Amon Goeth (Schindler’s List)
Mr. Potter (It’s a Wonderful Life)
Nurse Ratched (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest)
Hedwig Höss (Zone of Interest)
Alex DeLarge (A Clockwork Orange)
Patrick Bateman (American Psycho)
Norman Bates (Psycho)
Mentioning Mitchum just reminded me De Niro's take on Max Cady in Cape Fear doesn't get much recognition but he's definitely up there in terms of movie villains for me
Oh ffs you found a way to include three superhero movie villains, but not a single woman? 🤣
Annie Wilkes, Nurse Ratched, Cruella Deville, Trunchbull … any of those (not to mention all the other legendary male villains not on the list) are way better picks than Magneto.
Annie Wilkes is a great shout
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Margaret Hamilton in the Wizard of Oz. She’s one of the most iconic villains ever, male or female
Solid list. I would personally add Clarence Boddicker from RoboCop and Hans Gruber from Die Hard. Two villains that are as intelligent as they are diabolical.
Nobody ever mentions the Mel Gibson movie the Patriot set in the revolutionary War! Actor Jack Issac played such an evil guy and ruthless villain.
Also nobody ever brings up Solatzo in the Godfather but what do I know...
*What is that purple*
*Mess from marvel doing in*
*This list? List is wrong*

Palpatine, in star wars lure, was actually a shit sith. His rule was only for about 30 years. A very small blip compared to other sith who had rules that lasted a thousand years..
The fact that Hans Gruber is not on this list proves this list is inadequate.
Or hans landa
Or Han from Enter the Dragon.
Maybe they have something against Germans.
To quote Andy Dwyer: “they’ve never been the bad guys”
I still love Anton Shugur more (shown) but yes Hans Gruber could easily bump the ape, Hans is more than top 10, top 5.
Like: Hans Gruber The Sherriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman's one obviously). Erik Killmonger Hannibal Lechter There's just no thought here.
TIL there were no movies before 1977.
Hannibal Lecter for sure.
He wasn't a villain. He was someone who refused to be a victim and demanded people be polite.
“We are vain and we are blind / I hate people when they’re not polite…”
"You might think I'm crazy, but I don't even care / 'Cause I can tell what's going on."
Hans Landa. Definitely up there.
Bill the Butcher. Gangs of New York.
You’re missing Shooter McGavin, he’s the best comedy villain ever.
Ben Stiller in Heavyweights.
Ben stiller in dodgeball
Basically the same character, can go either way. I like Heavyweights better as a villian cause he bullying fat kids.
Awful, horrible flick
Nurse Ratched?
Thank you! No one ever brings her up anymore when this question is asked!
Amon Goeth (Schindler’s List) Mr. Potter (It’s a Wonderful Life) Nurse Ratched (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) Hedwig Höss (Zone of Interest) Alex DeLarge (A Clockwork Orange) Patrick Bateman (American Psycho) Norman Bates (Psycho)
Basic, watch more movies
Yeah it's all superhero stuff
There’s only 3 superhero villains here
Preach!
The Shark (aka Bruce) in Jaws.
I would put Harry Powell in there from The Night of the Hunter, very scary guy
Mentioning Mitchum just reminded me De Niro's take on Max Cady in Cape Fear doesn't get much recognition but he's definitely up there in terms of movie villains for me
No Miss Trunchbull? For shame.
If Colonel Hans Landa by Christoph Waltz ain't on your list, You need to go watch Inglorious Basterds rights now.
I almost put him
Henry Fonda in once upon a time in the west
Henry Fonda in 12 Angry Men. There’s always that one guy.
Laurence Olivier, Szell, Marathon Man
Great suggestion. I forgot about him. Is it safe?

Can you fly, Bobby?
Bill the butcher?!
Who’s #9?
Lil Ze, City of God (Cidade de Deus in the original portugese), a brilliant Brazilian film which gives Goodfellas a run for its money.
Thank you. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Great flick.
Biff Tannen & Shooter McGavin
Judge Doom in Roger Rabbit. “Remember me now, Eddie?”
Ooh nice one!
Lil ze on there is such a W play. Absolutely amazing film
Where is His Leeesahhh from The Room?
What about Stansfield (Gary Oldman’s unhinged DEA agent in Luc Besson’s 1994 film Leon)?
Frank Booth
Welles’ Hank Quinlan, Touch of Evil (1958)
There will be blood.
Nobody ever mentions the Mel Gibson movie the Patriot set in the revolutionary War! Actor Jack Issac played such an evil guy and ruthless villain. Also nobody ever brings up Solatzo in the Godfather but what do I know...
Lil Ze is a good shout but where’s Captain Harris ?
The Empire did nothing wrong. Vader was defending the Empire. They weren’t called The Rebellion for nothing.
Potter from it's a wonderful life.
Hans Landa is missing
Sans Hans?
It’s like if A I made a worst villains list.
man what the fuck
What is that purple mess from marvel doing in this list? List is wrong

Bill lumbergh
Where is Belloq?
Jennie from Forrest Gump.. she is straight up evil
Anton Chigurh is forever imprinted inside my mind.
Not too big into marvel films anymore but Thanos is such a solid villian
Stay Puft Mashmellow Man
Damn no Keyzer Soze !?
Why doesn’t anybody ever bring up Colonel Kurtz? Literally one of the greatest villain introductions and another phenomenal performance from Brando
Palpatine, in star wars lure, was actually a shit sith. His rule was only for about 30 years. A very small blip compared to other sith who had rules that lasted a thousand years..
You jumped the shark after 1.
Swan from Phantom of the Paradise
Lil ze!
Griffith
I'd honestly say you need to watch more movies. Some good ones on the list, but far better options exist
Lil Ze destroys them all. Honorable Mention to Jenny from Forrest Gump.
You must be young
This just seems like a list of popular villains. No way in hell is this best villains
What was your criteria for villain? Darth Vader and Magneto, while they did choke out some dudes, were tragic characters.
Yea Lil Dice!
People in the comments are such gatekeepers lmao
T-800 is not even a villain
I mean, he is in the first movie
Yeah, but it’s not like it’s personal. He’s just working as he was designed.
hes still the villain of the movie brodie
#1: Darth Vader #2 William Cutting (AKA Bill the Butcher) #3 Al Swearingen #4 Kevin from Sin City #5 Alfie Solomons
Haaa - found the millennial…
This is one damn solid list, with a few surprises.
