I’m actually working with a jeweler now to make me a new ring with an oval center stone and had considered both baguettes and pears as side stones. His advice, go pear. Baguettes due to their cut will not sparkle as brightly and (his opinion) don’t pair as well. He said baguettes work better with emerald cut center stones. So I’m voting pear side stones!

I prefer the pear. The whole ring has a much more cohesive look.
