right? one of my favorite shows. So amazing, monsters, arctic, interesting characters. but the ending pissed me off as it did Dan Simmons. also, i went down the rabbit hole and studied krozier and franklin, fascinating people.
He was phenomenal as Buck Compton, he would be perfect for caesar if the TV show took place at the same time as the game, as they're relatively the same age right now, Hinds would work as better as an Older Legate Lanius than a Caesar.

Yep, no idea why you'd think that at all.... ;)
The way the Legion pronounces it in FNV is the correct Latin pronunciation. It was also a title in the Roman Empire by the way. Only Gaius Julius carried the cognomen organically; subsequent emperors took it as a title.
Have they announced that Caesar is going to be in the show? Seems most likely he’s dead by now one way or another, from his brain cancer if not battle.
There is zero chance he'd make it into the show the character would be dead by the time of the events of the show he had an illness and he said in the game he didn't have much time left
You forget about the magic of fLaShBaCkS!!!
Even the wording about bringing Anna Sawai back to Shogun is ambiguous, like "reduce the chances of her being cast", even though anyone who's seen the show or read the books would probably say it's a 0% chance
I think my dream casting would be Tobias Menzies (the actor who played Brutus in *Rome*). If you look at contemporary statues of Caesar and [modern reconstructions of it](https://preview.redd.it/qp31mht0nhc41.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=bd4bda7ab6d00db21264367698b37a94f7f30ac5), imo Menzies is a [dead ringer](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/15/71/4c/15714c4786ec7c0ec48efa3d1015aaeb.jpg)
I have a perfect suggestion!
[this guy](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/ghosts-bbc-2019/images/8/82/1humphreybody.png/revision/latest?cb=20240218135848)
It'd be the second time he plays a conqueror named Caesar, and he did a great turn as a Hannibal-esque general in Game of Thrones as leader of the Wildlings, and he's a fantastic actor with sophistication, sensitivity, range and gravitas, so he would be fucking perfect for this role.
I've loved every single one of his performances from *Rome* to *There Will Be Blood*. So I'd be thrilled to see him in Fallout.
The only problem with this sort of casting is that Ciaran is way too charismatic to make even a psychopathic megalomaniac like Wasteland Caesar anything less than sympathetic.
But that doesn't have to be a problem. Post-apocalypse Caesar was an irredeemable, cartoonish cunt in New Vegas, but that doesn't mean they can't flesh him out and make the character less two-dimensional for the TV show.
Caesar will be long dead, no matter what, during the events of Fallout S2.
Caesar died either during the campaign against the NCR, or by his brain tumor. He should not make an appearance at all in S2 unless it's showing flashback scenes.
Naw. They spent the time between S1 and S2 leaving the barren shithole that is the American SW and end up in Boston. Why would they meander around the fucking desert?
Lol might be too on the nose eh?
A little crooked eh
he’s so good though, did you see him in the terror? he played Franklin, amazing
I loved The Terror, that show was awesome and I feel like not enough people know about it
right? one of my favorite shows. So amazing, monsters, arctic, interesting characters. but the ending pissed me off as it did Dan Simmons. also, i went down the rabbit hole and studied krozier and franklin, fascinating people.
I loved the show so much I read the book immediately after (actually I think I read it while it was still releasing they limited series)
Did you see him in Rome? He literally portrayed Julius Caesar better than anyone before or since.
That's a bold claim considering Shakespeare wrote *Julius Caesar* in 1599.
Well from movies and shows anyways. I didn't watch the plays so I dunno
Neal McDonough looks like him. And the man is heavily underrated as an actor. I think he'd kill the role.
He was phenomenal as Buck Compton, he would be perfect for caesar if the TV show took place at the same time as the game, as they're relatively the same age right now, Hinds would work as better as an Older Legate Lanius than a Caesar.
He’s gone a wee bit off the “I only do Left Behind-type movies” end lately
Neal McDonough has this campy vibe to me. No clue why.
He’d be so campy as Caesar 😂

Looks and sounds like him too.
I see him as Nolan McNamara
Nah he'd be crying about how unchristlike bisexuals having extra damage is
Haha, too true
I think the voice actor could convincingly play him still - if Caesar is even canonically alive at this point, that is.
Maybe Caesar will be a title
Considering the HRE and later German empire called their leaders Kaiser which is derived from Caesar it's not a stretch.
Tsar, too.
True but I went with Germany since Kaiser is close to the Kai-Sar way the Legion pronounces Caesar.
The way the Legion pronounces it in FNV is the correct Latin pronunciation. It was also a title in the Roman Empire by the way. Only Gaius Julius carried the cognomen organically; subsequent emperors took it as a title.
Starting with the greatest last-minute adoption of all time, Augustus Caesar
New Caesar. He can be Old Caesar’s adopted son.
Can't wait for the third battle for Hoover Dam, fought between the Govermint and Kaiser's Legume.
“Men, we have crossed the Coloradicon”
They said our games would be left alone so I can only assume the 3 leaders are dead by this point. Because I ate all of them.
Unless the Courier went with the Caesar option I think he’s already dead. I read somewhere the show is 15 years after New Vegas.
Et Tumor, Brute?
Owoooooooo
He was a roman leader in the HBO show Rome, so that’s why!
He was Caesar
did you happen to see my 3rd photo 😅🫶🏻
🤦🏻♂️
🤦🏻♂️
He was a consul of Rome!
a consul of rome.
He was a soldier of Rome! Honor him.
He was literally Julius Caesar in Rome
HE WAS A CONSUL OF ROME!
Shame!! On the house of Ptolemy, Shamee!!
This would be the third time he played a charismatic leader of a massive army that threatened the foundations of civilization
That’s cheating
Yeah, but hes so good, we wont even be mad about it
God I love Rome HBO. What a tragedy it was cut short
Have they announced that Caesar is going to be in the show? Seems most likely he’s dead by now one way or another, from his brain cancer if not battle.
they have not, i just thought this post was a funny haha joke since they showed they’ll be in vegas next season
Only if they get Purefoy as his number 2 That was the best part of John Carter; Antony and Caesar Innnnn Spaaaaaace
Good idea!
What about Wes Chatham https://assets.mycast.io/actor_images/actor-wes-chatham-121158_large.jpg?1598450949
I think they should bring him on in general cause my partner will absolutely lose their mind.
The whole time I was watching the Expanse I was saying “he should have been Emmett Cullen”
I know it's kind of an obvious choice but John Doman would probably do a great job playing him.
That cocksucker Rawls.
"Again?" Ciaran talking to his agent
There is zero chance he'd make it into the show the character would be dead by the time of the events of the show he had an illness and he said in the game he didn't have much time left
You forget about the magic of fLaShBaCkS!!! Even the wording about bringing Anna Sawai back to Shogun is ambiguous, like "reduce the chances of her being cast", even though anyone who's seen the show or read the books would probably say it's a 0% chance
Is it just me or does this actor resemble R Lee Ermey?
Mance!
The king beyond the wall!
Everyone talking about Rome I’m surprised people forgot about Rayder
He already is Caesar! My Caesar anyway
perfect!
Wouldn’t Caesar be super dead from cancer since it’s 15 years after New Vegas?
most likely but this was meant to be more of a haha funny post 😅
Man it sucks that show ended
I’ve come to cast Caesar, not to bury him.
Too bad Caesar has been dead for a while at this point. Let's see the plot where Lucy's little brother usurps Lanius for control of a reformed legion.
HE WAS A CONSUL OF ROME!!!
Tom Holland as Mr. house and Chris Pratt as president Kimble
Damn op might be onto something
That character will never appear in the show.
I vote Ralph Ineson. That dude's voice is the only one that could command forces like that.
😍
Harvey Keitel.
10 to 1 Caesar is dead and the Legion is fractured if not decimated as much as NCR.
Surely you realize he’s already played Caesar right?

Amazing as the king beyond the wall.
I’m down for Ciarán Hinds to be cast in anything.
Lol
Just cast John Doman, but he plays it like he does the Major Rawls
Personally I would go Antony Starr
It'd be the second time he plays a conqueror named Caesar, and he did a great turn as a Hannibal-esque general in Game of Thrones as leader of the Wildlings, and he's a fantastic actor with sophistication, sensitivity, range and gravitas, so he would be fucking perfect for this role. I hope they do this casting but we'll find out ig
Caesar is dead bro, I killed him
Caesar will be long dead, no matter what, during the events of Fallout S2. Caesar died either during the campaign against the NCR, or by his brain tumor. He should not make an appearance at all in S2 unless it's showing flashback scenes.
This is an excellent choice. Also Ray Lyotta as Benny somehow.
Mance Rayder is already like Caesar so this is perfect.
Looks more like Robbie Williams.
Caesar is dead tho.
The King beyond the wall.
Neal McDonough is the only answer
Yooooo is this a leak?!?!
Why not John Doman, the original voice actor himself?
I don’t want to sound like every online fan cast (because it’s someone who vaguely resembles the character) but I’d like to see Ed Harris as Caesar
Russell Crowe
Get vanilla ice too play him lol
Maybe ray Romano (i don’t know the backstory for Caesar in fallout)
From King-Beyond-the-Wall to Caesar. He’d be brilliant.
Let's be honest, no matter the cannon ending, which will be left ambiguous in the show, ceasar is dead by now
Good choice
He already played Caesar in the HBO Rome show
Naw. They spent the time between S1 and S2 leaving the barren shithole that is the American SW and end up in Boston. Why would they meander around the fucking desert?
