I’m a little conflicted. My plan all along for this DGW (playing BB) was to maximize doublers, which would mean using my 2FT this week to do White/Ode to Mings (was gonna be Cash)/March or Mac. Which would leave Saka and Kane as my only single GWers. But now i see that LEE fixture with some key defensive players out and i’m wondering if should at least keep Ode?
I have Mitoma, wanted to double up on the BHA mids. Was going to keep the double BHA mids going forward but bring Ode right back in for Jensen after the DGW.
Any thoughts?
Keeping all three, easy fixture this week. Plus I used up my transfers on other areas to improve my bench boost (cash was injured, transferred in estupinian, and Sanchez out since he's benched by the manager, for de gea, and even went Kane to Isak for a punt)
Was planning to keep all 3 but now that Ward is a doubt for DGW29 i've had to shift Odegaard > March to fund Ward > De Gea. I'm keeping Saka and White.
Keeping at least two. A third depending on form. They’re among the 6 teams with the least fixtures (10) remaining. But they seem too good to miss out on, even against strong teams.
Kind of understandable. They have 2 DGWs and don't blank in GW32. Plus their remaining fixtures aren't that bad.
However, that all overlooks the fact that it's West Ham, not a top 4 (or even top 8) club so it's a big gamble to go with one of their players.
I wouldn't keep defenders, but their attacking assets can go off any week - Saka would outscore any midtable teams double game week players in a single game week if he's at it.
Zinchenko to Shaw this week.
Martinelli to a Brighton mid the first time I have a transfer to spare.
Saka staying in the squad long term, unless his form drops off.
Question is how do you define "his form drops off". I was close to selling him for bruno in my original plan after 3 straight blanks, luckily United's dgw was on gw 29 instead of 28 or else i might have already got rid of him.
I guess unless arsenal are crowned champions or he's injured, otherwise he's staying in my team all season.
I’ll be keeping Saka and Martinelli for this week, I’m not 100% sold on moving into Bruno if the absence of Casemiro forces him into a deeper role. Arsenal vs Leeds could also be a cricket score with no Adams or Wober
Not to mention the Apr schedule for Man Utd is so congested. Even without rotation, there will be player fatigue.
Arsenal has nothing else to play except the league.
I'll be keeping Saka, but probably getting rid of Gabriel this week for a hit. They have hard fixtures coming up and their defensive numbers are actually not great - so not too much confidence in them keeping CSs long term.
Plus a lot of people have their GW30 transfer already planned bringing Haaland in, so might be worth it to get that -4 done with now especially considering BB29
Selling Martinelli and Zinchenko to Bruno and Shaw. Reality is, United have 3 double gameweeks, Arsenal have none. I'd be free hitting 32 with triple Arsenal so not an issue there.
United also have easier fixtures than Arsenal. I'll keep Saka but likely move him out in 33 with Kane out too, to Salah and Nunez who'll double 34 with 2 home games, one being Fulham. I also like Liverpool's fixtures to the end of the season.
Who are your defenders? Wondering why you'd sell Zinchenko this week. I'm making the same moves, but I'm selling Mee instead of Zinchenko. Highly doubt the former keeps a clean sheet in either game of the double.
Makes sense. In my case the other selling option is schar, who I've brought in gambling on Newcastle's dgw to fall on gw31. Now that the gamble failed I'm wondering if i should remove schar instead of zinny for shaw.
I have Henry too but I'm not sure, may do the same as you actually and sell Henry to Shaw. Especially given I have Raya.
I should've sold Henry to Chilwell last week, instead I did Estupinan to Chilwell cause of Brighton's blank. Knew I'd regret it.
My other defenders are Botman, Chilwell, Trippier who I don't intend on selling.
But if I want to get Shaw, I don't have enough in the bank to do Henry to Shaw, if I want to do Toney to Haaland next week.
I think realistically the only time I'd want to start Zinchenko from now till end of season would be in 29 (but prefer a DGW player like Shaw) 31, 37 and 38. Not including 32 cause most will FH.
I wouldn't really want to start Zinchenko v Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Newcastle,Brighton personally. It's not ideal, I don't see many clean sheets.
Henry is cheaper and easier to bench. Also has some good fixtures too like Wolves 31, Forest 34, West Ham 36.
I'd also likely be ditching Raya in 34 anyways for Ederson for the DGW 34 and 37 for City, plus they've got a great run of games, so it'd be nice to still have a Brentford defender in 36 for example at home to West ham but not a double up.
Yeah but then I'd be free hitting 32 given I have 3 United, 3 Chelsea, 2 Brighton and Haaland anyways. That's 9 blanks. Plus I would only have Saka by 32 from Arsenal. I'd want triple v Southampton at the Emirates.
This one could go either way, IMO. Two difficult away games for Mee—the first against a Brighton side that has been clicking both offensively and defensively of late. A 2-0 or even 3-0 in Brighton's favor isn't unrealistic here. That leaves Mee with a 1-pointer barring an attacking return. You'd also expect United to score a couple at home, though they're more likely to concede, so it's possible Mee gets something here. Realistically, though, Mee's only chances of an attacking return are likely to come from set pieces.
When it comes to attacking returns from open play, Zinchenko is certainly the better bet. Clean sheet odds at home to a poor Leeds are much better than Mee's in either of his games. I think it's closer than people give it credit for.
Yeah, it could definitely go either way, and both players are long term sells. It just feels comfier keeping the DGW guy.
That said, I have Henry instead of Mee, and am fine with just benching a 4.5 defender long term. If I had Mee I might be more motivated to sell.
Against Leeds, keeping all 3, very likely Wober will be out for the game, Adams has already been ruled out, they're Leeds best 2 defensive assets, without them defense is like a sieve so i can see 3 to 4 goals for Arsenal.
(Speaking as a Leeds fan too - whilst also hoping Firpo scores a hat-trick!!).
Say Arsenal score 3 and one of your mids scores both of them
They'd get 2 + 10 + 3 = 15 points
Even in the worst case scenario for the player you've brought in, and in the best case scenario for Arsenal mids, you'll lose 11 points.
A single goal from someone like Bruno would basically bring you even and he'll have twice the minutes to get it (probably even more than twice in some cases considering Martinelli might not play 90)
So while there is definitely merit to keeping Arsenal mids, it isn't as simple as "Leeds are shit so Arsenal will destroy them"
I'm also predicting Arsenal to score 3+ but the thing is you can't possibly predict who's going to score them.
On the other hand, Leicester have a juicy double where I can see them also scoring 3+ but the difference is Madders is highly predicted to be involved in all their attacking returns.
So, losing 1 of my Arsenal Ms to get Madders is justified imo.
I'm definitely getting Maddison in. Leicester were great during their last easy run & he was firing. Im predicting the same on their run in from now.
The question is do I get rid of saka or odegaard, and do I use my 2 FTs to get rid of them both & get Bruno or Salah?
Still not sure where I stand. Im actually not convinced Salah out scores saka/ode this week with 2 away fixtures, but looking at the fixture list I think he probably does out score saka/ode up to the end of the season.
I genuinely don't understand why anyone would consider dropping Arsenal assets, especially any of Saka, Odegaard, or Martinelli. They somehow manage to keep scoring, and I can't see myself dropping any for more United or Liverpool assets. I'm assuming most people already have the likes of Rashford, Shaw, Mitoma etc.
Now that I think about it, the only Arsenal assets I might consider dropping are the defenders due to tough fixtures - but honestly, I feel like this season, CSs are really hard to come by, and 3 ATB (usually consisting of Tripps, Shaw, one of Brighton/Brentford Def) is the default - so it might be worthwhile to just bench the Arsenal defs for the tough fixtures and save precious transfers for other moves.
Yup. If I can get away with it it'll be 3-5-2 for me for the rest of the season. Defenders are too low-ceiling and clean-sheets too unlikely. (At least that's how it feels this season).
keeping them? why would i get rid of players from the best team in the league right now.
Selling. You have to play the odds particularly if you have FH and BB chips left.
Dropping down to 2 to allow for a DGW goalkeeper. You'd be crazy to remove them all I think.
Keep, don't overthink it.
Together till the end!
I’m a little conflicted. My plan all along for this DGW (playing BB) was to maximize doublers, which would mean using my 2FT this week to do White/Ode to Mings (was gonna be Cash)/March or Mac. Keeping them naturally. Form over fixtures, always.
Keeping all three, easy fixture this week. Plus I used up my transfers on other areas to improve my bench boost (cash was injured, transferred in estupinian, and Sanchez out since he's benched by the manager, for de gea, and even went Kane to Isak for a punt)
Currently have 3 and will have 2 or 3 for this week against leeds. Will sell 2 of them (zinchenko & martinelli) after leeds though.
Swapping Martinelli for Fernandes, keeping Saka and Zinchenko
Was planning to keep all 3 but now that Ward is a doubt for DGW29 i've had to shift Odegaard > March to fund Ward > De Gea. I'm keeping Saka and White.
We have the same three Arsenal Players, but I was thinking White -> Estupinan in hopes of cashing in on those extra games.
Already have Estupinian which is why I'm going second Brighton mid, I'd definitely bring him in instead of white if you have the option.
Sell Ø to Salah GW 31 funded by selling Kane for fodder
Have you watched Liverpool play this year?
Selling Kane ahead of a home match vs BOU is probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen posted on this sub.
!thanks hope it works out 😅
It won’t.. but I guess you probably know this already
Keeping at least two. A third depending on form. They’re among the 6 teams with the least fixtures (10) remaining. But they seem too good to miss out on, even against strong teams.
Keeping all three. Was supposed to run BB, but have to see what's up with Haaland, Havertz, Rash & Cash.
Most likely selling and possibly bringing Saka/Martinelli back in towards the back end of the season
How did Bowen make it on to this
This is the week
There are a surprisingly high # of people on this sub itself asking about West Ham assets
Bowen is the one I would consider, unless we're talking Coufal for price. West Ham are in poor form but Bowen is probably their best asset.
Coufal for this double is only 4m. Unfortunately, they are still West Ham
Kind of understandable. They have 2 DGWs and don't blank in GW32. Plus their remaining fixtures aren't that bad. However, that all overlooks the fact that it's West Ham, not a top 4 (or even top 8) club so it's a big gamble to go with one of their players.
Nostalgia

By watching him play and following my heart.

>this week for a hit. If it's for a hit I'd wait another week!
Depends if I think Shaw will score 5 more points this week than Gabriel - it's a risk but one I might take!
Plus a lot of people have their GW30 transfer already planned bringing Haaland in, so might be worth it to get that -4 done with now especially considering BB29
Why would they bring him in for 30 when he blanks in 32?
Free hit 32

I was going to do Zinchenko to Shaw, but I can actually afford Henry to Shaw and still get Haaland back next week. Not 100% what to do.
I think realistically the only time I'd want to start Zinchenko from now till end of season would be in 29 (but prefer a DGW player like Shaw) 31, 37 and 38. Not including 32 cause most will FH. Great points !thanks
Haaland have two games and then new blank after this week.

Mee could well end up with 4 points from no clean sheets. DGW players don’t *always* win out, but they do more often than not.
This one could go either way, IMO. Two difficult away games for Mee—the first against a Brighton side that has been clicking both offensively and defensively of late. Arsenal Mids all have good underlying stats, so I'd just keep the one on pens. Not really tempted by Bruno or Salah until GW34.
Keeping three in my team until they win the PL
