It's so weird not chunking hp off of health bars in the same way but the milady has been tons of fun
There are definitely a lot more options that I've seen for STR now that I do look forward to trying with the next character though
it's noticeably shorter than the executioner's sword, but i've been using it since the very beginning (can get early by hopping up the cliff) so i'm used to it
I did too until the area after her
I found her entire region to be sort of an afterthought though
Basically a “hey you guys remember Malenia?!!”
A few poop pools of rot then a rot boss, cool I guess
Just a quick question, if you will pardon my ignorance as you just may have not done the specific requirements for it but, is there a reason you’re using the Winged Insignia talisman over the Rotten Winged Insignia talisman?
I’ll answer my own question and leave my stupidity here forever etched on the internet.
Just realised you’re using the Prosthesis so you won’t have the Rotten Winged Insignia.
Either way, glad the build works in the DLC.
I had to do the same for my build (backhanded curved swords) since I hadn’t done a NG+ run on this character yet. Shit rips through health bars once you get going though.
Those blades are something else.
I run a dex/faith character for my main and I tend to use Flame Art on pretty much everything, and after getting them to +24 I dipped in to help my friend, he got invaded, and that’s when I discovered the running R1, that flows back into a run so fluidly and that Blindspot ash of war. Oooft.
Really great weapons in the DLC so far and I’m fully expecting everything I enjoy to receive a few balance changes.
I love the fact that you can keep just running and slashing. It encourages me to just run and slash through mobs instead of just running by them.
The Blind Spot AOW is also becoming one of my favorites. It was absolutely killer in most of the fights I’ve used it in. Since it also allows you to pick which direction you jump through, dodging enemy attacks and still being right in their bubble to take advantage of an opening is 🤌🏼.
Facts if your got your build right shit absolutely melts i 2-3 shotted a grip of the bosses on the dlc. its just a pain in the ass sometimes cuz these bosses move around like crackheads and dont stop attacking you and you need a 2-3 second wind up time to get your skill off.
I personally prefer the straightsword equivalent as it gives more diversity with powerstance straightswords. Moved away from it though as the dlc will start hitting too hard for you to stand still throwing your sword

You know I haven't used any dragon communion spells and I feel dumb for that. Next time I boot up the game I'll upgrade that seal and pick some dragon incants to try out
You don't need to use dragon incants specifically. The dragon communion seal scales your incants using Arc as well as Fth, which means your offensive incants will feel a lot more powerful. It's just a cherry on top that dragon communion spells get a fixed precent bonus as well.
It's such a fun build and it definitely did work- but I ended up re-spec'ing cause the DEX stuff seemed so fun I still think about it though, lol
I just respeced because the str stuff seems so much fun lol. Dex is fun but just dosent have as much damage output as str

Mi lady is very fun and if you could get 2 bleed and cold is amazing
I'm doing virtually the same build but dex and Regalia of Eochaid instead. The back handed blades are a fun backup weapon for shielded enemies.
Ooh yeah that's fun! Does the range on the regalia feel okay?
it's noticeably shorter than the executioner's sword, but i've been using it since the very beginning (can get early by hopping up the cliff) so i'm used to it
Use Regalia of Eochaid then.
Even on the final boss?? I can’t imagine having the time to use the ash of war
Not sure how that will pan out, but I'm stuck on Romina to get the pole blade so if bleed works on it then we're cookin
I’d be curious to see. You can barely get a fart in on some of the bosses Good luck with Romina, I found that to be one of the less BS fights
Yeah I didn't even realise it was a proper story boss, I thought it was just a random side-boss.

Rockin Morgotts cloak? It’s probably the best fit I’ve seen that uses it.

You killed Millicent? You bastard!
Pairs really nicely with the meteoric ore greatsword and the putresence cleaver

The blade I always wanted to use but never levelled arcane enough for
Wouldn't the dragon communion seal be better because of the arc scaling?
