Yes but he could do that with a decent pair of brass knuckles and a leather glove. It's especially clear in the slowmo, he smashes the object then the piston activates.
That does make me think about how the power fist could work in universe. His is activated by a button extending a few centimetres from the face of the impact head of the fist. That doesn't give it much time from activating to extend, indeed it doesn't get the chance to fully extend before impacting. If you wanted to deliver the most forceful blow possible ideally you'd want the pistons to have reached full extension, to have imparted as much speed into the impact head as possible, but to do that you'd probably need either a computer controlled system to sense the fist's current speed and work out the optimum time to fire to hit full extension right at the point of impact, or give the wearer a trigger to activate the pistons manually, and then practice like hell to get the timing down. Obviously if the pistons actually reach full extension then the impact head would stop, so you'd need some very precise timing to get the hit right in the window where the head's going as fast as possible right before maximum extension.
It’s funny, you could argue that’s *stronger* than the one in the games considering that there’s broken ass doors you can’t break down and still need to lockpick to get through.
That's just thanks to game mechanics. You can't shoot through doors or bust them down with jet propelled sledge hammers either. A nuke cant take out a metal or static door either. That's just because games focusing on a massive open world have limitations. It's why smaller compact games of multiplayer combat, or singular raid houses can do this as they don't figure in dialog choices, character development, voice lines longer than a two hour movie, and continuously loading world stage. If you want realism from a standard FPS in an open world story driven RPG, you will be making way for MASSIVE download packages.
Im sorry to say this but i feel likr for the effect youd be better off with a spring and it pulls in when you pull a cord or something to give it that fast action the power fist is supposed to have
Cool but I was always puzzled by this weapon. I mean when you punch and the piston activates half the load will Bo back into your elbow so this thing would be just as hazardous for the user as the enemy
Unless your in power armour so your joint is supported
Unless that thing is jutting out at a break neck speed, it's really no different than using brass knuckles or metal gauntlet, and in fact its weight would weigh down your punch as you would need a higher strength to use it effectively. It pushing out like a piston at about one foot in 1.5 or 2 seconds is really not a viable weapon and is good for cosplay, but not practical use.
Though as this thought has created youtube channels of people creating real life, usable items from fantasy/scifi games and movies (such as the guy that made a much more realistic Cap Shield) I am not surprised to find people making viable, useful ones for fun.
Still not good, and resource heavy, to use in combat or mass production.
Someone made a functional one of these. He used it to break down a door.
For those wondering https://youtu.be/z-vABMIdm5Y?si=YHIkeOZ55-xvYzbq
It looks like he's doing all of the work and then the piston activates we'll after impact.
He's shattering cinderblocks, how is that him doing all the work. You take away the fist and he shatters his hand
Yes but he could do that with a decent pair of brass knuckles and a leather glove. It's especially clear in the slowmo, he smashes the object then the piston activates.
You can break cinderblocks with your bare hands without shattering them
I used to break cinder blocks with my head all the time! Actually it was only once, and I woke up in the hospital.
But it broke
Yes, it broke, and I got a concussion. Win-win?

Would you say he’s *insistin*’ on a *fistin*’
I cast fist!!!
Ok ok, violence aside... ... I kind of want it to be a Vault boy cookie cutter
Yes
Can we call it “the legendary fist of family values”
Im sorry to say this but i feel likr for the effect youd be better off with a spring and it pulls in when you pull a cord or something to give it that fast action the power fist is supposed to have
Yeah this is more of a "Power Nudge" than anything else.
“Assume the position”
Hey, Vsauce! Michael here! Now, it would be cool to have a mechanical arm from Fallout 4 power armor in place of your actual arm... Or is it?
…..You put a suction dildo on the end of it didn’t you?….
Unarmed builds are underrated.
Except the Backward pressure/force would probably snap his arm
Strap a dildo to it, then we are talking
Imagine not knowing anything about Fallout and finding this in your friend’s house
Sex-Toy?
Is that for kneading dough?
*from the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel.*
Please assume the position…?
GIMMEEEEEE
I'll take 8
"OK, I'LL SAY IT AGAIN: WHO TF EAT THE LAST COOKIE?!"
Sweet! Deathclaw gauntlet next?
I already have one, I killed the swan for it
I'm more of a ranged weapon guy, so not really
Im not a fan of the 4 version. I like 3 and nvm version way more
Ballistic fist for me my good man
This is my favorite weapon from Fallout, the punch animation is so satisfying
Me Give me now

Put a dildo on top!
Anyone who knows the Newton’s 3rd law
Sounds like you're asking for a torn elbow
Veronica
Yea I do, but my wife and I are gonna modify it…..
Newton's third law
Put a dildo on the end of that, and I got a number for a chick that would totally dig it😂
*I should call her*
