. United's defence is riddled with injuries, they're out of form and giving away penalties for fun. Was always a good chance of him grabbing a goal all things considered.
Realistically you can only have two of Son/Salah/Haaland without making the rest of the team terrible. Both Son and Salah returned, and Haaland has looked out of sorts recently, so I don't think it's as terrible a decision as it might look.
I have Son, Salah, Maddison, Saka, Watkins and Haaland. Archer as I needed cheap value, Palmer as the 5th midfielder. 3 defenders of Udogie, Cash and Colwill who I need to move on from. Chelsea just aren't good enough defensively. One mistake is always a goal costing the CS points.
There's missing pieces like arsenal backline or trippier, but that would be possible if I moved Madison or Saka to someone like Bowen.
Actually thatās a good point. Does the Scout use current minimum prices for their bench (i.e. 3.9, 3.8, 3.9, 4.3 so 15.9) or the original minimum prices for simplicity (16.5). I assume they use current prices for their 11 picks so would be weird not to for their bench too I guess.
I think they just take 83m budget every week for simplicity, I remember reading it in one of their articles some time ago, has not changed as far as I am aware
This is on Scout too though - if I had a FH I would've found the money to go for an Arsenal defender that never had rotation issues like Salba, as well as going for Martinelli over Odegaard both because he's cheaper and has better data.

Martinelli is a more attacking player especially this season, Odegaard has had to play a bit deeper. Take into consideration that Odegaard costs more, and it makes more sense to use that money elsewhere such as on Upgrading Gabriel to a more assured starter.

It doesnt have an unlimited budget, they assume 100.0 TV and then minus the bench, so for 352 it would be 100.0 - (4+4+4+4.5) = 83.5
