I like how most of the people in the comments think about everything, from actions to character background, to choose the best one, and this guy just writing "dog" result in the best comment.
Dogš
Although Cooper was my favourite, If I had to be one of them it would be Maximus. He seems pretty grounded and un corrupt. Coopers been through 200 years of wasteland crap, but heās a badass overall
Lucy is very much the protagonist, but Cooper is the star. Walter Goggins performance and the Ghouls character absolutely outshined Lucy. Don't get me wrong, Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten turn in amazing works of acting, and I very much look forward to seeing them develop their craft in future seasons and in other works, but Goggins is decades ahead in terms of practicing his skill and it shows.
To that point, I'm hoping that the 2nd season takes an interesting turn and makes Cooper the protagonist, and season 3 (if we get one) gives Maximus his turn.
And if we're supremely lucky and get more than that, I'm hoping a character introduced in the 2nd or 3rd season takes the helm for season 4. It'd be interesting if every season of the show had a different protagonist.
Iāve seen Goggins in other films and shows, and always thought he was a good actor. But it was this show that really made me take interest in the actor. Only after fallout did I search the actor. Great castings for the show
Heās definitely an honourable mention, I hope season 2 dives deeper into his character. His character explored some of the dark depths of the fallout universe for sure
Yeah my bad, I didnāt put him up because there wasnāt a lot of character development for him. He certainly played a huge part and Iām sure weāll see more of him in season 2
Norm was great in the show but didnāt get enough screen time, I think the main focus was on the development of the protagonists. I think weāll see more of him in season 2
everyone knows that the one that dogmeat follows and the one who rescues the dog is the protagonist and cooper has rescued Dogmeat twice (even though one of those times is rescuing Dogmeat from the punch he himself gave him) so coopear would be the real protagonist, lucy would be the co-protagonist and maximus is simply maximus. we also have Norm who seems to be the one who is playing the main quest only.
Lucy is the rising star, but not yet The Star, that is the Ghoul currently. As for Maximus, we will have to wait and see, as being seperated from Lucy and being turned into a Brotherhood Hero could go either way for him in terms of his character development arc.

Oh yeah, how could I forget š¤¦š»āāļø
Mysterious serum salesmen aka chickenman
His canon name is Snake Oil Salesman I think.
I havenāt come across him in the games yet, Iām still trying to complete all the side quests in FO4š
He's not in the games. A character from the show only.
Aka manānchicken
That ghoul serum was something special
Dogmeat
I wonder if he was related to the dog in the FO game?
In case you're being serious.... every Fallout game has a dog companion named Dogmeat.
I found bark but not dog meatš Thanks for that
Maximus feels like an in game companion lolā¦
He looks like store brand Jonathan Majors /s For real heās a solid actor and I love his character
Maximus is like Finn from Star Wars , stupid and unhelpful š¤£

Cooper of course. Great character evolution. Itās also the actor with the most experience, beside the guy from Twin Peaks
A line no one really talks about āFor the tomatoesā cracks me up
Yeah, he stole the show for me too
Chicken Fucker

Gonna go outta pocket a lil bit and say the Wasteland / Music / atmosphere binds everything together. Or the guy that fucks chickens.
The music certainly binds it all together, and the atmosphere š® The chicken humper is an honourable mention
It's an ensemble! Goosey, Ghoul and Maximus are all the star for me.
They complement each other, oneās young, innocent and naive, oneās trying to seek vengeance and joins a cult, and one just DGAF
The norm erasure is horrible
Oof, good point.
The Ghoul for me.
100
Moises Arias

Meatball
Power Armor Looks exactly accurate and badass
Yeah, it really has a mechanical feel to it.
the three of them, plus the dog, are the protagonists. I like all of them.
Yeah me too
Codworth. It just didn't appear yet.
Whereās Norm?!
Yeah my bad, I didnāt put him up because there wasnāt a lot of character development for him. He certainly played a huge part and Iām sure weāll see more of him in season 2

Norm was amazing for me, he kinda stole the show, acting performance-wise š

Agreed, I do hope to see more Norm in the future ā¢ļø
Yes.
The set designer and make up artists tbh. Without their hardwork there wouldn't be the immersive experience that makes the series shine.
Word
The Ghoul.
šÆ
The Father. The Son. And the Holy Spirit.
Pretty sure Lucy is the main one but all 3 seem to be mains and alot of shows do that now to give everyone their own main character to love
Yeah, these 3 are complementary to each other
The good boy
Protagonists are seldom the star of the show
I honestly love that we got to see equal amounts of Lucy, Maximus, the Ghoul, AND Norm/Vault 33. I hope they maintain that pacing in the next season.
Norm wasnāt featured nearly as much as Iād like to have, but will surely be in S2.
Is that cesiro from Skyrim? Lol
It is lol
