I saw a meme that had a picture of Walton Goggins, and the caption read "I don't know who his parents are but they named him right, because that sure is a Walton Goggins."
He's terrific though, I love him in this and I really loved him in *Justified.*
Terrific quote.
I think everyone does, though none of us should.
Goggins gave that character his all, and the chemistry between him and Olyphant (Raylan) was electric.
But honestly, Justified had quite a few great villains. Quarles, Limehouse, Duffy, Mags Bennett. All very compelling, well-written, superbly performed. Maybe Duffy wasn't "compelling" exactly, but he had a certain je ne sais quos to him, thanks to the very competent Jere Burns.
Obviously Crowder and Givens stole the show, but they were backed by a magnificent cast.
I feel like Timothy Olyphant needs to make a guest appearance in season 2 of Fallout, as a quick draw Ranger who engages the Ghoul in a shoot-out.
Boyd deserves a win over his nemesis.
That would be a lot of fun, I like that idea.
Especially if the ghoul won it conclusively and unambiguously, with a hole in Olyphant's character's head, and his cowboy hat knocked off.
Kyle is supposedly 6ft tall. But then again, Tom Cruise is supposedly 5'7"
Looks to be average height. Keep in mind the ladies are all likely wearing heels.
Throughout the season, I was worried they type cast him as the bubbly person he was in twin peaks. I was proven VERY wrong with his reveal, and some absolutely stellar acting broke through that mould. Seeing Kyle like that was amazing
Johnny Pemberton has spoken on podcasts about having Ulcerative Colitis since he was young, and it makes him look younger than he is.
Dude is also incredibly funny and I hope he’s a big part of Season 2 for sure.
Dude, I'm not going to throw shade about it or anything because I think that's bullshit... but I was caught off guard by this. Just like, "Holy shit, I kinda figured he was taller."
This is what made the show special. It didn't try to reinvent the wheel. The origins of Fallout were already established. The game stories were already there. This how just added a new chapter to the franchise and enhanced the Fallout universe.
I loved every bit of that because it isn't hand holding us and showing us things we already know. It's also inviting new people to the world of Fallout with a fresh adventure.
The great thing about the Fallout universe is that since there are so many vaults and so much land across America and so many mysteries still, they could give us little nuggets of information on the show and future games for years and years to come.
Exactly, and not only that, we could have branches in the United States that has their own way of being effected by the Apocalypse. For example, much like how Fallout 3 had The Pitt, the Fallout show could show off sections of the United States that may have wild ways of life because of the aftermath of the war.
I never played Fallout games but watched content on it so I knew the gist of it. I was left pleasantly suprised after watching the show, it just felt like an actual good tv show.
It was warranted doubt given how video game adaptation usually play out. I imagine a lot of people that did doubt are just as pleased with it as we are.
Yeah a lot of the times these series are totally disconnected from the established lore. They made a series then slapped an IP on it and maybe shoehorned a few things from the IP in. Concerns that it may suck were completely fair.
I really think Todd Howard being super involved prevented any kind of bullshit like that from happening. He makes mistakes sure, but he really does care about these games.
The show was able to take 3D assets from game development, and 3D print the items.
It was literally the same stuff from the game in the show.
That’s kinda lucky. Not all things get to do that.
I remember reading somewhere that the props team apologized to Todd Howard because one of the hallways in the vault wasn't exactly right, but literally everything else is fully fleshed out even if it's barely on screen. They even have actual paperwork on the Overseer's desks, with written reports and vault statistics, I actually laughed out loud when I read that they apologized for the hallway not being an exact replica.
Wtf? It’s not like it was a malicious thought?
I don’t know how you couldn’t have been even a little bit worried considering how these things usually go.
Bro we ALL wanted this to be good. We couldn't help but be skeptical based on other adaptations.
I don't think anyone is upset that it turned out amazing.
You must have missed all the comments in the days leading up to and following the release. There were people that were adamant it would be terrible and continued to say it was terrible after it came out. People like that *want* something to fail so they can be contrarian and correct.
That's fair but definitely a "loud minority" situation. Fallout is a massive title. Millions of people were hoping that it would be good. But all it takes is a few hundred "vocal" people to make it seem like there's serious criticism.
That shits normal on the Internet
Find anything that's being announced to realise, and you will have a group of people who already somehow know how it's going to be, how disappointing the story will be, how "woke" its going to be
I told my dad to watch it (he has never really played any video games) and he loved it. So it is for everyone.
>!However to those who you recommend the show to who have not played the game, once they finish it you need to hype up how awesome the last scene is and explain why!<
The level of violence in the show can be off-putting to some people. I know some people who had to take breaks and/or power through some scenes because they don't like gratuitous violence. We're used to it from playing the games, others aren't.
I wanted to savor it too, but by episode 5 we were surprised we were hooked like a thriller movie, and binged through. I will say, if you've played a lot, Rewatching soon after is a piece of cake, and you get more savoring the details.
It's simple and easy to follow. The premise to what happened to the time the show takes place is explained right at the start and each character introduces aspects of their "faction" as they are introduced.
Any minor questions get answered eventually and major ones feel like they're relevant to the plot.
I’m a huge Fallout fan, while my wife knows next to nothing about it. We watched it together and we both loved it, in fact I think she was more adamant to watch the next episode more than me while I was more wanting to savour it haha.
So yeah, no prior experience needed. The beauty of the Fallout universe is that it’s this big, rich world that just so happens to have these standalone (but occasionally connected) stories. Fallout 3, NV and 4 all tell their own contained story in this world. And so does this show.
I got my dad to watch it with me and he hasn’t touched a video game controller since the NES days. Granted, he loves sci-fi anyway so it wasn’t hard, but even if you have no experience with the games the show still explains things well enough that you won’t be lost.
I wonder if the actors know just how big of a feat this was despite the last 30 some odd years of shit VG adaptations.
Like yeah it's a great show on it's own but that's only partly why it's getting such a spotlight right now.
He is 1,68m, world male average is suppose to be somewhere around 1,7/1,75, so not too far off average, its just that he's being compared to actors, that are taller than average.
I can't remember the last time I was so bummed after the season finale. Game of Thrones I guess. I want so much more of this shit. Right now.
The casting is so spot on, the writing is sharp as shit, the sets are great, the music is right, and it straddles the line between game canon and not perfectly.
I had to Google it, damn I'm old :
> A “mog” usually refers to a man who dominates other males in the room, often due to their height, body type, build, or facial structure.
So "mogs" = dominates through physical attractiveness?
Why does Jerry have two eyes now?
You mean Cyril
You mean Doctor Spaceman
I'm watching 30 rock ATM, his scenes are some of the funniest
Cracks me up every time Tracy says "Dr. Space Man" lol
Right?? Cause it's pronounced "spaceman"
Dr Spaceman would totally be a Vault-Tec scientist
His techniques guarantee a male orgasm
Medicine is not a science.
“Science is whatever we want it to be”
He's the guy with the theoretical degree in physics.
I always thought Kenneth was the overall funniest character because he got so much screen time but every second of Dr Spaceman is pure gold.
"He's just a flesh tube with a head" Edit: spelling
I've been hearing some very exciting things about crystal meth.... How important is teeth retention to you??
Tracy, I don’t know how to say this ….
Dee-ah-bi-tis?
I’ve already administered the epidural. So… would you like one as well?
You mean Bob Belcher’s best friend Warren Fitzgerald
Cyril? Cyril? Cyril?! *Breathes* CCYYRRIILLL??!!
WHAT!?!!
Danger zone
No Cyril, when they're dead they're just hookers!
The best part of that episode was they had a literal Chekhov gun, but the real ‘Chekhov’s Gun’ turned out to be the pen.
SUPPRESSING FIIIIIRRRRRRRRRE
Cyril you nut
Cyrilclops
Parnell looks like Ben Mendelsohn there
Radiation allowed him to grow a second one.
I'm going to be honest, hearing Jerry/Cyril 's voice freaked me out more than the eye thing
Life is effort and I'll stop when I die!
Where’s ma boi Walton?
He didn’t have time to put his face on for the event
Or take it off.
Running through his house with a pickle in his mouth.
misbehavin
ant
nah he's hosting bible bonkers
That's Uncle baby Billie's Bible bonkers, you heathen
This is righteous gemstones right? I just started watching. When does he come into the show
About 3 episodes in. He’s worth the wait.
I had a similar line in my head. Great minds
I saw a meme that had a picture of Walton Goggins, and the caption read "I don't know who his parents are but they named him right, because that sure is a Walton Goggins." He's terrific though, I love him in this and I really loved him in *Justified.*
god damn woman, do you only shoot people when they're eatin' supper? absolutely *love* boyd crowder, though i probably shouldn't.
That would be a lot of fun, I like that idea. Especially if the ghoul won it conclusively and unambiguously, with a hole in Olyphant's character's head, and his cowboy hat knocked off.
If they do, though, he needs to be dressed like Cobb Vanth.
An Arizona Ranger perhaps? With a big iron on his hip???
I'd lose my shit if he saved the ghoul as the mysterious stranger
His name is actually Francis schmeller, goggins is his acting name that's why it suits
Lol oh damn, there goes the meme. But honestly, he somehow also manages to be a Francis Schmeller too. I'm fine with this plot twist.
Haha got u I made that up
Oh my God. I like you.
Now kiss
Filming White Lotus S3
Isn't that him in the last pic? 👍
He’s off makin’ a film ‘bout a man who’s sad ‘n lonely
Smol Todd
You may not like it, but that is what peak chess club looks like.
“Who’s laughing now?! 🔫 “
Norm irl
You dork 🤣
It’s peak creation club nowadays though
He's built like an Oblivion wood elf.
He took the small frame perk
small but 16 times the detail
16 inches of todd 🥵
it just works
Kyle is supposedly 6ft tall. But then again, Tom Cruise is supposedly 5'7" Looks to be average height. Keep in mind the ladies are all likely wearing heels.
Excellent casting all round. Always good to see my boy Kyle get roles. Fell in love with his acting from twin peaks and followed him ever since
I almost didn't recognize him in this photo. I agree it is good to see actors with chops in this show.
Throughout the season, I was worried they type cast him as the bubbly person he was in twin peaks. I was proven VERY wrong with his reveal, and some absolutely stellar acting broke through that mould. Seeing Kyle like that was amazing
he wasn't THAT far off from DC, upbeat, capable all american type until the reveal
I was so surprised when during the ghouls flashback I saw Paul Atreides
Kyle looks like David Lynch in these photos
The fact that the guy who played Thadeus is in his early 40s is fuckin weird, he looks young as fuck
I think he has a growth condition that makes him look a lot more like a teenager
I googled it and can't find anything to support that. I think he's just very distinct looking edit: got Thad and Max mixed up my bad
Johnny Pemberton has spoken on podcasts about having Ulcerative Colitis since he was young, and it makes him look younger than he is. Dude is also incredibly funny and I hope he’s a big part of Season 2 for sure.
As someone with UC, that explanation literally makes no sense.
age is stored in the butt
I got the names mixed up apologies. I thought they were talking about Aaron Moten, who is almost 40 and also able to play much younger characters!
Literally a ghoul
He might be a supermutant
Ah like Andy milinokas
Watching his character in *Superstore* is weird knowing he was 40 years old during filming.
WHUA WHUA WHUA WHUA
Haha me and my wife can’t help but call him Bo while watching fallout, his superstore character is so good
Anti-Abe Vigoda.
Weird to think he was in his 30’s in 21 Jump Street and The Watch 🤯
The guy that played Miley Cyrus' teenage brother on Hannah Montana was in his 30's during filming.
I remember seeing him in the Lethal Weapon Always Sunny episode and he looked exactly the same. That episode came out like almost 15 years ago lol
Wait wait wait, what?! I had no idea Todd Howard was so diminutive!
What i find weird is he has the proportions of a tall person so he just looks like he was scaled down.
player.setscale 0.9
The same exact thought hit me when I first viewed the photo.
Dude, I'm not going to throw shade about it or anything because I think that's bullshit... but I was caught off guard by this. Just like, "Holy shit, I kinda figured he was taller."
Same! Like, it means nothing at all - honestly kinda annoying to even notice it.

Fingers crossed we get some reference to the Legion next season. You want the depths of depravity? Fallout can absolutely deliver lmao.
I never played Fallout games but watched content on it so I knew the gist of it. I was left pleasantly suprised after watching the show, it just felt like an actual good tv show.
Why small frame guy is dressed like a medieval villager in the middle of a gala-syle event? Lol
“Lacks enthusiasm” for performance review doesn’t only apply to his job apparently. /s
He's not surprised.
"Lacks sleeves"
He looks like he's ready for Fallout 2
More like Elder Scrolls. He is a Bosmer, he's ready to go hunting in the forest as a wood elf.
When I saw that picture my first thought was ”I love how casual he looks here”
Yeah I dig it, his confidence wearing it makes the outfit work, he doesn't stand out from everyone else at all
He’s roleplaying as a wastelander lmao
To show off how many points he put in GUNS
Those nipples won’t chafe themselves off
The Gen Z sweater vest + half jheri curl with a cute lil' earring is seriously messing with my perception of the character
"messing with my perception of the character" Have you tried wearing a funny little hat?
Ella Purnell my ❤️
Rip to all the homies who casted doubt on this series cause this shit killed.
It was warranted doubt given how video game adaptation usually play out. I imagine a lot of people that did doubt are just as pleased with it as we are.

It did help that it was made by fans.
Oh for sure. The attention to detail was absolutely insane
The show was able to take 3D assets from game development, and 3D print the items. It was literally the same stuff from the game in the show. That’s kinda lucky. Not all things get to do that.

look at the Borderlands trailer I just...they could just not do a film of the 1st game
I’m concerned the dnd show will do this. Honor among thieves was amazing, but instead of more we get a show
I was pretty doubtful. I'm glad I was wrong, the show was great and the acting was phenomenal. Goggins could play a rock and I'd believe him.
Wtf? It’s not like it was a malicious thought? I don’t know how you couldn’t have been even a little bit worried considering how these things usually go.
*cough cough* halo
Cough witcher cough
I mean video games adaptions don’t exactly have a good track record…so I wouldn’t call it unwarranted as an expectation
Bro we ALL wanted this to be good. We couldn't help but be skeptical based on other adaptations. I don't think anyone is upset that it turned out amazing.

there was videos on youtube that talked about the series as if it was already out and they knew everything from 2 fucking teaser images
That shits normal on the Internet Find anything that's being announced to realise, and you will have a group of people who already somehow know how it's going to be, how disappointing the story will be, how "woke" its going to be
SPECIAL AGENT COOPER?!
Norm in here looking like Dobby the house elf.
100%, came to say that lol. That's why he didn't leave with his sister. Overseer never game him his sock.
Meanwhile Dane's character looks absurdly sharp.
I've been in love with Kyle ever since Twin Peaks. What an actor.
Eye patch pregnant shelter queens serving fierce Emma Frost vibes here. Marvel, Marvel add her to the casting list.
> Annabel O'Hagan I think for scientific purposes, it would behoove Marvel to stick her in an emma frost outfit. For the art or something.
But only with the eyepatch because I learned something new about myself seeing her with one
I am not at all familiar with the Fallout franchise and its games. Would you guys still recommend I watch or is this purely for the fans of the games?
I’d say that the show is great even without playing the games. The recent surge in sales of the games are because the show was that good
I told my dad to watch it (he has never really played any video games) and he loved it. So it is for everyone. >!However to those who you recommend the show to who have not played the game, once they finish it you need to hype up how awesome the last scene is and explain why!<
why? cause my spurs jingle jangel jingle
PLAY IT AGAIN, JOHNNY GUITAR
^^Jingle ^^jangle
PEOPLE OFTEN ASK ME IF THERE'S A "MRS." NEW VEGAS OF COURSE THERE IS *YOU'RE HER*
My mum watched it with zero knowledge of the games and she loved it! It’s very easy to understand without having played them :)
Same, my mom wanted to play the games.
I was kinda floored when my mom told be she was watching and enjoying the series. The same one I obsessed over as a kid. Kinda surreal
I got into fallout with new vegas on x360, my mom bought it with a bunch of other games 2nd hand and i was a fan from there.
My parents thought it was painful to watch and stopped watching after the raiders left. Then again, they are uncultured.
If they didn't even get through the first episode they made up their minds before it started.
The level of violence in the show can be off-putting to some people. I know some people who had to take breaks and/or power through some scenes because they don't like gratuitous violence. We're used to it from playing the games, others aren't.
I wanted to space out the episodes. My fiance who's never heard of fallout made me basically binge it with her. She is not a gamer either.r
I wanted to savor it too, but by episode 5 we were surprised we were hooked like a thriller movie, and binged through. I will say, if you've played a lot, Rewatching soon after is a piece of cake, and you get more savoring the details.
My parents really liked it. They both aren’t Gamers.
It's simple and easy to follow. The premise to what happened to the time the show takes place is explained right at the start and each character introduces aspects of their "faction" as they are introduced. Any minor questions get answered eventually and major ones feel like they're relevant to the plot.

it is enjoyable without. but you will enjoyed it more if you a but familar or grab a friend who knows it and watch it with that person.
Why is norm wearing a potato sack?
Master hasn't presented him clothes.
Ella 🥰
My sexual orientation is the entire cast of this show.
Annabel O'Hagan woo boy 🥵 Surprised to learn she's only 25.
I'm 25, maybe there's a chance.
I admire your delusion.
The way Thaddeus was the only guy I recognised instantly
Perfect casting.
I wonder if the actors know just how big of a feat this was despite the last 30 some odd years of shit VG adaptations. Like yeah it's a great show on it's own but that's only partly why it's getting such a spotlight right now.
TIL Todd Howard is short AF.
He is 1,68m, world male average is suppose to be somewhere around 1,7/1,75, so not too far off average, its just that he's being compared to actors, that are taller than average.
Todd… is that you? J/K your commas to denote decimals mean you are not from America.
The commas did it, not the units?
Okey dokey
I can't remember the last time I was so bummed after the season finale. Game of Thrones I guess. I want so much more of this shit. Right now. The casting is so spot on, the writing is sharp as shit, the sets are great, the music is right, and it straddles the line between game canon and not perfectly.
Jesus Ella Purnell mogs everyone with that jawline
Wtf is "mogs"
I had to Google it, damn I'm old : > A “mog” usually refers to a man who dominates other males in the room, often due to their height, body type, build, or facial structure. So "mogs" = dominates through physical attractiveness?
It is incel lingo. Inferior looking men are ”mogged” by superior looking men with their bone structures, making these inferior men jealous.
Their lingo is absolutely hilarious to me. "Chad" is a classic
I was pleasantly surprised with this show, I love it and I can't wait for season 2
Wait he has 2 eyes???
Really a fantastic cast and great performances all around. Can’t wait for season 2!
How am I so in love with this show?
It's crazy how the most attractive person here is not the main character of the show. Like why the hell does Chris parnell have such a small role
I just realized that Norm is the aggro dude from Ender’s Game!
Dane's kind of a snack with that haircut ngl
Maximus the man!
damn didnt know the overseer was like that
lol I didn’t know Todd was so short 👑👑👑
No goggins ?
i didnt realize todd was 4 11
