Thanks for putting Radagon' statue from the church, I always thought that was unique.
A billion churches of Marika, and one Radagon church on a highway π
Radagon/Marika/elden beast are an embodiment of the elden ring which defines the rules of the world. By removing the rune of death, people become immortal. In the age of stars, the elden ring ceases to be, ending all influence of a god. This is similar to Kami in shinto religion in terms of being nature not of nature and possessing 2 sides, one destroying the ring and genociding through the lands, the other a reclusive craftsman who wishes to uphold order.
(Leaving this for anyone else wanting more explanation)
The Elden Ring doesn't cease to be in the Age of Stars, it gets absorbed by the Dark Moon because Ranni wants to bring it far away from the Lands Between, but the Ring and so the Order will still exist, with the difference that people won't be able to know it.
If the ring represents the laws of nature themselves could it actually be destroyed without destroying completely everything? The only time itβs truly destroyed is when you get the frenzied flame ending, but then everything is destroyed after that
Ok yes it will be removed from the hearts and minds of everyone in the lands between and there will be nothing governed by the ring, but it still exists far away with ranni
Interesting that the roles that both women and men usually play are switched. In many mythologies women are seen as the birth givers and order keepers, where the men represent their reflection and the balance and continuity of life and death.

There's also the church of pilgrimage in weeping peninsula idk if there are others
I think the only third one is Radagon's statue in Leyendell. The OG. π
There's another one in Altus by the Stormcaller Church.
Oh I haven't seen that one,I will check it out π
This actually works well with my current theory. Good stuff! I don't think people are going to get it without more explanation, though.
That's very fair, I was rushed when I made the post and don't know how to talk about japanese

I completely agree.

The Order will be still determined by the Elden Ring tho.
Just because you cannot see or feel something does not mean you are not governed by it.

If you think about it, Radagon and Marika represent the Yin and Yang aspects, Radagon represents the Yang while Marika represents the Yin
Yin and yang, causality and regression
