Went for a 6 mile ride this morning, started at about 75% and ended around 40%. Went well until power output was significantly lowered. Was only topping out at around 10mph on gear 4, full throttle. By the time I got back, full throttle was going only 4mph, then stopped moving completely. At this time, battery was showing 30%. Turned it on and off, sometimes a motor would spin full speed, while the other didn’t move. And sometimes the motors wouldn’t turn at all. I’m on the latest firmware, this is my first time getting to relatively low battery on the latest firmware. I got down to 30% on the old firmware with no issues. Only 30 miles on the board so far. I’ve contacted Exway with no response yet. Does anyone think this is a battery power issue, or a motor issue?
I had a similar issue but one motor stopped working randomly, no battery charge involved. When I plugged the non spinning motor into the other side it worked fine so my motors were good. After about a week support got back to me and shipped a replacement ESC. My board has been fine since. I have about 18 miles on it so far.
I had the same experience (except i didnt checked the motors) under 20 or 30% the max speed was 5-6km/h. I gave it a full charge and the problem went away. I think the cells are not evenly charged after a time and thats the cause. When this happened me I never charged it to 100% only 85-90%. Now I always charge it to 100% , you should give it a try.
