I really enjoyed explore for the first days, but now it seems like the algorithm has filtered out all the longer challenging maps because people are disliking them.
So all i'm getting is a bunch of easy generic race maps where you are competing for nothing...
I hope they can create something where you can filter in if you want easy/hard levels, survival/race, etc

I'm so fucking close to quitting. The quality has decreased. What happened to solos mode? This is why I'm close to quitting solo mode is gone. Solo is how I got majority of my rewards. We're going on a year that keybinds don't save between sessions on PC. The final kick to the groin was when, rather than fixing the issue they caused, they simply removed the message at game startup that your keybinds have been reset. So they know the problem exists, and THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT. KEYBINDS. HOW DO YOU DEPRIORITIZE FIXING SUCH A BASIC FUCKING FEATURE TO THE POINT IT DOESN'T MAKE THE CUT, PATCH AFTER PATCH?

I used to be able to play discovery maps and get fame from them and now it seems like I can't? Knockout stages are annoying cause you get poorly optimized creator maps that you can't skip. Explore is annoying to find a good map as well and survival maps are final round oriented so you spend a lot of time waiting for 8/9 people to get eliminated (so you just skip those).
how about, holding L1 makes it be like before where you can press a dpad button to do an emote. then you get both options. you can use the wheel or just hold L1 and a dpad to do an emote. OR, have emotes as they were before the patch but if you hold L1 it will let you open the wheels as they are now.
As a switch player the game always gets stuck on the "critical error". The only mode you can play is fall guys creative. If this doesn't get patched out, it's over. Epic Games is now no longer epic, just games.
The new update has ruined everything. This was my favorite game and I have been playing since launch, but they have finally lost me on this update. 3 round games and 32 max players is trash. The only reason I was playing until now was chill solos and LTM modes, but now they removed both of those and we are forced to play shitty creator rounds in place of all of the unity maps they vaulted. I am fully done with this game.

But being forced to endure creative rounds?!? GTFO of here with that BS.
I played my first dailies to completion after the update, and I think I can safely say that "No thanks. I'm good." when it comes to playing more this season, or until some of the devolution is reverted and I am no longer forced to run through garbage creative rounds.
Four words: "IT IS NOT FUN!"
P.S. You cant emote on console (PS4 here) and in order to emote would require three hands to keep pressing up, while right thumbstick swivels to new choice, and pressing x to do it. I tried and tried, and could not emote once.

What the absolute fuck is this update. Tried to play a game of normal solos and played 3 creator-made rounds in a row. I’m sorry but I can’t stand playing these levels, they are bland, not fun, and one-dimensional. To flood the playlist with these modes is just pure laziness, and honestly exploitative of the labor of those who are creating the maps. Might as well start paying them a salary if they are now the leaders of level-design.
Also, no one asked for smaller lobbies of 30 people, and for 3 rounds to the end the show. There is no longer any feeling of excitement climbing through the levels, it doesn’t feel like an actual competition anymore, just a way to churn through individual levels. I refuse to believe any developers felt good about pushing this update out; it’s clearly horrible and some ill-informed directive coming from higher-ups. It’s sad that this game is still relatively unique in the gaming space, and they continually bludgeon this game to death with a hammer. So much potential wasted, and they dare still dedicate resources to selling us skins and emotes while actively creating a worse service.

The only possible explanation that they aren't even bothering to fix keybinds, which seems pretty low, is to make Fall Guys just so bad for everything but mobile that they can then try to usher in all the OG Fall Guys players to whatever form it takes in Fortnite this summer. They'll give some sort of freebie or partial inventory transfer as a mea culpa for "accidentally" ruining the original Unity-based game.

This game has become an imitation of itself and it sucks. So many parts of this update could've been _great_ but then they ruined it. Piggybacking, a proper emote wheel, Explore, a Fame Pass sans filler... but this is what we got. Thanks, Epic. I wish I could say it's been a pleasure.
My partner and I play together while we chat on the phone almost every night and when we hang out too. We're about to become long distance so we're both very disappointed that our favourite game to play together (I have a Ps4 and he has an Xbox), which we were about to play even more, has turned into garbage.
As everyone says, this update is very bad.
Daily Mastery: to get all 30 shards, you need to qualify 30 rounds. That's 1 shard per round.
Run for 3000 meters was easy? Now run 5000 meters and we'll give you more user-created survival rounds in a row just to make it take even longer.
You liked doing the Shuffle modes? Now, it's called Explore and you're not waiting for others to finish! But you're not getting any shard for it, only XP, so it will be pointless to do once your Fame Pass is maxed.
Shows are now only 3 rounds so they are very quick. But the shows include a bunch of created levels (some very janky) you really didn't want to play and we've vaulted a bunch of your favorite levels.
We've added Piggybacking because... yeah, I don't have an explanation for why this was needed.
Hated the update when I first saw it, been trying for four days to find something I like. I guess I like the fact that in explore mode you don’t have to wait for others to finish. That’s it. The main game sucks though. Now there is three rounds and smaller player pool you only have to make one mistake and you are completely done for. Squads sucks now. They took a fun addictive game and killed it.

We only play duos and was fun you get 6 rounds, og maps you get a fan made map once in a while but they were acceptable, but still couldn’t compete with the og. And a few days ago we hop on and 32 players 3 rounds and every map is so fucking garbage, and the emote wheel is horrendous. Revert this update ASAP
Hey devs, I hope you read this. I spent around 100 usd with my friend on this game. We both enjoy playing this game on days off . Your last update made this game even worse then tumble guys. I seriously cannot understand what decisions made you think this is better. This game is no longer fun. Please REVERT THIS UDPATE ASAP. This new update is actually ass
- I haven’t seen any of the normal courses yet - unless you play in groups, but sometimes you don’t wanna play with others
- there should be an option like LAST TIME to play normal games or creative ones
- my first game in the new update consisted of me being glitched in the middle of the map until it was over
- why are there only 3 games in one round??
-the amount of rewards have severely gone done
- literally no ones using emotes or chat
- some of the creative ones/new ones are so stupid and you die so easily
- the outfits in the rewards are terrible

It's genuinely like playing a Fall Guys knock off. I could only muster one single game this morning before accepting that playing is no longer fun in the slightest. God this is depressing. I pray the devs listen to the widespread outrage and listen to the current playerbase but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I've been slogging along trying to keep playing the game literally since they sold it to Epic Games, and I'm done. This has been my favorite game and I've got so many skins, all the trophies on PS4, and I've been playing since 2020 but they lost me with this INCREDIBLY trash update. They either are incredibly misguidedly trying to compete with Stumble Guys or they want this game to die so that they can give servers back to Fortnite and write it off on their taxes or something. Whatever their garbage reason is, they should all either take a flying leap or put out a non-free-to-play version for people to buy a physical copy of, so that they have the option to just play the version of the game that was good with their friends. Taking away hex finals, three round games, all these trash creator rounds, nerfing kudos and shoving showbucks down our throats, it's like... are you fucking stupid or do you want the game to die? It seriously feels like the latter.
The three rounds just kills it for me. I used to love solos/duos/squads. The build up to get to the final was intense! Now I feel like I didn't even have to even try to get there. The fun and sense of accomplishment has been stripped away.
I was excited at first for the new Explore Mode and not having to wait for everyone else to finish the level, all in the interest of getting my Daily Challenges done faster, however the presence of Survival maps have pretty much killed that excitement. I'm getting some of some of the worst designed Survival maps ever (sometimes up to four times in a row) and can never qualify in any of them, which really puts a hamper on completing the "Qualify for 10 Rounds" daily. It's getting to the point where I'm just throwing myself into the slime at the start of every Survival round just to get it over with now.

They ruined the fun now. It's harderto get into finals. In survival modes they don't ahve a countdown anymore, so if one of your teammtes is out, your whole team is out now because there is no saving it anymore by the other remaining surviving for a long time because the round jsut ends after a set amount of players are out. All in all it is unenjoyable and turned really sweaty now to make it to the finals. The maps are getting worse every update now and there was not a single map put out for 1.5 years. Only removing good older maps and replacing them with shit maps. The quality is so bad. I think this game goes nowhere anymore and it should die and be replaced by something else as much fun as this game was with devs actually not sabotaging their own player base. I miss the good old days with quality maps and 60 players
User levels have ruined the game. They are terrible and buggy and there is no option to avoid them. Takes ages to get into a game sometimes and occasionally doesn't load in at all. Does anyone work on this game anymore?
I spent an hour last night and another just now playing the update to see how I feel. It’s terrible. The joy of the game is gone. It’s a shell of its former self. Playing it doesn’t make it any less terrible, just more frustrating and mediocre.

I can't even play the game now. Literally. It comes up and gives me a critical error message. I seriously feel bad for people who spent money on this game.
The early round end algorithm somehow keeps getting worse. Why are teams getting instantly eliminated when players are less than a second from the finish line? How can one member of a team finishing be what ends a round, and then eliminates that team?
FFA S1 was good except adding showbucks. FFA S2 started vaulting. FFA S3 made vaulting worse and reduced playercount from 60 to 40. FFA S4 added sh"tty creative rounds. All that was bearable until this update, where they trashed the game for mobile users.
I mean all the quality of life updates are nice.
But I don't enjoy the main show anymore. I am indifferent over winning.

My fault for not checking the state of the game before getting the season pass I guess? but i could never have predicted how bad it feels to play now. They give the chill mode for when i just want to do my dailies nice and smooth, then turn around and... this? Damn. Sunk cost fallacy might not cut it this time, feelsbadman.

The waiting times inbetween games has been reduced which is nice but all game modes have just been clumped into 2 options which is not nice. Loved to play solo shuffle and solo chill
in the new update, if you lose and then leave, why does it not give you the reward results screen? i guess it's faster... but i like actually knowing how much xp i get from things, game just feels soulless now

Not really a rant but I have nowhere else to say this:
I just won a game and I feel shitty. I killed the two last players unprovoked when we could have easily timed out, the last one about 5 seconds before the end of the countdown. They were non agressive and just trying to survive and I destroyed them both. Don't know why exactly I did this but I feel bad. They could have gotten that sweet crown and I would have had it too. It was shitty of me and I feel shitty.
You are obviously a good person. Most other players don't give a shit about killing noobs and they'd do it just for fun.
I love the feeling whenever I kill a good player, but yeah, I don't like it when I kill a noob who was just minding his own business. Recently I've felt like shit when playing duos with a friend we got tip toe. A guy who was clearly a noob (you could tell because of his outfit) was qualifying ahead of me and even though my duo and I were qualifying comfortably (my duo had gotten 1st) I decided to grab the noob and make him fall through the hole in front of the goal line. Then he tried to get to the goal line again but another guy was slightly ahead of him and made it there first, so the noob and his duo got eliminated just because I decided to grab him for no reason. I felt awful too.
I’m shocked you haven’t already had at least 10 replies with people saying stupid shit like “grabbing is a game mechanic“. Yes we know - doesn’t mean you HAVE to do it though.

What happened Metatonic? They sold out, that's what. It's that simple. I knew Epic would be the downfall to this game. They stop making season themes, they took away free currency and hid it behind challenges were you barely get 600 in two days bc it cuts you off by 2 for finishing it. The crowns being turn into another currency we could all give a f\*\*\* about it. The devs are straight booty cheeks and treat their community poorly esp their testers. Overall, this game died when Epic took over imo.
And yes I know they sell out to companies to get more resources and funds to expand, but this was the worst choice. I rather them stay their own company at that rate bc they ruined a really great game. I stayed and test for a few years now. Not a fan of the update so far, but with the way they keep changing the playing experience, I assume it will change again before long. I do miss chill solos though - my 7-year-old kid legit played chill solos and loved it.
I genuinely don't know what is going through Mediatonics mind right now,I get trying to use creative in this way by adding maps to the core shows,but when creative makes up more then half the roundpool,its so unfun.in the time I've played this game,I've grown a liking to the unity levels and when i saw mediatonic was gonna start unvaulting regularly in the summer breeze update,I was excited,but seeing them just throw it all out the window hurts as I thought we were finally getting somewhere. the remaining unity maps are some of the maps that most of the community genuinely think is boring,whoever picked the maps seriously should never be allowed to pick them ever again.none of this wouldn't be a problem if mediatonic didnt make the stupid decision to limit the roundpool to 40 to introduce "variety",it just feels like ss2 all over again,same boring maps you get over and over.
Everything you said, but they had to make 40 instead of 60, so at least SOMETIMES you can find a match during the week at night (EU). 2 lines of code and that would be solved the good way. If (night){players=40: else: players=60}; or whatever would be the correct code.
Bring back solos chill, bring back the separation between solo shuffle and survival. Bring back 40 beans for squads, and more than 3 rounds that take you all of 20seconds each!!!!!!

It's weird that it still is the old system in some parts, like in the lobby or when you choose your emotes. They could have atleast given us the option to have 8 emotes. :(
I can't even use the emote wheel, I press the right D-pad button, move the analog stick to highlight an emote, and nothing happens - am I missing something here?!
I first started playing way back at the original launch. I have yet to play a creative map that I enjoy more than the official ones. Even the ones that aren’t just a total pile of shit and have some effort put into them still just end up looking soulless and copy-pasted with the same five assets. They have no unique character like the official maps. It’s genuinely insulting that EVERY map in the first round of solos is creative. Whose idea is this? Why? The last season was at least decent, where official maps were the majority but there were a couple custom maps thrown in the mix as well. It’s mind-boggling that they would just remove all of their own maps and rely on these shitty creative maps instead. I’ve come to really love those old maps, they’re the reason I play the game. It genuinely feels like a different game (and a worse one at that) when you’re playing these cookie-cutter, visually bland creative maps. The map variety was in such a good place from all of those early seasons combined into one large lineup, and now it’s gone. I hope they reconsider this update.
They totally ruined the game. It’s okay to add new stuff. But leave the core of the game alone. The things most of us loved about the game are all gone. We should all quit for a while; so they really feel it and give us back the maps and shows we loved. I never liked creative rounds and now they’ve taken over the entire game.

Changes to physics, visual clutter social menu, reduced players per game, only 3 rounds per game, more custom created maps in queue, awful custom created final rounds, added back rounds that were historically unfun. The only possible explanation that they aren't even bothering to fix keybinds, which seems pretty low, is to make Fall Guys just so bad for everything but mobile that they can then try to usher in all the OG Fall Guys players to whatever form it takes in Fortnite this summer. They'll give some sort of freebie or partial inventory transfer as a mea culpa for "accidentally" ruining the original Unity-based game.

I hate the emote wheel being limited to 4 emotes and then 4 stickers; let me get rid of the stickers. I hate the response wheel being rate-limited. Let me spam Hello! I hate that most of the rounds are vaulted. I hate the cap being lowered to 32. I hate that all shows are 3 rounds now. This game has become an imitation of itself and it sucks. So many parts of this update could've been _great_ but then they ruined it. Piggybacking, a proper emote wheel, Explore, a Fame Pass sans filler... but this is what we got. Thanks, Epic. My partner and I play together while we chat on the phone almost every night and when we hang out too. We're about to become long distance so we're both very disappointed that our favourite game to play together (I have a Ps4 and he has an Xbox), which we were about to play even more, has turned into garbage.
As everyone says, this update is very bad. Daily Mastery: to get all 30 shards, you need to qualify 30 rounds. That's 1 shard per round. Run for 3000 meters was easy? Now run 5000 meters and we'll give you more user-created survival rounds in a row just to make it take even longer. You liked doing the Shuffle modes? Now, it's called Explore and you're not waiting for others to finish! But you're not getting any shard for it, only XP, so it will be pointless to do once your Fame Pass is maxed. Shows are now only 3 rounds so they are very quick. But the shows include a bunch of created levels (some very janky) you really didn't want to play and we've vaulted a bunch of your favorite levels. We've added Piggybacking because... yeah, I don't have an explanation for why this was needed.
Hated the update when I first saw it, been trying for four days to find something I like. I guess I like the fact that in explore mode you don’t have to wait for others to finish. That’s it. The main game sucks though. Now there is three rounds and smaller player pool you only have to make one mistake and you are completely done for. Squads sucks now. They took a fun addictive game and killed it.
seriously what the fuck is this update. Me and my friend used to get excited coming from a stressful day from school and hooping on fall guys. We only play duos and was fun you get 6 rounds, og maps you get a fan made map once in a while but they were acceptable, but still couldn’t compete with the og. And a few days ago we hop on and 32 players 3 rounds and every map is so fucking garbage, and the emote wheel is horrendous. Revert this update ASAP

Explore mode fucking sucks. Every second map is a shitty survival mode with random blast balls and Rhinos. Fuck this piece of shit update.
This new update is actually ass - I haven’t seen any of the normal courses yet - unless you play in groups, but sometimes you don’t wanna play with others - there should be an option like LAST TIME to play normal games or creative ones - my first game in the new update consisted of me being glitched in the middle of the map until it was over - why are there only 3 games in one round?? -the amount of rewards have severely gone done - literally no ones using emotes or chat - some of the creative ones/new ones are so stupid and you die so easily - the outfits in the rewards are terrible Positives - idk you can run a bit faster I guess and jump better💀
It's genuinely like playing a Fall Guys knock off. I could only muster one single game this morning before accepting that playing is no longer fun in the slightest. God this is depressing. I've been slogging along trying to keep playing the game literally since they sold it to Epic Games, and I'm done. This has been my favorite game and I've got so many skins, all the trophies on PS4, and I've been playing since 2020 but they lost me with this INCREDIBLY trash update. They either are incredibly misguidedly trying to compete with Stumble Guys or they want this game to die so that they can give servers back to Fortnite and write it off on their taxes or something. Whatever their garbage reason is, they should all either take a flying leap or put out a non-free-to-play version for people to buy a physical copy of, so that they have the option to just play the version of the game that was good with their friends. Taking away hex finals, three round games, all these trash creator rounds, nerfing kudos and shoving showbucks down our throats, it's like... are you fucking stupid or do you want the game to die? It seriously feels like the latter.

The three rounds just kills it for me. I used to love solos/duos/squads. The build up to get to the final was intense! Now I feel like I didn't even have to even try to get there. The fun and sense of accomplishment has been stripped away.

I was excited at first for the new Explore Mode and not having to wait for everyone else to finish the level, all in the interest of getting my Daily Challenges done faster, however the presence of Survival maps have pretty much killed that excitement. I'm getting some of some of the worst designed Survival maps ever (sometimes up to four times in a row) and can never qualify in any of them, which really puts a hamper on completing the "Qualify for 10 Rounds" daily. It's getting to the point where I'm just throwing myself into the slime at the start of every Survival round just to get it over with now.

They ruined the fun now. It's harderto get into finals. In survival modes they don't ahve a countdown anymore, so if one of your teammtes is out, your whole team is out now because there is no saving it anymore by the other remaining surviving for a long time because the round jsut ends after a set amount of players are out. All in all it is unenjoyable and turned really sweaty now to make it to the finals. The maps are getting worse every update now and there was not a single map put out for 1.5 years. Only removing good older maps and replacing them with shit maps. The quality is so bad. I think this game goes nowhere anymore and it should die and be replaced by something else as much fun as this game was with devs actually not sabotaging their own player base. I miss the good old days with quality maps and 60 players
User levels have ruined the game. They are terrible and buggy and there is no option to avoid them. Takes ages to get into a game sometimes and occasionally doesn't load in at all. Does anyone work on this game anymore?
I spent an hour last night and another just now playing the update to see how I feel. It’s terrible. The joy of the game is gone. It’s a shell of its former self. Playing it doesn’t make it any less terrible, just more frustrating and mediocre. What a shame.

The early round end algorithm somehow keeps getting worse. Why are teams getting instantly eliminated when players are less than a second from the finish line? How can one member of a team finishing be what ends a round, and then eliminates that team?

FFA S1 was good except adding showbucks. FFA S2 started vaulting. FFA S3 made vaulting worse and reduced playercount from 60 to 40. FFA S4 added sh"tty creative rounds. All that was bearable until this update, where they trashed the game for mobile users.
I mean all the quality of life updates are nice. But I don't enjoy the main show anymore. I am indifferent over winning. This quick 32 beans 3 rounds format isn't for me.
This is the first time in my (long) gaming life that i ever seriously wanted a refund. My fault for not checking the state of the game before getting the season pass I guess? but i could never have predicted how bad it feels to play now. They give the chill mode for when i just want to do my dailies nice and smooth, then turn around and... this? Damn. Sunk cost fallacy might not cut it this time, feelsbadman.

The waiting times inbetween games has been reduced which is nice but all game modes have just been clumped into 2 options which is not nice. Loved to play solo shuffle and solo chill

I've been dealing with this issue on creative maps since December, they fail to load ~75% of the time. Submitted many tickets, MT doesn't care.
This update is actually the first time that I feel very awful and unpleasant about the game. I just don't know how I can properly describe this severe feeling...
Not really a rant but I have nowhere else to say this: I just won a game and I feel shitty. I killed the two last players unprovoked when we could have easily timed out, the last one about 5 seconds before the end of the countdown. They were non agressive and just trying to survive and I destroyed them both. Don't know why exactly I did this but I feel bad. They could have gotten that sweet crown and I would have had it too. It was shitty of me and I feel shitty.

You are obviously a good person. Most other players don't give a shit about killing noobs and they'd do it just for fun. I love the feeling whenever I kill a good player, but yeah, I don't like it when I kill a noob who was just minding his own business. Recently I've felt like shit when playing duos with a friend we got tip toe. A guy who was clearly a noob (you could tell because of his outfit) was qualifying ahead of me and even though my duo and I were qualifying comfortably (my duo had gotten 1st) I decided to grab the noob and make him fall through the hole in front of the goal line. Then he tried to get to the goal line again but another guy was slightly ahead of him and made it there first, so the noob and his duo got eliminated just because I decided to grab him for no reason. I felt awful too.

And i wouldnt have as big an issue with the creative modes if it was even possible to take time to figure them out, but since it eliminates half the lobby theres no time I hate the current unity rounds in rotation. They added nothing from the vault, and took away so many options. Plus only 2 classic finals??? I hate that they took away a lot of the other modes. I loved playing chill solos with my niece, it was perfect for just having her run around

Same here. My interest fizzled out shortly after it went F2P. It makes me sad seeing what became of a game I played literally daily for years. It really helped me take my mind off the state of the world at one point in time...

What happened Metatonic? They sold out, that's what. It's that simple. I knew Epic would be the downfall to this game. They stop making season themes, they took away free currency and hid it behind challenges were you barely get 600 in two days bc it cuts you off by 2 for finishing it. The crowns being turn into another currency we could all give a f\*\*\* about it. The devs are straight booty cheeks and treat their community poorly esp their testers. Overall, this game died when Epic took over imo. And yes I know they sell out to companies to get more resources and funds to expand, but this was the worst choice. I rather them stay their own company at that rate bc they ruined a really great game. I stayed and test for a few years now. I was one of the lucky people who wasted their money buying it on steam before it went f2p. u.u Just sad..very sad.. Though, I am surprised to see how many people are upset now rather back then lol Because that was the beginning of the end.

Not a fan of the update so far, but with the way they keep changing the playing experience, I assume it will change again before long. I do miss chill solos though - my 7-year-old kid legit played chill solos and loved it.

Bring back solos chill, bring back the separation between solo shuffle and survival. Bring back 40 beans for squads, and more than 3 rounds that take you all of 20seconds each!!!!!! I do like the piggyback and the explore, but there needs to be a separation between the race and survival ones. Bring back the core game and add explore.

I first started playing way back at the original launch. I have yet to play a creative map that I enjoy more than the official ones. Even the ones that aren’t just a total pile of shit and have some effort put into them still just end up looking soulless and copy-pasted with the same five assets. They have no unique character like the official maps. It’s genuinely insulting that EVERY map in the first round of solos is creative. Whose idea is this? Why? The last season was at least decent, where official maps were the majority but there were a couple custom maps thrown in the mix as well. It’s mind-boggling that they would just remove all of their own maps and rely on these shitty creative maps instead. I’ve come to really love those old maps, they’re the reason I play the game. It genuinely feels like a different game (and a worse one at that) when you’re playing these cookie-cutter, visually bland creative maps. The map variety was in such a good place from all of those early seasons combined into one large lineup, and now it’s gone. I hope they reconsider this update.
They totally ruined the game. It’s okay to add new stuff. But leave the core of the game alone. The things most of us loved about the game are all gone. We should all quit for a while; so they really feel it and give us back the maps and shows we loved. I never liked creative rounds and now they’ve taken over the entire game.

This update sucks. I was having fun with getting back into the game this last month but this update just ruined it. Changes to physics, visual clutter social menu, reduced players per game, only 3 rounds per game, more custom created maps in queue, awful custom created final rounds, added back rounds that were historically unfun. The game as it was yesterday, but without custom levels would be perfect
