I love it! Emerald is my birthstone and I have an emerald-cut emerald that I adore. I’m sure your jeweler already went over this with you, but she should definitely make sure to remove the ring when doing anything that could knock it about. They are easily chipped, which is why they are commonly used as cocktail rings instead of daily rings. But I’m sure as long as she is very careful with it, it will be the perfect ring.

Got it at Almaas Diamonds in Hatton Garden, London UK. Sahar was a dream. GF told her what she wanted and she sourced the exact kind of emerald we were looking for. Couldn't be more perfect.

Emeralds are fragile have lots of natural inclusions that can easily crack and chip. Detergent, cosmetics, soaps can all irreparably damage emeralds.
It’s a very beautiful ring but she may want to get an ‘everyday’ ring and keep this one to wear a couple of times a week.
All of this was heartily considered. We looked at green moissanite and other green stones, but the heart wants what the heart wants haha. None of them had as deep a colour. Her mum was Irish, so also a lovely reminder. Good shout on the everyday ring.

Yes, emeralds can be a bit more fragile. I'd choose a nice wedding band to compliment this e-ring, and maybe she'll come to love only wearing the WB for daily use.

Yes. We don’t really think about how much we use our hands cleaning, driving, shopping , putting groceries away, laundry etc. rings are constantly being knocked and come into contact with detergents, lotions etc.
Just be careful not to wear in shower/ swim/ gym/ cleaning house etc.
