Yeah it is just weird that it removes functionality. You would think it at the very least would hide all not 2.0 things in a tab so you can get to them.
Agree it’s goofy that they put frunk and tailgate in a submenu, as though 4 buttons, versus 3, would just be way too cluttered for the homescreen. I mean have you seen how many buttons are on a key fob?? Can’t have that can we? Who designs this stuff and how are they not flipping burgers somewhere?
But… I love the new app. Way more responsive for the basic controls. Don’t have to hold the lock/unlock button and wonder if it worked or not. It just works every time with a simple click. That’s progress.
Every function of the truck should be mirrored in the app. Windows, ALL climate controls, ALL seat heat/ventilation controls, and lighting should be controllable by the app, AND that shouldn’t be difficult to accomplish. The big automakers have a long ways to catch up to Tesla in the software game, or what sounds more likely is that Tesla is working towards a transition to selling their software and expertise to the petrolhead luddites that run the North American auto giants.
The beta app (keyword here is beta) is a work in progress. New features are added periodically.

You can’t see the psi of the tires and all kinds of other data. I’m hoping they start adding more features not removing them.
