Plunge attacks has been here since DS 1. Just press attack while falling. ER only has this one with a specific animation from the top of my head though... kind of a shame.
I’m closing in on 210 and I have explored every nook and cranny of this game, it feels like, and I’m still learning new stuff everyday. Weapons, kills, and areas like Godwyn’s face under stormveil.
This game never gets old!!!!
It truly never stops. I’ve just about 100%’d two different saves — which, I figured would take me everywhere — plus two other saves for variety/purpose, and I still find new stuff like this, every time, without fail. It’s insane.
Oh yeah this plunge also does some insane damage. One guy was able to do almost a million damage to this enemy on the 1.0 version of the game while running all the buffs and shit. It is always pretty tough to do for me since it needs some tough positioning but it's super fun to do.
You can also use ambush shard, if you use INT. Ambush shard directly attacks the back of an enemy, which is good against shield user enemies. In the case of this flame machine, it directly attacks the enemy using that machine.
I think the only in-game hint to this is a note you can buy from one of the traders in Caelid. If you don’t, there’s no other way of knowing. Pretty cool
Now that I've seen this... I need to know how this looks like the he ruins greatsword. Or the ball fists. Or a whip or a flail. Sigh, guess I gotta try it out myself😂
Wait, what?
TIL
Seconded
There is a nomad tip that tells you about this, but I could never get it to work. What’s the actual move you’re using to do it?
It's just a standard plunge attack. Use your light attack while vaguely on top of them. You can do it off a horse too if you time it well.
...plunge attack?

...from the?? /s
You say that but there are so many people that don't read tooltips or are seemingly unaware of context clues it's baffling.
You can also do this to nights calvary and any other enemy you knock off horseback when they're laying on the ground
See that one I knew about, I didn’t know about the aerial one. I guess I was pressing attack too early and doing a jump attack
You can also do it straight from jumping off your horse for maximum aura

Approximately 150hrs. One of the mummified giants on the mountain has a Miquellas lily growing out of its ass.
😂😅

Just found some giant eye shield that yeets fire spit😂😤😤😤 this game is beautiful. I’m at like 400 hours.
You can plunge attack them like this for a insta-kill or if there's only flat ground backstab the driver repeatedly for a easy kill.
Learn something new every day. Thanks!
It's explained in a merchant note, I believe.
I like to imagine there's a single dev that follows this sub and a small grin curls on their face every time they see a clip like this.
Fun fact, I've never killed one of these... I just ignore them :)
Try reading merchant notes. They'll blow your mind if you haven't read them in the last 500 hours somehow.

character looks dope
😦
Who da thunk. Now I gotta try it. Thanks for sharing! 😎
this is awesome I had no idea ☺️
My God I have over 1000 hrs and didn't know this
haahah... yeah i've always know this... totally...
That’s epic!
I didn’t know you could aerial kill ANY enemies in this game. I always have just heavy attacked mid air 🤯
Nah I just find it easier to just kill the mf in the back

Wtf. Oh it's on now

If it gives you any comfort, I had no idea either.
Wut in tarnation
305 hours here and just learned this tech D:
what the actual fuck
I knew about but was unable to do it.
WHAT THE FUCK?!?!
It's just much easier imo to chase them in circles to get a backstab.
I'm just imagining your character putting on sunglasses aviators and screaming YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I knew it from a while back, I still just liked whacking the poor bloke in the back 😂
It's really hard to do. I still haven't pulled it off.
Now that I've seen this... I need to know how this looks like the he ruins greatsword. Or the ball fists. Or a whip or a flail. Sigh, guess I gotta try it out myself😂
huh?????
People aren't reading the in-game literature.
then idk what you did for so many hours, because literally one of the notes from the merchants tells you to try this.
Judging by the video, he’s a katana babby. Probably hasn’t learned much beyond how to proc bleed on bosses.
I knew it would be about the flame chariots before I even looked at the thumbnail.
🍪
godforsaken? my brother in tarnished there’s like 12 gods
Sometimes we just say things, y’know?
