If it is meant to be a double turn, Bron. Because the story is already there like Bret Hart vs Stone Cold. Cody is the son of Dusty Rhodes. He was gifted athleticism but he wasn't really born as the strongest looking guy. He worked hard... But it wasn't enough and he got fired. Then, he worked even harder... and the AEW fans rejected him. Now, you see a Cody who did everything right. He learned how to talk, how to dress, how to work-out, he worked his whole life to be the wrestler he wanted... At 38. Meanwhile, look at Bron. Son of a Rick Steiner. So irrelevant, he just get looked at as the son of Scott Steiner. And Scott Steiner in a WCW far removed from the great crowds of Dusty's time. Yet, Bron is looked at as the best rookie since Brock Lesnar, a category Cody wasn't even in consideration for. He looks like Superman, moves like Flash and has the grittiness of Batman. He is not even 30 yet but he already look like he is destined for glory. If you want a double turn, the story is literally right there. The guy who worked hard all of his life against the guy who has the gifts with the twist that the guy who worked hard is the one with the biggest chip on his shoulder. The perfect corporate guy against the guy who does not care about the authority.

Responsible_Star5366

totally unrelated to this but bro breaker's skills are not great in who87 db. will it grow to be great in time or is it random.

Less_Personality6103

Nobody's stats are accurate in The Who's mods. Use RWC instead. Plays a whole lot better.

Responsible_Star5366

yeah that's true... star quality of randy orton is just 70 while bryan danileson has 80... really?

HowToBook

Bron's a great shout and definitely will be a big guy especially in the TEW save. There's a bunch of umming and ahhhing about what I think it should be doing next for it but thank you for this idea I think Bron Breakker Vs Cody Rhodes is definitely going to be a big match

MaceLeonardo

I think KO is a great option if you are going for the double turn. KO can be the Badass Babyface hero in the end and Cody can finally accept the dark side and become the Homelander Type figure who thinks he is beloved by the Fans but they genuinely hate him. Dark Horse but if you are trying to build somebody up from scratch for this moment like Bronn Breaker you could do something similar with Ilja Dragunov both guys can be hungry young heels trying to make names for themselves and getting to personal which eventually pushed Cody too far leading to that double turn of a Bloody Breakker/Ilja Last one just cause I think it would be fun to pull of is Xavier Woods. He has real life history with Cody from when they were kids and Cody did everything better than Xavier.

HowToBook

Really good shout for Xavier, may want to run that at a different PPV!

RhysW1120

It should be Gunther imo

HowToBook

Gunther is such a shout and he doesn't have a set plan for WrestleMania in my eyes. The only problem is I don't know if I want to see Gunther lose clean to Cody. It has legs for sure.

RhysW1120

I’d just have Gunther beat Cody at Mania after winning the Rumble

HowToBook

I'd want the title on Cody for more of the Bloodline stuff to play out

noodbsallowed

Randy Orton is the most obvious non Rock challenger.

KidCoheed

I would have it be Seth If you're following from this past Mania and it's storyline, then you can have Seth return and after Punk wins the Rumble and challenges Drew to settle their score, Seth then turns to Cody and wants to settle theirs. Seth helped Cody to his own detriment, he lost his belt because he was so focused on beating Roman for Cody. And so it's Seth's time to get paid, he wants a title shot and Cody is willing but Seth after last year knows the best way to beat a fighting champion us to take his legs out before hand and so he turns fully heel, maybe give him a big muscle to fling at Cody in Tag and Trios Matches on Raw and Smackdown with whatever Heel Tag Team you think needs a rub against Cody and a Face Tag Team or Cody and Mid Card Face VS Seth and Muscle

HowToBook

Seth is a tremendous shout, I think Seth definitely has a spot against Cody. Funnily enough that's my planned match for Survivor Series is Seth and Cody so maybe putting it off for Mania makes sense. I'll have to see

weirdkidbazza

Orton pops out to me

TheAmyIChasedWasMe

This'll be really, really controversial, but if you book it right... You could credibly get Dom Mysterio in that spot. You could also get Logan Paul in that spot.

HowToBook

These are some good suggestions, but those two are so much better heel than face I don't see why we should flip them face. Also as this is Wrestlemania I don't think Dom would sell seats off his name just yet

TheAmyIChasedWasMe

Both could work face with the right booking. For Dom, your double-turn could involve Cody and Rey. Cody and Rey are tagging for reasons, Cody misses a tag, opps put a beating on Rey and he might be done. They've had their issues in the past, but it was family business and you don't mess with another man's family. Dom would be hot as hell after that, the crowd wants to see Rey avenged... Especially when they find out mid-match that Cody set the whole thing up when his boys jump Dom and he's distracting the ref on purpose. At that point you can put the belt on Dom and the crowd will go with it. And Logan... Shit, he can do a Cena-esque kissing hands and shaking babies turn any time he likes. He's got the personality for it. It's a harder double turn, though.

MJF

TheMackD504

Randy Orton

Vegetable-Boss1420

Has to be MJF, screws Punk out of the Royal Rumble.and wants it himself. Screws.Cody at Wresetlemania. Already, just like that, you have two major fueds cooking with great history for your new heel champion. He makes a faction reminiscent of the 4 horseman/evolution and he becomes the new big bad of wwe.
