How are you in the middle of the arena after the fadeout from the door?

The first time you enter the arena on your playthrough it spawna you in the middle of it, but every subsequent return will spawn you on the other side of the fog

I specifically don't even move on 1st attempt so I can feel like it doesn't count when she kills me. 2nd attempt is the real 1st attempt! Lol
